KÁLDI-NEOVULGÁTA | NEW JERUSALEM |
---|---|
ALLELUJA! Áldjátok az Urat, hívjátok segítségül nevét, hirdessétek a nemzetek közt műveit! | 1 Al eluia! Give thanks to Yahweh, cal on his name, proclaim his deeds to the peoples! |
Énekeljetek és zengjetek zsoltárt neki, beszéljétek el minden csodatettét. | 2 Sing to him, make music for him, recount all his wonders! |
Dicsekedjetek szent nevével, örvendezzen azoknak a szíve, akik az Urat keresik. | 3 Glory in his holy name, let the hearts that seek Yahweh rejoice! |
Keressétek az Urat és erejét, keressétek szüntelenül arcát. | 4 Seek Yahweh and his strength, tirelessly seek his presence! |
Emlékezzetek meg csodatetteiről, amelyeket művelt, jeleiről és szája ítéleteiről, | 5 Remember the marvels he has done, his wonders, the judgements he has spoken. |
ti, az ő szolgájának, Ábrahám utódai, választottjának, Jákobnak fiai. | 6 Stock of Abraham, his servant, children of Jacob whom he chose! |
Ő, az Úr, a mi Istenünk, az egész földön ő ítélkezik. | 7 He is Yahweh our God, his judgements touch the whole world. |
Örökké gondol szövetségére, szavára, amelyet ezer nemzedékre adott, | 8 He remembers his covenant for ever, the promise he laid down for a thousand generations, |
arra, amit Ábrahámmal megkötött, amire megesküdött Izsáknak. | 9 which he concluded with Abraham, the oath he swore to Isaac. |
Amit Jákobnak törvényül hagyott, örök szövetségül Izraelnek, | 10 He established it as a statute for Jacob, an everlasting covenant with Israel, |
mondván: »Neked adom Kánaán földjét, mint kötéllel kimért örökségteket.« | 11 saying, 'To you I give a land, Canaan, your allotted birthright.' |
Pedig csekély számmal voltak igen kevesen és jövevények azon a földön, | 12 When they were insignificant in numbers, a handful of strangers in the land, |
és nemzettől nemzethez vándoroltak, egyik országból a másikba. | 13 wandering from country to country, from one kingdom and nation to another, |
Nem engedte, hogy bárki is ártson nekik, sőt királyokat fenyített meg miattuk: | 14 he al owed no one to oppress them; for their sake he instructed kings, |
»Fölkentjeimhez ne nyúljatok, ne bántsátok prófétáimat!« | 15 'Do not touch my anointed ones, to my prophets you may do no harm.' |
Amikor éhséget bocsátott az országra, s összetörte kenyértartó botjukat. | 16 He cal ed down famine on the land, he took away their food supply; |
Elküldött előttük egy férfit, rabszolgának adták el Józsefet. | 17 he sent a man ahead of them, Joseph, sold as a slave. |
Béklyóba szorították lábát, vas került a nyakára, | 18 So his feet were weighed down with shackles, his neck was put in irons. |
amíg szava be nem teljesedett: az Úr igéje ugyanis igazolta őt. | 19 In due time his prophecy was fulfilled, the word of Yahweh proved him true. |
A király elküldött és megszabadíttatta, a népek fejedelme szabadon engedte; | 20 The king sent orders to release him, the ruler of nations set him free; |
Háza urává tette őt és minden jószágának parancsolójává, | 21 he put him in charge of his household, the ruler of al he possessed, |
hogy főembereit tetszése szerint kormányozza, és bölcsességre tanítsa véneit. | 22 to instruct his princes as he saw fit, to teach his counsel ors wisdom. |
Erre Izrael Egyiptomba költözött, és Jákob jövevény lett Kám földjén. | 23 Then Israel migrated to Egypt, Jacob settled in the country of Ham. |
Nagyon elszaporította népét az Úr, erősebbé tette ellenségeinél. | 24 He made his people increase in numbers, he gave them more strength than their enemies, |
Majd megváltoztatta azok szívét, úgyhogy meggyűlölték népét, szolgáival álnokul bántak. | 25 whose heart he turned to hate his own people, to double-cross his servants. |
Erre elküldte szolgáját, Mózest és Áront, a választottját, | 26 He sent his servant Moses, and Aaron, the man of his choice. |
és végbevitette velük beszédes jeleit és csodatetteit Kám földjén. | 27 They worked there the wonders he commanded, marvels in the country of Ham. |
Sötétséget küldött és homályt támasztott, mert lázongtak szava ellen. | 28 Darkness he sent, and darkness fel , but that nation defied his orders. |
Vizüket vérré változtatta, halaikat megölte. | 29 He turned their rivers to blood, and kil ed al the fish in them. |
Földjük békákat ontott királyaik szobáira. | 30 Their country was overrun with frogs, even in the royal apartments; |
Szavára legyek támadtak, szúnyogok lepték el egész határukat. | 31 at his word came flies, and mosquitoes throughout the country. |
Esőjüket jégesővé tette, égő tüzet bocsátott földjükre. | 32 He gave them hail as their rain, flames of fire in their land; |
Elverte szőlőjüket, fügefáikat, összetörte földjükön a fákat. | 33 he blasted their vine and their fig tree, and shattered the trees of the country. |
Szavára szöcskék nyüzsögtek, és megszámlálhatatlan vándorsáska, | 34 At his word came locusts, hoppers beyond al counting; |
és megemésztett földjükön minden növényt, megette földjük minden gyümölcsét. | 35 they devoured every green thing in the land, devoured al the produce of the soil. |
Megölte országuk minden elsőszülöttét, erejük minden zsengéjét. | 36 He struck al the first-born in their land, the flower of all their manhood; |
Aztán kivezette őket ezüsttel-arannyal megrakottan, törzseikben senki sem volt beteg. | 37 he led Israel out with silver and gold; in their tribes there was none who stumbled. |
Egyiptom örült, hogy kivonultak, mert rájuk nehezedett a tőlük való félelem. | 38 Egypt was glad at their leaving, for terror of Israel had seized them. |
Oltalmukra felhőt terjesztett föléjük és tűzzel világított nekik éjszaka. | 39 He spread out a cloud to cover them, and fire to light up the night. |
Kérésükre fürjek jöttek, és mennyei kenyérrel lakatta jól őket. | 40 They asked and he brought them quails, food from heaven to their hearts' content; |
Megnyitotta a sziklát és vizek fakadtak, folyók eredtek a sivatagban. | 41 he opened a rock, the waters gushed out, and flowed in dry ground as a river. |
Mert megemlékezett szent szaváról, amelyet szolgájához, Ábrahámhoz intézett. | 42 Faithful to his sacred promise, given to his servant Abraham, |
Kivezette népét ujjongásban, választottait vigasságban. | 43 he led out his people with rejoicing, his chosen ones with shouts of joy. |
Nekik adta a nemzetek országait, elfoglalták a népek tulajdonát, | 44 He gave them the territories of nations, they reaped the fruit of other people's labours, |
hogy megtartsák rendeleteit, és kövessék törvényeit. Alleluja! | 45 on condition that they kept his statutes, and remained obedient to his laws. |
