10 Báni fiai közül Selomit Joszfia fia és vele százhatvan férfi;	10 of the sons of Bani: Shelomith son of Josiphiah, and with him a hundred and sixty males;
11 Bebáj fiai közül Zakariás, Bebáj fia és vele huszonnyolc férfi;	11 of the sons of Bebai: Zechariah son of Bebai, and with him twenty-eight males;
12 Azgád fiai közül Johanán, Ekketán fia és vele száztíz férfi;	12 of the sons of Azgad: Johanan son of Hakkatan, and with him a hundred and ten males;
13 Adonikám fiai közül a fiatalabbak, név szerint: Elifelet, Jehiél meg Samája és velük hatvan férfi;	13 of the sons of Adonikam: the younger sons, whose names are: Eliphelet, Jeiel and Shemaiah, and withthem sixty males;
14 Bigváj fiai közül Utáj Zábud fia és velük hetven férfi.	14 and of the sons of Bigvai: Uthai son of Zabud, and with him seventy males.
15 Egybegyűjtöttem őket annál a folyónál, amely Aháva felé folyik, és ott tartózkodtunk három napig. Közben leviták után néztem a nép és a papok között, de nem találtam.	15 I assembled them near the canal which runs to Ahava, where we camped for three days. I noticedlaymen and priests, but I could not discover any Levites there.

21 Majd böjtöt hirdettem ott az Aháva folyó mellett, hogy megsanyargassuk magunkat az Úr, a mi Istenünk előtt és szerencsés utat esdjünk le magunknak, fiainknak és mindennemű jószágunknak.	21 There, beside the Ahava Canal, I then proclaimed a fast, to humble ourselves before our God and topray to him for a successful journey for us, our dependants and all our belongings.
22 Restelltem ugyanis segítséget és lovasokat kérni a királytól, hogy megvédjenek minket az úton az ellenséggel szemben, hiszen azt mondtuk a királynak: »Istenünk keze nyugszik mindazokon, akik jóban hozzá fordulnak, de ereje, hatalma és haragja nehezedik mindazokra, akik elfordulnak tőle.«	22 For I should have been ashamed to ask the king for a company of cavalry to protect us from hostilepeople on our road, as we had already said to the king, 'The hand of our God is over al who seek him for theirprotection, but his mighty retribution befal s al those who forsake him.'
23 Ezért böjtöltünk és könyörögtünk Istenünkhöz. Szerencsésen is jártunk.	23 So we fasted and pleaded with our God about this, and he heard us.
24 Majd kiválasztottam tizenkettőt a papi fejedelmek közül: Sarábját, Hásabját meg tíz testvérüket	24 I next chose twelve of the leading priests, and also Sherebiah and Hashabiah with ten of their kinsmen.
25 és odamértem nekik az ezüstöt, az aranyat meg a mi Istenünk háza számára szent ajándékul adott edényeket, amelyeket a király, valamint tanácsosai és fejedelmei, továbbá azok ajánlottak fel, akik egész Izraelből ott tartózkodtak.	25 To them I weighed out the silver, the gold and the utensils, the contributions which the king, hiscounsel ors, his notables and al the Israelites there present had made for the Temple of our God.
26 Odamértem a kezükbe hatszázötven talentum ezüstöt, száz ezüst edényt, száz talentum aranyat,	26 To them I weighed out and handed over six hundred and fifty talents of silver, one hundred utensils ofsilver valued at two talents, one hundred talents of gold,
27 húsz aranyserleget, körülbelül ezer dáriusz értékben, és a legfinomabb csillogó rézből való két edényt, amely oly szép volt, mintha aranyból lett volna.	27 twenty golden bowls valued at a thousand darics and two utensils of fine burnished copper as preciousas gold.
28 Majd így szóltam hozzájuk: »Ti az Úr szentjei vagytok, és szentek az edények, az ezüst meg az arany is, amelyet önkéntes adományul ajánlottak fel az Úrnak, atyáink Istenének.	28 I said to them, 'You are consecrated to Yahweh; these utensils are consecrated too; the silver and gold are a voluntary offering to Yahweh, God of your ancestors.
29 Vigyázzatok tehát és őrizzétek meg, amíg csak oda nem méritek az Úr házának kincstára számára, a papok és a leviták fejedelmei, meg az izraelita családfők elé Jeruzsálemben.«	29 Guard them carefully until you weigh them out to the leading priests, the Levites, and the heads offamilies of Israel in Jerusalem in the rooms of the Temple of Yahweh.'
30 Erre átvették a papok és a leviták a megmért ezüstöt, aranyat és az edényeket, hogy elszállítsák Jeruzsálembe, a mi Istenünk templomába.	30 The priests and Levites then took charge of the silver, the gold and the utensils thus weighed, to bringthem to Jerusalem to the Temple of our God.
31 Elindultunk az Aháva folyó mellől az első hónap tizenkettedik napján, hogy Jeruzsálembe vándoroljunk. És rajtunk nyugodott az Isten keze, és megóvott minket az úton az ellenségtől és a lesben állóktól.	31 On the twelfth day of the first month we left the Ahava Canal to make our way to Jerusalem; the handof our God was over us and protected us from enemies and surprise attacks on our way.
32 Amikor aztán megérkeztünk Jeruzsálembe és már három napig ott tartózkodtunk,	32 When we arrived in Jerusalem, we rested for three days.
33 a negyedik napon odamértük Istenünk templomában az ezüstöt, az aranyat és az edényeket Meremót, Uriás pap fiának kezéhez Eleazár, Fineesz fia, Jozabád, Józsue fia és Noadája, Binnuj fia, leviták jelenlétében,	33 On the fourth day the silver, the gold and the utensils were weighed in the Temple of our God andhanded over to the priest Meremoth son of Uriah and, with him, Eleazar son of Phinehas; with them were theLevites Jozabad son of Jeshua and Noadiah son of Binnui.

35 A fogságból visszatért száműzöttek ekkor Izrael egész népéért Izrael Istenének egészen elégő áldozatul bemutattak tizenkét bikaborjút, kilencvenhat kost, hetvenhét bárányt, bűnért való áldozatul pedig tizenkét kecskebakot, egytől-egyig egészen elégő áldozatul az Úrnak.	35 When the exiles arrived from their captivity, they offered burnt offerings to the God of Israel -- twelvebulls on behalf of all Israel, ninety-six rams, seventy-two lambs, and as a sin offering twelve he-goats: the wholeof this as a burnt offering to Yahweh.
36 Majd átnyújtották a királyi szatrapáknak és a folyamon túl levő helytartóknak a király rendeletét, erre azok pártfogásba vették a népet és az Isten házát.	36 They also delivered the king's instructions to the king's satraps and the governors of Transeuphrates,who then supported the people and the Temple of God.
