1 E mi volsi, e alzai gli occhi, e vidi apparire quattro cocchi dalla gola di due montagne: e le montagne (eran) montagne di bronzo.	1 Again I raised my eyes and saw four chariots coming out from between two mountains; and the mountains were of bronze.
2 Al primo cocchio cavalli rossi, al secondo cocchio cavalli neri.	2 The first chariot had red horses, the second chariot black horses,
3 E al terzo cocchio cavalli bianchi, e al quarto cocchio cavalli pezzati, e vigorosi.	3 the third chariot white horses, and the fourth chariot spotted horses--all of them strong horses.
4 E io dissi all'Angelo, che parlava in me: Che cose son queste, Signor mio?	4 I asked the angel who spoke with me, "What are these, my lord?"
5 E l'Angelo rispose, e dissemi: Questi sono i quattro venti del cielo, che vengon fuora per presentarsi dinanzi al Dominatore di tutta la terra.	5 The angel said to me in reply, "These are the four winds of the heavens, which are coming forth after being reviewed by the LORD of all the earth."
6 Quello, che avea i cavalli neri, si movea verso la terra di settentrione, e i cavalli bianchi gli andaron dietro; e i pezzati andaron verso il paese di mezzodì.	6 The chariot with the black horses was turning toward the land of the north, the red and the white horses went after them, and the spotted ones went toward the land of the south.
7 E questi, che erano fortissimi, usciti che furono, bramavan di scorrere tutta la terra. É quegli disse: Andate, scorrete la terra; e quegli scorser la terra.	7 As these strong horses emerged, eager to set about patrolling the earth, he said, "Go, patrol the earth!" Then, as they patrolled the earth,
8 E quegli mi chiamò, e mi parlò, e disse: Ecco che quelli, i quali vanno nella terra di settentrione, hanno fatto, che si posasse il mio spirito nella terra di settentrione.	8 he called out to me and said, "See, they that go forth to the land of the north will make my spirit rest in the land of the north."
9 E il Signore parlò a me; e disse:	9 This word of the LORD then came to me:
10 Prendi i doni di quelli della trasmigrazione, da Holdai, e da Tobia, e da Idaia venuti da Babilonia, e anderai il tal giorno, ed entrerai nella casa di Josia figliuolo di Sofonia.	10 Take from the returned captives Heldai, Tobijah, Jedaiah; and go the same day to the house of Josiah, son of Zephaniah (these had come from Babylon).
11 E prenderai l'oro, e l'argento, e ne farai corone da mettere sulla testa di Gesù figliuolo di Josedec sommo Sacerdote.	11 Silver and gold you shall take, and make a crown; place it on the head of (Joshua, son of Jehozadak, the high priest) Zerubbabel.
12 E parlerai a lui, egli dirai: Queste cose dice il Signore degli eserciti: Ecco l'uomo, il cui nome è l'Oriente, ed ei germinerà da se stesso, ed egli edificherà il tempio al Signore.	12 And say to him: Thus says the LORD of hosts: Here is a man whose name is Shoot, and where he is he shall sprout, and he shall build the temple of the LORD.
13 Egli edificherà il tempio al Signore, ed egli sarà ammantato di gloria, e siederà, e regnerà sul suo trono, e il sacerdote si starà sul suo trono, e sarà tra questi due unione di pace.	13 Yes, he shall build the temple of the LORD, and taking up the royal insignia, he shall sit as ruler upon his throne. The priest shall be put at his right hand, and between the two of them there shall be friendly understanding.
14 E le corone saranno un monumento per Helem, e Tobia, e Idaia, ed Hem figliuolo di Sofonia nel tempio del Signore.	14 The crown itself shall be a memorial offering in the temple of the LORD in favor of Heldai, Tobijah, Jedaiah, and the son of Zephaniah.
15 E i più lontani verranno, e lavoreranno attorno al tempio del Signore; e voi conoscerete, che il Signore degli eserciti mi ha mandato a voi. Or questo avverrà, se voi ascolterete con docilità la voce del Signore Dio vostro.	15 And they who are from afar shall come and build the temple of the LORD, and you shall know that the LORD of hosts has sent me to you. And if you heed carefully the voice of the LORD your God. . . .
