1 Moses then gave the Israelites these instructions, just as the LORD had ordered him.	1 Parlo Moisè ai figliuoli d'Israel ogni cosa che Iddio gli avea detto.
2 Moses said to the heads of the Israelite tribes, "This is what the LORD has commanded:	2 E parlò ai principi delle tribù de' figliuoli d'Israel, e disse loro: queste parole mi disse Iddio.
3 When a man makes a vow to the LORD or binds himself under oath to a pledge of abstinence, he shall not violate his word, but must fulfill exactly the promise he has uttered.	3 Se alcuno uomo prometterà a Dio per voto, o per giuramento si constrignerà, non ritorni adietro le sue parole; ma ciò che promette sì adempia, (e tragga ad effetto).
4 "When a woman, while still a maiden in her father's house, makes a vow to the LORD, or binds herself to a pledge,	4 La femina che si voterà, o prometterà a Dio alcuna cosa per giuramento, se ella è in casa del padre, e sia ancor giovane; se il padre cognoscerà il voto lo quale hae fatto, e il giuramento per lo qual obbligò l'anima sua, e tacerà, è obbligata al voto.
5 if her father learns of her vow or the pledge to which she bound herself and says nothing to her about it, then any vow or any pledge she has made remains valid.	5 E imperò ciò che promettè renda a Dio. (Se tanto è ch' ella lo faccia senza volontà del padre),
6 But if on the day he learns of it her father expresses to her his disapproval, then any vow or any pledge she has made becomes null and void; and the LORD releases her from it, since her father has expressed to her his disapproval.	6 e udendola il padre, le contradica (in quello dì che ella fa il suo voto), lo voto e il giuramento è nulla; nè sarà obbligata al voto, però che il padre le ha contradetto.
7 "If she marries while under a vow or under a rash pledge to which she bound herself,	7 Se ella hae marito, e farà alcuno voto, e una fiata uscirà la parola della sua bocca, per la qual lei obblighi l'anima sua (o per voto o) per giuramento,
8 and her husband learns of it, yet says nothing to her that day about it, then the vow or pledge she had made remains valid.	8 nel qual dì lo marito l'udirà, e non le con traddirà, sarà obbligata al voto, e osserverà quello che ha promesso.
9 But if on the day he learns of it her husband expresses to her his disapproval, he thereby annuls the vow she had made or the rash pledge to which she had bound herself, and the LORD releases her from it.	9 Ma se udendo, subito egli il contraddice, non sarà tenuta alla promessione, perciò che il marito l'hae contraddetto; e tutte le sue promissioni, per le quali avea astretta l'anima sua, saranno per nulla; ma Iddio le sarà in aiuto.
10 The vow of a widow or of a divorced woman, or any pledge to which such a woman binds herself, is valid.	10 La donna vedova, e quella che è licenziata dal marito suo, tutto quello al qual per voto si obbligheranno saranno obbligate ad osservare.
11 "If it is in her husband's house that she makes a vow or binds herself under oath to a pledge,	11 Se la donna farae voto o giuramento in casa del marito,
12 and her husband learns of it yet says nothing to express to her his disapproval, then any vow or any pledge she has made remains valid.	12 se il marito udirà e tacerà, e non contrad dirà alla promissione, sarà obbligata a quello ch' ella prometterà di fare.
13 But if on the day he learns of them her husband annuls them, then whatever she has expressly promised in her vow or in her pledge becomes null and void; since her husband has annulled them, the LORD releases her from them.	13 Ma se subito le contraddirà, non sarà obbligata alla promissione, però che il marito ha contraddetto; e lo Signore le sarà propizio.
14 "Any vow or any pledge that she makes under oath to mortify herself, her husband can either allow to remain valid or render null and void.	14 Se la donna farà voto, e per giuramento prometterà di affliger l'anima sua o per digiuno o per astinenza di alcune cose, sarà in libertà del marito, che lei lo facci o non facci.
15 But if her husband, day after day, says nothing at all to her about them, he thereby allows as valid any vow or any pledge she has made; he has allowed them to remain valid, because on the day he learned of them he said nothing to her about them.	15 La qual cosa se lo marito l'udirà e tacerà, e aspetta un altro dì a parlare, tutto quello che ha promesso e votato osservi; però che subito che lo marito udì, istette cheto.
16 If, however, he countermands them some time after he first learned of them, he is responsible for her guilt."	16 Ma se lui contraddirà, dopo che l'avrà ri saputo, lui porterà la sua iniquità.
17 These are the statutes which the LORD prescribed through Moses concerning the relationship between a husband and his wife, as well as between a father and his daughter while she is still a maiden in her father's house.	17 Queste sono le leggi, le quali ordinò il Signore a Moisè fra il marito e la moglie, fra il padre e la figliuola, la quale è in etade puerile, ovver che abita in casa del padre e della madre.
