2 O Lord, our Lord, how admirable is your name throughout all the earth! For your magnificence is elevated above the heavens.	2 Herr, unser Herrscher, wie gewaltig ist dein Name auf der ganzen Erde; über den Himmel breitest du deine Hoheit aus.
3 Out of the mouths of babes and infants, you have perfected praise, because of your enemies, so that you may destroy the enemy and the revenger.	3 Aus dem Mund der Kinder und Säuglinge schaffst du dir Lob, deinen Gegnern zum Trotz; deine Feinde und Widersacher müssen verstummen.
4 For I will behold your heavens, the works of your fingers: the moon and the stars, which you have founded.	4 Seh ich den Himmel, das Werk deiner Finger, Mond und Sterne, die du befestigt:
5 What is man, that you are mindful of him, or the son of man, that you visit him?	5 Was ist der Mensch, dass du an ihn denkst, des Menschen Kind, dass du dich seiner annimmst?
6 You reduced him to a little less than the Angels; you have crowned him with glory and honor,	6 Du hast ihn nur wenig geringer gemacht als Gott, hast ihn mit Herrlichkeit und Ehre gekrönt.
7 and you have set him over the works of your hands.	7 Du hast ihn als Herrscher eingesetzt über das Werk deiner Hände, hast ihm alles zu Füßen gelegt:
8 You have subjected all things under his feet, all sheep and oxen, and in addition: the beasts of the field,	8 All die Schafe, Ziegen und Rinder und auch die wilden Tiere,
9 the birds of the air, and the fish of the sea, which pass through the paths of the sea.	9 die Vögel des Himmels und die Fische im Meer, alles, was auf den Pfaden der Meere dahinzieht.
10 O Lord, our Lord, how admirable is your name throughout all the earth!	10 Herr, unser Herrscher, wie gewaltig ist dein Name auf der ganzen Erde!
