Neemia (نحميا) 12

SMITH VAN DYKE	NEW JERUSALEM
1 وهؤلاء هم الكهنة واللاويون الذين صعدوا مع زربابل بن شألتيئيل ويشوع. سرايا ويرميا وعزرا	1 These are the priests and the Levites who came back with Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua:
2 وامريا وملوخ وحطوش	2 Seraiah, Jeremiah, Ezra,
3 وشكنيا ورحوم ومريموث	3 Amariah, Mal uch, Hattush, Shecaniah, Rehum, Meremoth,
4 وعدو وجنتوي وابيا	4 Iddo, Ginnethoi, Abijah,
5 وميامين ومعديا وبلجة	5 Mijamin, Maadiah, Bilgah,
6 وشمعيا ويوياريب ويدعيا	6 Shemaiah, and Joiarib, Jedaiah,
7 وسلو وعاموق وحلقيا ويدعيا. هؤلاء هم رؤوس الكهنة واخوتهم في ايام يشوع	7 Sal u, Amok, Hilkiah, Jedaiah -- these were the heads of the priests and their kinsmen in the days ofJeshua.
8 واللاويون يشوع وبنوي وقدميئيل وشربيا ويهوذا ومتنيا الذي على التحميد هو واخوته	8 The Levites were Jeshua, Binnui, Kadmiel, Sherebiah, Judah, Mattaniah -- this last, with his brothers,was in charge of the songs of praise,
9 وبقبقيا وعنّي اخواهم مقابلهم في الحراسات.	9 while Bakbukiah and Unno, their col eagues, formed the alternate choir to theirs.
10 ويشوع ولد يوياقيم ويوياقيم ولد الياشيب والياشيب ولد يوياداع	10 Jeshua fathered Joiakim, Joiakim fathered Eliashib, Eliashib fathered Joiada,
11 ويوياداع ولد يوناثان ويوناثان ولد يدوع.	11 Joiada fathered Johanan, and Johanan fathered Jaddua.
12 وفي ايام يوياقيم كان الكهنة رؤوس الآباء لسرايا مرايا وليرميا حننيا	12 In the days of Joiakim the heads of the priestly families were: family of Seraiah, Meraiah; ofJeremiah, Hananiah;
13 ولعزرا مشلام ولامريا يهوحانان	13 of Ezra, Meshullam; of Amariah, Jehohanan;
14 ولمليكو يوناثان ولشبنيا يوسف	14 of Mal uch, Jonathan; of Shebaniah, Joseph;
15 ولحريم عدنا ولمرايوث حلقاي	15 of Harim, Adna; of Meremoth, Helkai;
16 ولعدو زكريا ولجنثون مشلام	16 of Iddo, Zechariah; of Ginnethon, Meshul am;
17 ولابيا زكري ولمنيامين لموعديا فلطاي	17 of Abijah, Zichri; of Minjamin, . . .; of Moadiah, Piltai;
18 ولبلجة شموع ولشمعيا يهوناثان	18 of Bilgah, Shammua; of Shemaiah, Jehonathan;
19 وليوياريب متناي وليدعيا عزي	19 and of Jojarib, Mattenai; of Jedaiah, Uzzi;
20 ولسلاي قلاي ولعاموق عابر	20 of Sallai, Kallai; of Amok, Eber;
21 ولحلقيا حشبيا وليدعيا نثنئيل	21 of Hilkiah, Hashabiah; of Jedaiah, Nethanel.
22 وكان اللاويون في ايام الياشيب ويوياداع ويوحانان ويدوع مكتوبين رؤوس آباء والكهنة ايضا في ملك داريوس الفارسي.	22 In the time of Eliashib, Joiada, Johanan and Jaddua, the heads of the families of priests wereregistered in the Book of Chronicles, up to the reign of Darius the Persian.
23 وكان بنو لاوي رؤوس الآباء مكتوبين في سفر اخبار الايام الى ايام يوحانان بن الياشيب.	23 The Levites who were heads of families were registered in the Book of Chronicles up to the time ofJohanan, grandson of Eliashib.
24 ورؤوس اللاويين حشبيا وشربيا ويشوع بن قدميئيل واخوتهم مقابلهم للتسبيح والتحميد حسب وصية داود رجل الله نوبة مقابل نوبة.	24 The heads of the Levites were Hashabiah, Sherebiah, Jeshua, Binnui, Kadmiel, while their brotherswho formed an alternate choir for the hymns of praise and thanksgiving, as David, man of God, had prescribed,section corresponding to section,
25 وكان متنيا وبقبقيا وعوبديا ومشلام وطلمون وعقوب بوابين حارسين الحراسة عند مخازن الابواب.	25 were Mattaniah, Bakbukiah and Obadiah. Meshul am, Talmon and Akkub were the gatekeepersguarding the stores at the gates.
26 كان هؤلاء في ايام يوياقيم بن يشوع بن يوصاداق وفي ايام نحميا الوالي وعزرا الكاهن الكاتب	26 These lived in the days of Joiakim son of Jeshua, son of Jozadak, and in the days of Nehemiah thegovernor and of Ezra the priest-scribe.
27 وعند تدشين سور اورشليم طلبوا اللاويين من جميع اماكنهم لياتوا بهم الى اورشليم لكي يدشنوا بفرح وبحمد وغناء بالصنوج والرباب والعيدان.	27 At the dedication of the wal of Jerusalem the Levites were sent for, wherever they lived, to come toJerusalem and joyful y perform the dedication with hymns of thanksgiving and songs to the accompaniment ofcymbals, lyres and harps.
28 فاجتمع بنو المغنين من الدائرة حول اورشليم ومن ضياع النطوفاتي	28 Accordingly, the levitical singers assembled from the district round Jerusalem, from the vil ages ofthe Netophathites,
29 ومن بيت الجلجال ومن حقول جبع وعزموت لان المغنين بنوا لانفسهم ضياعا حول اورشليم.	29 from Beth-Gilgal and from their farms at Geba and Azmaveth -- for the singers had built themselvesvil ages al round Jerusalem.
30 وتطهر الكهنة واللاويون وطهروا الشعب والابواب والسور.	30 When the priests and Levites had purified themselves, they then purified the people, the gates andthe wal .
31 واصعدت رؤساء يهوذا على السور واقمت فرقتين عظيمتين من الحمادين ووكبت الواحدة يمينا على السور نحو باب الدمن	31 I then made the leaders of Judah come on to the top of the wall and appointed two large choirs. Onemade its way along the top of the wal , to the right, towards the Dung Gate;
32 وسار وراءهم هوشعيا ونصف رؤساء يهوذا	32 bringing up the rear were Hoshaiah and half the leaders of Judah,
33 وعزريا وعزرا ومشلام	33 and also Azariah, Ezra, Meshullam,
34 ويهوذا وبنيامين وشمعيا ويرميا	34 Judah, Benjamin, Shemaiah and Jeremiah,
35 ومن بني الكهنة بالابواق زكريا بن يوناثان بن شمعيا بن متنيا بن ميخايا بن زكور بن آساف	35 of the priests, with trumpets; then Zechariah son of Jonathan, son of Shemaiah, son of Mattaniah,son of Micaiah, son of Zaccur, son of Asaph,
36 واخوته شمعيا وعزرئيل ومللاي وجللاي وماعاي ونثنئيل ويهوذا وحناني بآلات غناء داود رجل الله وعزرا الكاتب امامهم.	36 with his kinsmen, Shemaiah, Azarel, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Nethanel, Juda, Hanani, with the musicalinstruments of David, man of God. The scribe Ezra walked at their head.
37 وعند باب العين الذي مقابلهم صعدوا على درج مدينة داود عند مصعد السور فوق بيت داود الى باب الماء شرقا.	37 At the Fountain Gate they went straight on up the steps of the City of David, along the top of therampart by the stairway of the wal , above the Palace of David as far as the Water Gate, on the east.
38 والفرقة الثانية من الحمّادين وكبت مقابلهم وانا وراءها ونصف الشعب على السور من عند برج التنانير الى السور العريض	38 The other choir made its way to the left; I and half the leaders of the people fol owed them along thetop of the wal from the Tower of the Furnaces to the Broad Wall,
39 ومن فوق باب افرايم وفوق الباب العتيق وفوق باب السمك وبرج حننئيل وبرج المئة الى باب الضأن ووقفوا في باب السجن.	39 from the Ephraim Gate, the Fish Gate, the Tower of Hananel and the Tower of the Hundred as far asthe Sheep Gate, and they came to a halt at the Prison Gate.
40 فوقف الفرقتان من الحمادين في بيت الله وانا ونصف الولاة معي	40 The two choirs then took their places in the Temple of God. But I had half the magistrates with me
41 والكهنة الياقيم ومعسيا ومنيامين وميخايا واليوعيناي وزكريا وحننيا بالابواق	41 as wel as the priests, Eliakim, Maaseiah, Miniamin, Micaiah, Elioenai, Zechariah, Hananiah with thetrumpets,
42 ومعسيا وشمعيا والعازار وعزي ويهوحانان وملكيا وعيلام وعازر وغنّى المغنون ويزرحيا الوكيل.	42 and Maaseiah, Shemaiah, Eleazar, Uzzi, Jehohanan, Malchijah, Elam and Ezer. The singers sangloudly under the direction of Jezrahiah.
43 وذبحوا في ذلك اليوم ذبائح عظيمة وفرحوا لان الله افرحهم فرحا عظيما وفرح الاولاد والنساء ايضا وسمع فرح اورشليم عن بعد	43 There were great sacrifices offered that day and the people rejoiced, God having given them goodcause for rejoicing; the women and children rejoiced too, and the joy of Jerusalem could be heard from far away.
44 وتوكل في ذلك اليوم اناس على المخادع للخزائن والرفائع والاوائل الاعشار ليجمعوا فيها من حقول المدن انصبة الشريعة للكهنة واللاويين لان يهوذا فرح بالكهنة واللاويين الواقفين	44 For the rooms intended for the treasures, contributions, first-fruits and tithes, supervisors were thenappointed whose business it was to col ect in them those portions from the town lands awarded by the Law tothe priests and Levites. For Judah rejoiced in the officiating priests and Levites,
45 حارسين حراسة الههم وحراسة التطهير وكان المغنون والبوابون حسب وصية داود وسليمان ابنه.	45 since they -- with the singers and gatekeepers -- performed the liturgy of their God and the rites of purification as ordained by David and his son Solomon.
46 لانه في ايام داود وآساف منذ القديم كان رؤوس مغنين وغناء تسبيح وتحميد لله.	46 For from ancient times, from the days of David and Asaph, they had been the leaders in renderinghymns of praise and thanksgiving to God.
47 وكان كل اسرائيل في ايام زربابل وايام نحميا يؤدون انصبة المغنين والبوابين امر كل يوم في يومه وكانوا يقدسون للاويين وكان اللاويون يقدسون لبني هرون	47 In the days of Zerubbabel and Nehemiah, al Israel supplied regular daily portions for the singers andgatekeepers, and gave the dedicated contributions to the Levites; and the Levites gave the dedicatedcontributions to the Aaronites.
