Psalmi 25

NOVA VULGATA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 David. ALEPH. Ad te, Domine, levavi animam meam,	1 [Of David] ADORATION I offer, Yahweh,
2 BETH. Deus meus, in te confido; non erubescam. Neque exsultent super me inimici mei,	2 to you, my God. BUT in my trust in you do not put me to shame, let not my enemies gloat over me.
3 GHIMEL. etenim universi, qui sustinent te, non confundentur. Confundantur infideliter agentes propter vanitatem.	3 CALLING to you, none shal ever be put to shame, but shame is theirs who groundlessly break faith.
4 DALETH. Vias tuas, Domine, demonstra mihi et semitas tuas edoce me.	4 DIRECT me in your ways, Yahweh, and teach me your paths.
5 HE. Dirige me in veritate tua et doce me, quia tu es Deus salutis meae, VAU. et te sustinui tota die.	5 ENCOURAGE me to walk in your truth and teach me since you are the God who saves me. FOR myhope is in you all day long -- such is your generosity, Yahweh.
6 ZAIN. Reminiscere miserationum tuarum, Domine, et misericordiarum tuarum, quoniam a saeculo sunt.	6 GOODNESS and faithful love have been yours for ever, Yahweh, do not forget them.
7 HETH. Peccata iuventutis meae et delicta mea ne memineris; secundum misericordiam tuam memento mei tu, propter bonitatem tuam, Domine.	7 HOLD not my youthful sins against me, but remember me as your faithful love dictates.
8 TETH. Dulcis et rectus Dominus, propter hoc peccatores viam docebit;	8 INTEGRITY and generosity are marks of Yahweh for he brings sinners back to the path.
9 IOD. diriget mansuetos in iudicio, docebit mites vias suas.	9 JUDICIOUSLY he guides the humble, instructing the poor in his way.
10 CAPH. Universae viae Domini misericordia et veritas custodientibus testamentum eius et testimonia eius.	10 KINDNESS unfailing and constancy mark al Yahweh's paths, for those who keep his covenant andhis decrees.
11 LAMED. Propter nomen tuum, Domine, propitiaberis peccato meo: multum est enim.	11 LET my sin, great though it is, be forgiven, Yahweh, for the sake of your name.
12 MEM. Quis est homo, qui timet Dominum? Docebit eum viam, quam eligat.	12 MEN who respect Yahweh, what of them? He teaches them the way they must choose.
13 NUN. Anima eius in bonis demorabitur, et semen eius hereditabit terram.	13 NEIGHBOURS to happiness wil they live, and their children inherit the land.
14 SAMECH. Familiariter aget Dominus cum timentibus eum, ut testamentum suum manifestet illis.	14 ONLY those who fear Yahweh have his secret and his covenant, for their understanding.
15 AIN. Oculi mei semper ad Dominum, quoniam ipse evellet de laqueo pedes meos.	15 PERMANENTLY my eyes are on Yahweh, for he will free my feet from the snare.
16 PHE. Respice in me et miserere mei, quia unicus et pauper sum ego.	16 QUICK, turn to me, pity me, alone and wretched as I am!
17 SADE. Dilata angustias cordis mei et de necessitatibus meis erue me.	17 RELIEVE the distress of my heart, bring me out of my constraint.
18 Vide humilitatem meam et laborem meum et dimitte universa delicta mea.	18 SPARE a glance for my misery and pain, take al my sins away.
19 RES. Respice inimicos meos, quoniam multiplicati sunt et odio crudeli oderunt me.	19 TAKE note how countless are my enemies, how violent their hatred for me.
20 SIN. Custodi animam meam et erue me; non erubescam, quoniam speravi in te.	20 UNLESS you guard me and rescue me I shall be put to shame, for you are my refuge.
21 TAU. Innocentia et aequitas custodiant me, quia sustinui te.	21 VIRTUE and integrity be my protection, for my hope, Yahweh, is in you.
22 PHE. Libera, Deus, Israel ex omnibus tribulationibus suis.	22 Ransom Israel, O God, from al its troubles.
