1 Unto the end. For those who will be changed. The testimony of Asaph. A Psalm.	1 (Per la fune. Per quelli che saranno cangiati. Testiìnonianza di Asaf. Salmo).
2 The One who reigns over Israel: Be attentive. For you lead Joseph like a sheep. The One who sits upon the cherubim: Shine forth	2 O Pastore d'Israele, ascolta! Tu, che guidi come una pecorella Giuseppe, che t'assidi sopra i cherubini, mostrati
3 in the presence of Ephraim, Benjamin, and Manasseh. Awaken your power and draw near, so as to accomplish our salvation.	3 Davanti a Efraim, Beniamino e Manasse. Ridesta la tua potenza, e vieni a salvarci.
4 Convert us, O God. And reveal your face, and we will be saved.	4 O Dio, rialzaci, mostraci la tua faccia, o saremo salvi.
5 O Lord, God of hosts, how long will you be angry over the prayer of your servant?	5 Signore Dio degli eserciti, fino a quando rimarrai sdegnato davanti alle preghiere del tuo servo?
6 How long will you feed us the bread of tears, and give us to drink a full measure of tears?	6 E ci nutrirai a pane di lacrime, ci abbevererai largamente di pianto?
7 You have set us as a contradiction to our neighbors. And our enemies have ridiculed us.	7 Ci hai ridotti a oggetto di contesa per i nostri vicini, e i nostri nemici ci hanno sbeffeggiati.
8 O God of hosts, convert us. And reveal your face, and we will be saved.	8 O Dio degli eserciti, rialzaci, mostraci la tua faccia, e saremo salvi.
9 You have transferred a vineyard from Egypt. You have cast out the Gentiles, and planted it.	9 Tu dall'Egitto trasportasti una vigna, cacciasti le nazioni e la piantasti.
10 You were the leader of the journey in its sight. You planted its roots, and it filled the earth.	10 Andasti davanti a lei come guida nel viaggio, facesti barbicar le sue radici, e riempì la terra.
11 Its shadow covered the hills, and its branches covered the cedars of God.	11 L'ombra di lei coprì le montagne ed i suoi rami i cedri di Dio.
12 It extended its new branches even to the sea, and its new seedlings even to the river.	12 Distese fino al mare i suoi tralci le sue propaggini fino al fiume.
13 So then, why have you destroyed its walls, so that all those who pass by the way gather its grapes?	13 Perchè hai fatto distruggere i suoi muri, sicché la vendemmiano tutti quelli che passan per la strada?
14 The wild boar of the forest has trampled it, and a single wild beast has laid waste to it.	14 Il cinghiale della selva l'ha devastata, la belva solitaria ci ha fatto il suo pasto.
15 Turn back, O God of hosts. Look down from heaven, and see, and visit this vineyard;	15 O Dio degli eserciti, volgiti, guarda dal cielo e mira, e vieni a visitare questa vigna.
16 and complete what your right hand has planted, and look upon the son of man, whom you have confirmed for yourself.	16 Rimetti in buono stato quel che la tua destra ha piantato, il figlio dell'uomo che ti sei reso forte.
17 Whatever has been set on fire and dug under will perish at the rebuke of your countenance.	17 Essa è arsa dal fuoco e sradicata: dinanzi alla minaccia del tuo volto periscano.
18 Let your hand be over the man on your right, and over the son of man, whom you have confirmed for yourself.	18 Sia la tua mano sopra l'uomo della tua destra e sopra il figlio dell'uomo che fi sei reso forte.
19 For we do not depart from you, and you will revive us. And we will invoke your name.	19 Noì non ci allontaneremo da te, tu ci darai nuova vita, e invocheremo il tuo nome.
20 O Lord, God of hosts, convert us. And reveal your face, and we will be saved.	20 O Signore Dio degli eserciti, rialzaci, mostraci la tua faccia, e saremo salvi.
