Isaiah (ישעיה) - Isaia 94

1 אל נקמות יהוה אל נקמות הופיע	1 God of vengeance, Yahweh, God of vengeance, shine forth!
2 הנשא שפט הארץ השב גמול על גאים	2 Arise, judge of the world, give back the proud what they deserve!
3 עד מתי רשעים יהוה עד מתי רשעים יעלזו	3 How long are the wicked, Yahweh, how long are the wicked to triumph?
4 יביעו ידברו עתק יתאמרו כל פעלי און	4 They bluster and boast, they flaunt themselves, all the evil-doers.
5 עמך יהוה ידכאו ונחלתך יענו	5 They crush your people, Yahweh, they oppress your heritage,
6 אלמנה וגר יהרגו ויתומים ירצחו	6 they murder the widow and the stranger, bring the orphan to a violent death.
7 ויאמרו לא יראה יה ולא יבין אלהי יעקב	7 They say, 'Yahweh is not looking, the God of Jacob is taking no notice.'
8 בינו בערים בעם וכסילים מתי תשכילו	8 Take notice yourselves, you coarsest of people! Fools, when wil you learn some sense?
9 הנטע אזן הלא ישמע אם יצר עין הלא יביט	9 Shal he who implanted the ear not hear, he who fashioned the eye not see?
10 היסר גוים הלא יוכיח המלמד אדם דעת	10 Shal he who instructs nations not punish? Yahweh, the teacher of al people,
11 יהוה ידע מחשבות אדם כי המה הבל	11 knows human plans and how insipid they are.
12 אשרי הגבר אשר תיסרנו יה ומתורתך תלמדנו	12 How blessed are those you instruct, Yahweh, whom you teach by means of your law,
13 להשקיט לו מימי רע עד יכרה לרשע שחת	13 to give them respite in evil times, til a pit is dug for the wicked.
14 כי לא יטש יהוה עמו ונחלתו לא יעזב	14 Yahweh will not abandon his people, he wil not desert his heritage;
15 כי עד צדק ישוב משפט ואחריו כל ישרי לב	15 for judgement will again become saving justice, and in its wake al upright hearts will fol ow.
16 מי יקום לי עם מרעים מי יתיצב לי עם פעלי און	16 Who rises up on my side against the wicked? Who stands firm on my side against al evil-doers?
17 לולי יהוה עזרתה לי כמעט שכנה דומה נפשי	17 If Yahweh did not come to my help, I should soon find myself dwel ing in the silence.
18 אם אמרתי מטה רגלי חסדך יהוה יסעדני	18 I need only say, 'I am slipping,' for your faithful love, Yahweh, to support me;
19 ברב שרעפי בקרבי תנחומיך ישעשעו נפשי	19 however great the anxiety of my heart, your consolations soothe me.
20 היחברך כסא הוות יצר עמל עלי חק	20 Are you partner to a destructive court, that gives disorder the status of law?
21 יגודו על נפש צדיק ודם נקי ירשיעו	21 They make an attack on the life of the upright, and condemn innocent blood.
22 ויהי יהוה לי למשגב ואלהי לצור מחסי	22 No! Yahweh is a stronghold to me, my God is my rock of refuge.
23 וישב עליהם את אונם וברעתם יצמיתם יצמיתם יהוה אלהינו	23 He turns back their guilt on themselves, annihilates them for their wickedness, he annihilates them,Yahweh our God.
