DIODATI	DOUAI-RHEIMS
1 Orazione di Davide GUARDAMI, o Dio; perciocchè io mi confido in te.	1 The inscription of a title to David himself. Preserve me, O Lord, for I have put trust in thee.
2 Io ho detto all’Eterno: Tu sei il mio Signore; Io non ho bene all’infuori di te.	2 I have said to the Lord, thou art my God, for thou hast no need of my goods.
3 Tutta la mia affezione è inverso i santi che sono in terra, E inverso gli uomini onorati.	3 To the saints, who are in his land, he hath made wonderful all my desires in them.
4 I tormenti di coloro che corrono dietro ad altri dii, saran moltiplicati; Io non farò le loro offerte da spandere, che son di sangue; E non mi recherò nelle labbra i nomi loro.	4 Their infirmities were multiplied: afterwards they made haste. I will not gather together their meetings for blood offerings: nor will I be mindful of their names by my lips.
5 Il Signore è la porzione della mia parte, e il mio calice; Tu, Signore, mantieni quello che mi è scaduto in sorte.	5 The Lord is the portion of my inheritance and of my cup: it is thou that wilt restore my inheritance to me.
6 La sorte mi è scaduta in luoghi dilettevoli; Una bella eredità mi è pur toccata.	6 The lines are fallen unto me in goodly places: for my inheritance is goodly to me.
7 Io benedirò il Signore, il qual mi consiglia; Eziandio le notti le mie reni mi ammaestrano	7 I will bless the Lord, who hath given me understanding: moreover my reins also have corrected me even till night.
8 Io ho sempre posto il Signore davanti agli occhi miei; Perciocchè egli è alla mia destra, io non sarò giammai smosso.	8 I set the Lord always in my sight: for he is at my right hand, that I be not moved.
9 Perciò il mio cuore si rallegra, e la mia lingua festeggia; Anzi pur la mia carne abiterà in sicurtà.	9 Therefore my heart hath been glad, and my tongue hath rejoiced: moreover my flesh also shall rest in hope.
10 Perciocchè tu non lascerai l’anima mia nel sepolcro, E non permetterai che il tuo Santo senta la corruzione della fossa.	10 Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; nor wilt then give thy holy one to see corruption.
11 Tu mi mostrerai il sentier della vita; Sazietà d’ogni gioia è col tuo volto; Ogni diletto è nella tua destra in sempiterno	11 Thou hast made known to me the ways of life, thou shalt fill me with joy with thy countenance: at thy right hand are delights even to the end.
