1 When the wall had been rebuilt, I had the doors set up, and the gatekeepers (and the singers and the Levites) were put in charge of them.	1 Cuando estuvieron reconstruidas las murallas y yo coloqué las hojas de las puertas, fueron instalados porteros, como así también cantores y levitas.
2 Over Jerusalem I placed Hanani, my brother, and Hananiah, the commander of the citadel, who was a more trustworthy and God-fearing man than most.	2 Puse al frente de Jerusalén a mi hermano Jananí, y designé a Ananías comandante de la ciudadela, porque era un hombre de confianza y temeroso de Dios, más que muchos otros.
3 I said to them: "The gates of Jerusalem are not to be opened until the sun is hot, and while the sun is still shining they shall shut and bar the doors. Appoint as watchmen the inhabitants of Jerusalem, some at their watch posts, and others before their own houses."	3 Luego les dije: «Las puertas de Jerusalén no se abrirán hasta que comience a calentar el sol, y antes que se haya puesto, se las cerrará con barras. Además, los habitantes de Jerusalén montarán guardia, cada uno en su puesto, cada uno en frente de su casa. Lista de los primeros repatriados
4 Now the city was quite wide and spacious, but its population was small, and none of the houses had been rebuilt.	4 La ciudad era amplia en todo sentido y espaciosa, pero la población era poco numerosa y no se reconstruían las casas.
5 When my God had put it into my mind to gather together the nobles, the magistrates, and the common people, and to examine their family records, I came upon the family list of those who had returned in the earliest period. There I found the following written:	5 Por eso mi Dios me inspiró reunir a los notables, a los magistrados y al pueblo, para hacer el registro genealógico. 6 These are the inhabitants of the province who returned from the captivity of the exiles whom Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, had carried away, and who came back to Jerusalem and Judah, each man to his own city	6 Estas son las personas de la provincia que volvieron de la cautividad y del exilio. Después de haber sido deportadas por Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, volvieron a Jerusalén y a Judá, cada cual a su ciudad.
7 (those who returned with Zerubbabel, Jeshua, Nehemiah, Azariah, Raamiah, Nahamani, Mordecai, Bilshan, Mispereth, Bigvai, Nehum, and Baanah). 72 The priests, the Levites, the gatekeepers, the singers, the temple slaves, and all Israel took up residence in their cities.	72 Los sacerdotes, los levitas, los porteros, los cantores, una parte del pueblo, los empleados del Templo y todo Israel se establecieron en sus ciudades.
