1 Wysławiajcie Pana, bo dobry, bo na wieki Jego łaskawość.	1 Al eluia! Give thanks to Yahweh for he is good, his faithful love lasts for ever.
2 Niechaj to mówią odkupieni przez Pana, ci, których wybawił z rąk przeciwnika	2 So let them say whom Yahweh redeemed, whom he redeemed from the power of their enemies,
3 i których zgromadził z obcych krajów, ze wschodu i zachodu, z północy i południa.	3 bringing them back from foreign lands, from east and west, north and south.
4 Błądzili na pustyni, na odludziu: do miasta zamieszkałego nie znaleźli drogi.	4 They were wandering in the desert, in the wastelands, could find no way to an inhabited city;
5 Cierpieli głód i pragnienie, i ustawało w nich życie.	5 they were hungry and thirsty, their life was ebbing away.

8 Niech dzięki czynią Panu za Jego miłosierdzie, za Jego cuda dla synów ludzkich,	8 Let them thank Yahweh for his faithful love, for his wonders for the children of Adam!
9 bo nasycił tego, który jest zgłodniały, i łaknącego napełnił dobrami.	9 He has fed the hungry to their hearts' content, filled the starving with good things.
10 Siedzieli w ciemnościach i mroku, uwięzieni nędzą i żelazem,	10 Sojourners in gloom and shadow dark as death, fettered in misery and chains,
11 gdyż bunt podnieśli przeciw słowom Bożym i pogardzili zamysłem Najwyższego.	11 for defying the orders of Yahweh, for scorning the plan of the Most High-
12 Trudami przygiął ich serca: chwiali się, lecz nikt im nie pomógł.	12 he subdued their spirit by hard labour; if they fel there was no one to help.
13 I w swoim ucisku wołali do Pana, a On ich uwolnił od trwogi.	13 They cried out to Yahweh in their distress, he rescued them from their plight,
14 I wyprowadził ich z ciemności i mroku, a ich kajdany pokruszył.	14 he brought them out from gloom and shadow dark as death, and shattered their chains.
15 Niech dzięki czynią Panu za Jego łaskawość, za Jego cuda dla synów ludzkich,	15 Let them thank Yahweh for his faithful love, for his wonders for the children of Adam!
16 gdyż bramy spiżowe wyłamał i skruszył żelazne wrzeciądze.	16 He broke open gates of bronze and smashed iron bars.
17 Chorowali na skutek swoich grzesznych czynów i nędzę cierpieli przez swoje występki;	17 Fools for their rebellious ways, wretched because of their sins,
18 obrzydło im całe jedzenie i byli bliscy bram śmierci.	18 finding all food repugnant, brought close to the gates of death-
19 W swoim ucisku wołali do Pana, a On ich uwolnił od trwogi.	19 they cried out to Yahweh in their distress; he rescued them from their plight,
20 Posłał swe słowo, aby ich uleczyć i wyrwać z zagłady ich życie.	20 he sent out his word and cured them, and rescued their life from the abyss.
21 Niech dzięki czynią Panu za Jego łaskawość, za Jego cuda dla synów ludzkich!	21 Let them thank Yahweh for his faithful love, for his wonders for the children of Adam!
22 I niech składają ofiary dziękczynne, niech głoszą z radością Jego dzieła!	22 Let them offer thanksgiving sacrifices, and recount with shouts of joy what he has done!
23 Ci, którzy na statkach ruszyli na morze, aby uprawiać handel na ogromnych wodach,	23 Voyagers on the sea in ships, plying their trade on the great ocean,
24 ci widzieli działa Pana i Jego cuda wśród głębiny.	24 have seen the works of Yahweh, his wonders in the deep.
25 Powiedział On i wzbudził wicher burzliwy, i spiętrzył jego fale.	25 By his word he raised a storm-wind, lashing up towering waves.
26 Wznosili się aż pod niebo, spadali aż do głębi; ich dusza truchlała w nieszczęściu.	26 Up to the sky then down to the depths! Their stomachs were turned to water;
27 Zataczali się i chwiali jak pijani, cała ich mądrość zawiodła.	27 they staggered and reeled like drunkards, and al their skill went under.
28 I w swoim ucisku wołali do Pana, a On ich uwolnił od trwogi.	28 They cried out to Yahweh in their distress, he rescued them from their plight,
29 Zamienił burzę w wietrzyk łagodny, a fale morskie umilkły.	29 he reduced the storm to a calm, and al the waters subsided,
30 Radowali się z tego, że nastała cisza, i że On przywiódł ich do upragnionej przystani.	30 and he brought them, overjoyed at the stillness, to the port where they were bound.

32 I niech Go sławią w zgromadzeniu ludu i na radzie starców niechaj Go chwalą!	32 Let them extol him in the assembly of the people, and praise him in the council of elders.
33 Rzeki zamienia On w pustynię, oazy na ziemię spragnioną,	33 He has turned rivers into desert, bubbling springs into arid ground,
34 ziemię żyzną na słony ugór skutkiem niegodziwości jej mieszkańców.	34 fertile country into salt-flats, because the people living there were evil.
35 Pustynię zamienił w zbiornik wody, a ziemię suchą w oazę.	35 But he has turned desert into stretches of water, arid ground into bubbling springs,
36 I tam osiedlił zgłodniałych, i założyli miasta zamieszkałe.	36 and has given the hungry a home, where they have built themselves a city.
37 Obsiali pola, zasadzili winnice i zyskali zbiory owoców.	37 There they sow fields and plant vines, and reap a harvest of their produce.
38 Pobłogosławił im, a bardzo się rozmnożyli, i dał im bydła niemało.	38 He blesses them and their numbers increase, he keeps their cattle at full strength.
39 Potem zmalała ich liczba i podupadli pod naciskiem niedoli i utrapienia.	39 Their numbers had fal en, they had grown weak, under pressure of disaster and hardship;
40 Lecz Ten, który wylewa wzgardę na władców i każe im błądzić przez puste bezdroża,	40 he covered princes in contempt, left them to wander in trackless wastes.

43 Kto mądry, niech to zachowa, niech rozważa [dzieła] łaski Pana!	43 Who is wise? Such a one should take this to heart, and come to understand Yahweh's faithful love.
