Második levél Timóteusnak 4

KÁLDI-NEOVULGÁTA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Kérve kérlek Isten színe előtt, és Krisztus Jézus előtt, aki ítélni fog élőket és holtakat, az ő eljövetele és uralma által:	1 Before God and before Christ Jesus who is to be judge of the living and the dead, I charge you, in thename of his appearing and of his kingdom:
2 hirdesd az igét, állj elő vele, akár alkalmas, akár alkalmatlan! Feddj, ints, buzdíts minden türelemmel és tudománnyal.	2 proclaim the message and, welcome or unwelcome, insist on it. Refute falsehood, correct error, giveencouragement -- but do all with patience and with care to instruct.
3 Lesz ugyanis idő, amikor az emberek nem viselik el az egészséges tanítást, hanem saját kívánságaik szerint seregszámra szereznek maguknak tanítókat, mert viszket a fülük;	3 The time is sure to come when people wil not accept sound teaching, but their ears wil be itching foranything new and they wil col ect themselves a whole series of teachers according to their own tastes;
4 elfordítják fülüket az igazságtól, és átadják magukat a meséknek.	4 and then they will shut their ears to the truth and wil turn to myths.
5 Te vigyázz mindenre, viseld el a szenvedéseket, végezd az evangélista dolgát, töltsd be szolgálatodat.	5 But you must keep steady al the time; put up with suffering; do the work of preaching the gospel; fulfilthe service asked of you.
6 Engem ugyanis már kiöntenek, mint italáldozatot, elköltözésem ideje közel van.	6 As for me, my life is already being poured away as a libation, and the time has come for me to depart.
7 A jó harcot megharcoltam, a pályát végigfutottam, a hitet megtartottam.	7 I have fought the good fight to the end; I have run the race to the finish; I have kept the faith;
8 Készen vár már rám az igazságosság koszorúja, amelyet azon a napon megad nekem az Úr, az igazságos bíró, sőt nemcsak nekem, hanem mindazoknak, akik sóvárogva várják az ő eljövetelét.	8 al there is to come for me now is the crown of uprightness which the Lord, the upright judge, wil give tome on that Day; and not only to me but to al those who have longed for his appearing.
9 Siess, jöjj hozzám mielőbb!	9 Make every effort to come and see me as soon as you can.
10 Démász ugyanis elhagyott a világ szeretete miatt, és elment Tesszalonikibe, Kreszcensz Galáciába, Títusz pedig Dalmáciába.	10 As it is, Demas has deserted me for love of this life and gone to Thessalonica, Crescens has gone toGalatia and Titus to Dalmatia;
11 Egyedül Lukács van velem. Márkot is vedd magad mellé, és hozd el: jó hasznát tudom venni a szolgálatban.	11 only Luke is with me. Bring Mark with you; I find him a useful helper in my work.
12 Tichikuszt elküldtem Efezusba.	12 I have sent Tychicus to Ephesus.

15 Te is óvakodj tőle, nagyon ellene szegült ugyanis szavainknak.	15 Be on your guard against him yourself, because he has been bitterly contesting everything that we say.
16 Első védekezésem alkalmával senki sem volt mellettem, mindenki cserbenhagyott – ne tudassék be nekik!	16 The first time I had to present my defence, no one came into court to support me. Every one of themdeserted me -- may they not be held accountable for it.
17 De az Úr mellém állt, és erőt adott nekem, hogy az igehirdetés teljessé legyen általam, s tudomást szerezzen róla az összes nemzet. Így megszabadultam az oroszlán torkából .	17 But the Lord stood by me and gave me power, so that through me the message might be ful yproclaimed for al the gentiles to hear; and so I was saved from the lion's mouth.
18 Az Úr megszabadít minden gonosz ármánytól, és meg fog menteni mennyei országa számára. Dicsőség neki mindörökkön örökké! Ámen!	18 The Lord will rescue me from all evil attempts on me, and bring me safely to his heavenly kingdom. Tohim be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
19 Köszöntsd Priszkát és Akvilát, azonkívül Oneziforosz házát.	19 Greetings to Prisca and Aquila, and the family of Onesiphorus.
