KÁLDI-NEOVULGÁTA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Ekkor láttam, hogy egy angyal száll le az égből, akinél a mélység kulcsa volt, és kezében egy nagy lánc.	1 Then I saw an angel come down from heaven with the key of the Abyss in his hand and an enormouschain.
2 Megragadta a sárkányt, az őskígyót, aki az ördög és a sátán , és megkötözte őt ezer esztendőre.	2 He overpowered the dragon, that primeval serpent which is the devil and Satan, and chained him upfor a thousand years.
3 Levetette őt a mélységbe, bezárta, és pecsétet tett rá, hogy ne csábítsa el többé a nemzeteket, amíg el nem múlik az ezer esztendő. Azután el kell oldozni, de csak rövid időre.	3 He hurled him into the Abyss and shut the entrance and sealed it over him, to make sure he would notlead the nations astray again until the thousand years had passed. At the end of that time he must be released,but only for a short while.
4 Majd székeket láttam, és a rajta ülőket , akik ítélő hatalmat kaptak, és láttam azok lelkeit, akiknek fejét vették a Jézusról való tanúságtétel és Isten igéje miatt, és akik nem imádták a fenevadat, sem annak képmását, sem bélyegét nem vették homlokukra és kezükre, és éltek és uralkodtak Krisztussal ezer esztendeig.	4 Then I saw thrones, where they took their seats, and on them was conferred the power to givejudgement. I saw the souls of al who had been beheaded for having witnessed for Jesus and for havingpreached God's word, and those who refused to worship the beast or his statue and would not accept the brand-mark on their foreheads or hands; they came to life, and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.
5 A többi halott nem éled föl, amíg el nem telik az ezer esztendő. Ez az első feltámadás.	5 The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were over; this is the firstresurrection.
6 Boldog és szent az, akinek része van az első feltámadásban! Ezeken nincs hatalma a második halálnak, hanem Isten és Krisztus papjai lesznek, és uralkodnak vele ezer esztendeig.	6 Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection; the second death has no power overthem but they wil be priests of God and of Christ and reign with him for a thousand years.
7 Amikor majd eltelik az ezer esztendő, eloldozzák börtönében a sátánt.	7 When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from his prison
8 Kijön, és elcsábítja a föld négy szegletén lakó nemzeteket, Gógot és Magógot, egybegyűjti őket a harcra; a számuk annyi, mint a tenger fövenye.	8 and wil come out to lead astray all the nations in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, andmobilise them for war, his armies being as many as the sands of the sea.
9 Felvonulnak a föld minden táján , és bekerítik a szentek táborát és a szeretett várost. De tűz szállt le Istentől az égből, és megemésztette őket .	9 They came swarming over the entire country and besieged the camp of the saints, which is thebeloved City. But fire rained down on them from heaven and consumed them.
10 És az ördögöt, aki elcsábította őket, a tüzes és kénköves tóba vetik, ahol a fenevad és az álpróféta is van, és gyötrődnek éjjel-nappal örökkön örökké.	10 Then the devil, who led them astray, was hurled into the lake of fire and sulphur, where the beast andthe false prophet are, and their torture wil not come to an end, day or night, for ever and ever.
11 Aztán láttam egy nagy fehér trónt és a rajta ülőt , akinek tekintetétől menekült a föld és az ég, és nem volt hely számukra .	11 Then I saw a great white throne and the One who was sitting on it. In his presence, earth and skyvanished, leaving no trace.
12 És láttam, hogy a halottak, nagyok és kicsik a trón előtt állnak, és könyveket nyitottak ki. Egy másik könyvet is kinyitottak, amely az élet könyve . A halottakat megítélték azokból, amik tetteiknek megfelelően a könyvbe voltak írva.	12 I saw the dead, great and smal alike, standing in front of his throne while the books lay open. Andanother book was opened, which is the book of life, and the dead were judged from what was written in thebooks, as their deeds deserved.
13 A tenger visszaadta a halottakat, akik benne voltak, és a halál és az alvilág visszaadták a halottakat, akik náluk voltak, és mindegyiket megítélték tettei szerint.	13 The sea gave up all the dead who were in it;
14 A halált és az alvilágot egy tüzes tóba vetették: ez a második halál, a tüzes tó.	14 Death and Hades were emptied of the dead that were in them; and every one was judged as hisdeeds deserved. Then Death and Hades were hurled into the burning lake. This burning lake is the seconddeath;
15 Aki nem volt beírva az élet könyvébe , azt a tüzes tóba vetették.	15 and anybody whose name could not be found written in the book of life was hurled into the burninglake.
