1 Moses then gave the Israelites these instructions, just as the LORD had ordered him.	1 Mosè riferì ai figli d'Israele tutto quello che il Signore gli aveva ordinato.
2 Moses said to the heads of the Israelite tribes, "This is what the LORD has commanded:	2 Mosè disse ai capi tribù dei figli d'Israele: "Questo è quanto il Signore ha ordinato:
3 When a man makes a vow to the LORD or binds himself under oath to a pledge of abstinence, he shall not violate his word, but must fulfill exactly the promise he has uttered.	3 se un uomo fa un voto al Signore o si lega con un giuramento, non violi la sua parola: faccia secondo tutto quello che è uscito dalla sua bocca.
4 "When a woman, while still a maiden in her father's house, makes a vow to the LORD, or binds herself to a pledge,	4 Se una donna fa un voto al Signore e si lega nella sua casa paterna, nella sua adolescenza,
5 if her father learns of her vow or the pledge to which she bound herself and says nothing to her about it, then any vow or any pledge she has made remains valid.	5 e se suo padre sente del suo voto e del legame che si è preso e tace con lei, tutti i suoi voti hanno valore e valgono tutti i legami che si è presa.
6 But if on the day he learns of it her father expresses to her his disapproval, then any vow or any pledge she has made becomes null and void; and the LORD releases her from it, since her father has expressed to her his disapproval.	6 Ma se suo padre glielo proibisse il giorno in cui sente di tutti i suoi voti e dei legami che si è presa, essi non sono validi: il Signore le perdonerà, perché suo padre glielo ha proibito.
7 "If she marries while under a vow or under a rash pledge to which she bound herself,	7 Se la donna apparterrà a un uomo, e ha su di sé i voti o si è legata a una promessa sconsiderata delle proprie labbra,
8 and her husband learns of it, yet says nothing to her that day about it, then the vow or pledge she had made remains valid.	8 e suo marito sente, ma nel giorno in cui sente tace con lei, i suoi voti hanno valore, e validi sono i legami che si è presa.
9 But if on the day he learns of it her husband expresses to her his disapproval, he thereby annuls the vow she had made or the rash pledge to which she had bound herself, and the LORD releases her from it.	9 Ma se nel giorno in cui suo marito sente glielo vieta, rompe il proprio voto e la promessa sconsiderata delle proprie labbra a cui è legata: il Signore le perdonerà.
10 The vow of a widow or of a divorced woman, or any pledge to which such a woman binds herself, is valid.	10 Il voto di una vedova o di una ripudiata, tutto quello a cui è legata, ha valore per lei.
11 "If it is in her husband's house that she makes a vow or binds herself under oath to a pledge,	11 Se è nella casa di suo marito che ha fatto il voto o si è legata con giuramento,
12 and her husband learns of it yet says nothing to express to her his disapproval, then any vow or any pledge she has made remains valid.	12 e suo marito sente e tace con lei, non glielo vieta, tutti i suoi voti hanno valore, e validi sono tutti i legami che si è presa.
13 But if on the day he learns of them her husband annuls them, then whatever she has expressly promised in her vow or in her pledge becomes null and void; since her husband has annulled them, the LORD releases her from them.	13 Ma se suo marito li rompe, nel giorno in cui sente tutto quello che le sue labbra hanno pronunziato, niente è valido dei suoi voti e dei suoi legami: suo marito li ha rotti e il Signore le perdonerà.
14 "Any vow or any pledge that she makes under oath to mortify herself, her husband can either allow to remain valid or render null and void.	14 Il marito rende valido e il marito rompe ogni voto e ogni giuramento per il quale essa si sia obbligata a mortificarsi.
15 But if her husband, day after day, says nothing at all to her about them, he thereby allows as valid any vow or any pledge she has made; he has allowed them to remain valid, because on the day he learned of them he said nothing to her about them.	15 Ma se il marito, giorno dopo giorno, non dice nulla, rende validi tutti i voti e tutti i legami che ha su di sé: li rende validi perché ha taciuto con lei il giorno in cui l'ha sentito.
16 If, however, he countermands them some time after he first learned of them, he is responsible for her guilt."	16 Ma se li ha rotti dopo che ha sentito, porterà la colpa di lei".
17 These are the statutes which the LORD prescribed through Moses concerning the relationship between a husband and his wife, as well as between a father and his daughter while she is still a maiden in her father's house.	17 Queste sono le prescrizioni che il Signore diede a Mosè riguardo al marito e alla moglie, al padre e alla figlia nell'adolescenza di lei, quando è ancora nella casa paterna.
