1 Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O LORD.	1 Cantique des montées. Des profondeurs, j’ai crié vers toi, Seigneur,
2 Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.	2 Seigneur écoute mon appel! Que ton oreille se fasse accueillante au cri de ma prière.
3 If thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?	3 Si tu tiens compte de nos dettes, Seigneur, qui donc, Seigneur, se maintiendra?
4 But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.	4 Mais le pardon est près de toi, il fera qu’on te vénère.
5 I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.	5 J’ai attendu, Seigneur, mon âme attendait et je faisais confiance à ta parole.
6 My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning.	6 Mon âme comptait sur le Seigneur, plus sûre que le veilleur de la venue du jour.
7 Let Israel hope in the LORD: for with the LORD there is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption.	7 Compte, Israël, compte sur le Seigneur, car la grâce est toujours là près de lui, et près de lui sont aussi ses délivrances.
8 And he shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities.	8 Le Seigneur rachètera Israël et prendra sur lui ses dettes.
