1 A csapás megtörténte után azt mondta az Úr Mózesnek meg Eleazárnak, Áron fiának, a papnak:	1 After this plague, Yahweh spoke to Moses and to the priest Eleazar son of Aaron and said:
2 »Írjátok össze Izrael fiainak egész közösségét, a húszesztendősöktől kezdve felfelé, házuk és nagycsaládjuk szerint mindazokat, akik hadba vonulhatnak.«	2 'Take a census of the whole community of Israelites, by families: al those of twenty years and over, fitto bear arms in Israel.'
3 Meg is mondták ezt Mózes és Eleazár, a pap Moáb mezőségén, a Jordán mellett, Jerikóval átellenben, azoknak, akik	3 So Moses and the priest Eleazar took a census of them on the Plains of Moab, near the Jordan byJericho. They counted

8 Fállu fia Eliáb volt;	8 The sons of Pallu: Eliab.
9 ennek fiai Námuel Dátán és Abiron voltak. Ezek, Dátán és Abiron, voltak a nép azon fejedelmei, akik felkeltek Mózes és Áron ellen Kóré lázadásában, fellázadva az Úr ellen,	9 The sons of Eliab: Nemuel, Dathan and Abiram. These two, Dathan and Abiram, men of repute in thecommunity, were the ones who revolted against Moses and Aaron; they belonged to Korah's group when itrevolted against Yahweh.

14 Ezek voltak Simeon törzsének nemzetségei; számuk összesen huszonkétezer-kétszáz volt.	14 These were the Simeonite clans. They numbered twenty-two thousand two hundred men.

20 Így Júda fiai, nemzetségeik szerint, a következők voltak: Sela, akitől a selaiták nemzetsége, Fáresz, akitől a fáresziták nemzetsége, Szerah, akitől a szerahiták nemzetsége származott.	20 The other sons of Judah became clans: for Shelah, the Shelahite clan; for Perez, the Perezzite clan;for Zerah, the Zerahite clan.
21 Fáresz fiai pedig: Ezron, akitől az ezroniták nemzetsége, s Hámul, akitől a hamuliták nemzetsége származott.	21 The sons of Perez were: for Hezron, the Hezronite clan; for Hamul, the Hamulite clan.
22 Ezek voltak Júda nemzetségei; számuk összesen hetvenhatezer-ötszáz volt.	22 These were the clans of Judah. They numbered seventy-six thousand five hundred men.
23 Isszakár fiai, nemzetségeik szerint: Tóla, akitől a tólaiták nemzetsége, Fúa, akitől a fúaiták nemzetsége,	23 The sons of Issachar by clans: for Tola, the Tolaite clan; for Puvah, the Puvahite clan;

26 Zebulon fiai, nemzetségeik szerint: Száred, akitől a szárediták nemzetsége, Élon, akitől az éloniták nemzetsége, Jálel, akitől a jáleliták nemzetsége származott.	26 The sons of Zebulun by clans: for Sered, the Seredite clan; for Elon, the Elonite clan; for Jahleel, theJahleelite clan.
27 Ezek voltak Zebulon nemzetségei; számuk hatvanezer-ötszáz volt.	27 These were the clans of Zebulun. They numbered sixty thousand five hundred men.
28 József fiai, nemzetségeik szerint: Manassze és Efraim.	28 The sons of Joseph by clans: Manasseh and Ephraim.
29 Manasszétól származott Mákir, ettől a mákiriták nemzetsége. Mákir nemzette Gileádot, ettől származott a gileádiak nemzetsége;	29 The sons of Manasseh: for Machir, the Machirite clan; Machir fathered Gilead: for Gilead, theGileadite clan.
30 Gileád fiai voltak: Jézer, akitől a jézeriták nemzetsége, Helek, akitől a helekiták nemzetsége,	30 These were the sons of Gilead: for Iezer, the Iezerite clan; for Helek, the Helekite clan;

33 Hefer volt az atyja Celofhádnak is; ennek fiai nem voltak, csak lányai, név szerint: Maála, Noa, Hegla, Melka és Tirca.	33 Zelophehad son of Hepher had no sons, only daughters; the names of Zelophehad's daughterswere Mahlah, Noah, Hoglah, Milcah and Tirzah.
34 Ezek voltak Manassze nemzetségei; számuk: ötvenkétezer-hétszáz.	34 These were the clans of Manasseh. They numbered fifty-two thousand seven hundred men.
35 Efraim fiai, nemzetségük szerint a következők voltak: Sutála, akitől a sutálaiták nemzetsége, Beker, akitől a bekeriták nemzetsége, Tehen, akitől a teheniták nemzetsége származott.	35 These were the sons of Ephraim by clans: for Shuthelah, the Shuthelahite clan; for Becher, theBecherite clan; for Tahan, the Tahanite clan.
36 Sutála fia volt továbbá Herán, akitől a herániták nemzetsége származott.	36 These were the sons of Shuthelah: for Eran, the Eranite clan.
37 Ezek voltak Efraim fiainak nemzetségei; számuk harminckétezer-ötszáz volt. Ezek voltak József fiai, nemzetségeik szerint.	37 These were the clans of Ephraim. They numbered thirty-two thousand five hundred men. Thesewere the sons of Joseph by clans.
38 Benjamin fiai, nemzetségeik szerint: Bela, akitől a belaiták nemzetsége, Ásbel, akitől az ásbeliták nemzetsége, Ahirám, akitől az ahirámiták nemzetsége,	38 The sons of Benjamin by clans: for Bela, the Belaite clan; for Ashbel, the Ashbelite clan; for Ahiram,the Ahiramite clan;
39 Sufám, akitől a sufámiták nemzetsége, Hufám, akitől a hufámiták nemzetsége származott.	39 for Shephupham, the Shephuphamite clan; for Hupham, the Huphamite clan.

43 mindnyájan suhámiták voltak, számuk hatvannégyezer-négyszáz volt.	43 All the Shuhamite clans numbered sixty-four thousand four hundred men.
44 Áser fiai, nemzetségeik szerint: Jimna, akitől a jimnaiták nemzetsége, Jessúj, akitől a jessuiták nemzetsége, Brie, akitől a brieiták nemzetsége származott.	44 The sons of Asher by clans: for Imnah, the Imnahite clan; for Ishvi, the Ishvihite clan; for Beriah, theBeriahite clan.
45 Brie fiai voltak: Héber, akitől a héberek nemzetsége és Melkiel, akitől a melkieliták nemzetsége származott.	45 For the sons of Beriah: for Heber, the Heberite clan; for Malchiel, the Malchielite clan.
46 Áser lányának neve pedig Sára volt.	46 The daughter of Asher was called Serah.
47 Ezek voltak Áser fiainak nemzetségei; számuk ötvenháromezer-négyszáz.	47 These were the clans of Asher. They numbered fifty-three thousand four hundred men.
48 Naftali fiai, nemzetségeik szerint: Jesziel, ettől a jeszieliták nemzetsége, Gúni, akitől a gúniták nemzetsége,	48 The sons of Naphtali by clans: for Jahzeel, the Jahzeelite clan; for Guni, the Gunite clan;
49 Jeszer, ettől a jeszeriták nemzetsége, Sellem, akitől a sellemiták nemzetsége származott;	49 for Jezer, the Jezerite clan; for Shil em, the Shil emite clan.
50 ezek voltak Naftali fiainak családjai, nemzetségeik szerint, számuk negyvenötezer-négyszáz.	50 These were the clans of Naphtali as divided into clans. The sons of Naphtali numbered forty-fivethousand four hundred men.
51 Izrael megszámlált fiainak száma összesen a következő volt: hatszázegyezer-hétszázharminc.	51 Of the Israelites thus numbered, there were six hundred and one thousand seven hundred and thirtymen.
52 Így szólt ekkor az Úr Mózeshez:	52 Yahweh then spoke to Moses and said,
53 »Ezek között kell majd elosztani az országot birtokul, a nevek számához képest.	53 'The country must be shared out among these as a heritage, proportionately to the number of thoseinscribed.
54 A nagyobb nemzetségnek nagyobb részt adj, a kisebbnek kisebbet, mindegyiknek a mostani számlálás eredményéhez képest kell adni birtokot,	54 To the large in number you wil give a large area of land, to the smal in number a small area; toeach the heritage wil be in proportion to the number registered.
55 úgy azonban, hogy a sors ossza el a törzsek és a nemzetségek között a földet:	55 The sharing out of the country must, however, be done by lot. Each wil receive a heritageproportionate to the number of names in their patriarchal tribes;
56 amit a sors megszab, azt kapják azok is, akik sokan vannak, azok is, akik kevesen.«	56 the heritage of each tribe wil be shared out by lot, depending on its larger or smal er numbers.'
57 Lévi fiainak jegyzéke, nemzetségeik szerint, a következő volt: Gerson, akitől a gersoniták nemzetsége, Kaát, akitől a kaátiták nemzetsége, Merári, akitől a meráriták nemzetsége származott.	57 These, by clans, are the Levites that were registered: for Gershon, the Gershonite clan; for Kohath,the Kohathite clan; for Merari, the Merarite clan.
58 Lévi nemzetségei a következők voltak: Libni nemzetsége, Hebroni nemzetsége, Moholi nemzetsége, Músi nemzetsége, Kóré nemzetsége. – Kaát pedig nemzette Amrámot;	58 These are the Levite clans: the Libnite clan, the Hebronite clan, the Mahlite clan, the Mushite clan,the Korahite clan. Kohath fathered Amram.
59 ennek felesége Jókebed, Lévi lánya volt, aki Egyiptomban született Lévinek; ő szülte Amrámnak, a férjének Mózest és Áront, a fiúkat és Mirjámot, a nővérüket.	59 Amram's wife was cal ed Jokebed daughter of Levi, born to him in Egypt. To Amram she boreAaron, Moses and Miriam their sister.
60 Árontól származott: Nádáb, Ábiu, Eleazár és Itamár;	60 Aaron fathered Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.
61 ezek közül Nádáb és Ábiu meghalt, amikor idegen tüzet vitt az Úr elé.	61 Nadab and Abihu died when they brought unauthorised fire before Yahweh.
62 Az egyhónapos és annál idősebb férfiak, akiket megszámláltak összesen huszonháromezren voltak; de ezeket nem számlálták Izrael fiai közé, s nekik nem is adtak birtokot a többiek között.	62 Altogether twenty-three thousand males of one month and over were registered. They were notregistered with the Israelites, since they were given no heritage with the Israelites.
63 Ez a jegyzéke Izrael azon fiainak, akiket Mózes és Eleazár, a pap, Moáb mezőségén, a Jordán mellett, Jerikóval átellenben írt össze.	63 Such were the men registered by Moses and the priest Eleazar who took a census of the Israeliteson the Plains of Moab near the Jordan by Jericho.
