Psalms 130

KING JAMES BIBLE	JERUSALEM
1 Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O LORD.	1 Cantique des montées. Des profondeurs je crie vers toi, Yahvé:
2 Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.	2 Seigneur, écoute mon appel. Que ton oreille se fasse attentive à l'appel de ma prière!
3 If thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?	3 Si tu retiens les fautes, Yahvé, Seigneur, qui subsistera?
4 But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.	4 Mais le pardon est près de toi, pour que demeure ta crainte.
5 I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.	5 J'espère, Yahvé, elle espère, mon âme, en ta parole;
6 My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning.	6 mon âme attend le Seigneur plus que les veilleurs l'aurore; plus que les veilleurs l'aurore,
7 Let Israel hope in the LORD: for with the LORD there is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption.	7 qu'Israël attende Yahvé! Car près de Yahvé est la grâce, près de lui, l'abondance du rachat;
8 And he shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities.	8 c'est lui qui rachètera Israël de toutes ses fautes.
