1 Moses then gave the Israelites these instructions, just as the LORD had ordered him.	1 Sve kako mu je Jahve naredio Mojsije kaza Izraelcima.
2 Moses said to the heads of the Israelite tribes, "This is what the LORD has commanded:	2 Zatim reče Mojsije glavarima plemena Izraelovih: »Ovo je Jahve naredio:
3 When a man makes a vow to the LORD or binds himself under oath to a pledge of abstinence, he shall not violate his word, but must fulfill exactly the promise he has uttered.	3 Ako koji čovjek učini zavjet ili se uz zakletvu obveže da će se nečega odreći, neka ne krši svoje riječi; neka izvrši sve što iz njegovih usta izađe!
4 "When a woman, while still a maiden in her father's house, makes a vow to the LORD, or binds herself to a pledge,	4 Ako koja žena učini Jahvi zavjet ili se obveže da će se nečega odreći dok je još mlada, u očevu domu,
5 if her father learns of her vow or the pledge to which she bound herself and says nothing to her about it, then any vow or any pledge she has made remains valid.	5 a otac joj sazna za zavjet i obećanje kojim se obvezala pa joj ništa ne rekne, tada su valjani svi njezini zavjeti i valjano je svako obećanje kojim se obvezala.
6 But if on the day he learns of it her father expresses to her his disapproval, then any vow or any pledge she has made becomes null and void; and the LORD releases her from it, since her father has expressed to her his disapproval.	6 Ali ako joj se otac usprotivi kad sazna, nikakav njezin zavjet ni njezino obećanje kojim se vezala ne vrijedi. Jahve će joj oprostiti jer joj se otac usprotivio.
7 "If she marries while under a vow or under a rash pledge to which she bound herself,	7 Ako se uda dok je pod svojim zavjetima ili pod obećanjem koje je nepromišljeno izišlo iz njezinih usta,
8 and her husband learns of it, yet says nothing to her that day about it, then the vow or pledge she had made remains valid.	8 pa njezin muž sazna i pošto je saznao ništa joj ne rekne, tada vrijede njezini zavjeti i vrijede obećanja kojima se obvezala.
9 But if on the day he learns of it her husband expresses to her his disapproval, he thereby annuls the vow she had made or the rash pledge to which she had bound herself, and the LORD releases her from it.	9 No ako se njezin muž usprotivi kad o tom sazna, ukida se time njezin zavjet i obećanje što je nepromišljeno izišlo iz njezinih usta. I Jahve će joj oprostiti.
10 The vow of a widow or of a divorced woman, or any pledge to which such a woman binds herself, is valid.	10 A zavjet udovice ili žene otpuštene i sve obveze koje je na se preuzela vrijede za nju.
11 "If it is in her husband's house that she makes a vow or binds herself under oath to a pledge,	11 Ako se zavjetuje ili se obveže zakletvom na obećanje dok je u kući svoga muža,
12 and her husband learns of it yet says nothing to express to her his disapproval, then any vow or any pledge she has made remains valid.	12 pa njezin muž sazna i ništa joj ne rekne, ne usprotivi joj se, svaki je njezin zavjet valjan i valjano je svako obećanje kojim se obvezala.
13 But if on the day he learns of them her husband annuls them, then whatever she has expressly promised in her vow or in her pledge becomes null and void; since her husband has annulled them, the LORD releases her from them.	13 Ali ako ih njezin muž proglasi ništetnim kad o njima sazna, tada ništa što je izišlo iz njezinih usta, njezini zavjeti ili preuzete obveze neće vrijediti. Muž ih je njezin poništio, i Jahve će joj oprostiti.
14 "Any vow or any pledge that she makes under oath to mortify herself, her husband can either allow to remain valid or render null and void.	14 Svaki zavjet i svaku zakletvu koja obvezuje ženu na neko mrtvenje njezin muž može uzdržati na snazi ili poništiti.
15 But if her husband, day after day, says nothing at all to her about them, he thereby allows as valid any vow or any pledge she has made; he has allowed them to remain valid, because on the day he learned of them he said nothing to her about them.	15 Ako joj muž od dana do dana ništa ne rekne, time potvrđuje sve njezine zavjete i sva njezina obećanja kojima se obvezala; on ih je učinio valjanima ako ništa nije rekao kad je o njima čuo.
16 If, however, he countermands them some time after he first learned of them, he is responsible for her guilt."	16 Ali ako ih poništi kasnije, pošto je o njima već čuo, neka snosi njezinu krivnju.«
17 These are the statutes which the LORD prescribed through Moses concerning the relationship between a husband and his wife, as well as between a father and his daughter while she is still a maiden in her father's house.	17 To su uredbe koje je Jahve Mojsiju izdao za muža i njegovu ženu i za oca i njegovu kćer, koja, još mlada, živi u kući očevoj.
