1 «При кінці кожного сьомого року робитимеш відпуст.	1 In the seventh year thou shalt make a remission,
2 А відпуст полягає ось у чому: кожен, хто позичив своєму ближньому, подарує йому свою позику; не буде вимагати її від свого ближнього, ані від свого брата, відколи об’явлено відпуст на честь Господа.	2 Which shall be celebrated in this order. He to whom any thing is owing from his friend or neighbour or brother, cannot demand it again, because it is the year of remission of the Lord,
3 Від чужинця можеш собі вимагати; але те, що належиться тобі в твого брата, відпустиш йому.	3 Of the foreigner or stranger thou mayst exact it: of thy countryman and neighbour thou shalt not have power to demand it again.
4 Та, зрештою, й не буде в тебе вбогого, бо Господь напевно благословитиме тебе в землі, що її Господь, Бог твій, хоче тобі дати в посідання, —	4 And there shall be no poor nor beggar among you: that the Lord thy God may bless thee in the land which he will give thee in possession.
5 але тільки тоді, коли ти слухатимеш голос Господа, Бога твого, і пильно виконуватимеш усі заповіді, що оце я заповідаю тобі сьогодні.	5 Yet so if thou hear the voice of the Lord thy God, and keep all things that he hath ordained, and which I command thee this day, he will bless thee, as he hath promised.
6 Господь, Бог твій, поблагословить тебе, як був тобі обіцяв, так що ти позичатимеш багатьом народам, а сам не будеш позичати ні від кого; володітимеш багатьма народами, а вони не володітимуть тобою.	6 Thou shalt lend to many nations, and thou shalt borrow of no man. Thou shalt have dominion over very many nations, and no one shall have dominion over thee.
7 Коли ж у тебе буде убогий, хто-небудь із твоїх братів, у якомусь твоєму місті на твоїй землі, що її Господь, Бог твій, хоче тобі дати, ти не будеш твердий серцем, ані не буде скудною рука твоя супроти вбогого брата;	7 If one of thy brethren that dwelleth within the gates of thy city in the land which the Lord thy God will give thee, come to poverty: thou shalt not harden thy heart, nor close thy hand,
8 ні — ти радо даси з своєї руки й охоче позичиш йому, скільки в біді, в яку він упав, йому потрібно.	8 But shalt open it to the poor man, thou shalt lend him, that which thou perceivest he hath need of.
9 Гляди, щоб у твоєму серці не зродилась ось така грішна думка: надходить, мовляв, сьомий рік, рік відпусту! — та й станеш споглядати лихим оком на свого рідного брата, й не даси йому нічого; він закликав би тоді Господа проти тебе, й ти взяв би гріх на себе.	9 Beware lest perhaps a wicked thought steal in upon thee, and thou say in thy heart: The seventh year of remission draweth nigh; and thou turn away thy eyes from thy poor brother, denying to lend him that which he asketh: lest he cry against thee to the Lord, and it become a sin unto thee.
10 Дай йому щедро й не смутись у своєму серці, що даєш йому, бо за цей учинок Господь, Бог твій, поблагословить тебе у кожній праці й у всіх починах рук твоїх.	10 But thou shalt give to him: neither shalt thou do any thing craftily in relieving his necessities: that the Lord thy God may bless thee at all times, and in all things to which thou shalt put thy hand.
11 Справді, вбогі ніколи не переведуться на землі, тому то я тобі й заповідаю: щедро розтулюй свою долоню для свого брата, для нужденного й для вбогого в твоїй землі.	11 There will not be wanting poor in the land of thy habitation: therefore I command thee to open thy hand to thy needy and poor brother, that liveth in the land.
12 Коли запродасться тобі твій брат, єврей чи єврейка, і прослужить шість років у тебе, в сьомому році відпустиш його від себе на волю.	12 When thy brother a Hebrew man, or Hebrew woman is sold to thee, and hath served thee six years, in the seventh year thou shalt let him go free:
13 Але як відпускатимеш його від себе на волю, то не будеш відпускати його з порожніми руками.	13 And when thou sendest him out free, thou shalt not let him go away empty:
14 Обдаруєш його щедро з твоєї кошари та з твого току, й з твоєї винотоки; чим тебе Господь, Бог твій, благословив, з того й даси йому.	14 But shalt give him for his way out of thy flocks, and out of thy barnfloor, and thy winepress, wherewith the Lord thy God shall bless thee.
15 Пам’ятай, що ти був рабом у Єгипетській землі та що Господь, Бог твій, визволив тебе; тому таке я заповідаю тобі сьогодні.	15 Remember that thou also wast a bondservant in the land of Egypt, and the Lord thy God made thee free, and therefore I now command thee this.
16 А коли він скаже до тебе: Не хочу я йти від тебе, тому що люблю тебе й дім твій, — або що добре йому в тебе,	16 But if he say: I will not depart: because he loveth thee, and thy house, and findeth that he is well with thee:
17 то ти візьмеш шило і проколеш йому вухо проти дверей, і він буде тобі довіку рабом. Так само зробиш і з рабинею твоєю.	17 Thou shalt take an awl, and bore through his ear in the door of thy house, and he shall serve thee for ever: thou shalt do in like manner to thy womanservant also.
18 Не жалуй, що відпускатимеш його на волю, бо за шість років він заробив тобі вдвоє більше, ніж становить наймитова плата; і Господь, Бог твій, поблагословить тебе в усьому, що робитимеш.	18 Turn not away thy eyes from them when thou makest them tree: because he hath served thee six years according to the wages of a hireling: that the Lord thy God may bless thee in all the works that thou dost.
19 Кожного первака самця, що вродиться тобі з великорослої й дрібної скотини, присвятиш Господеві, Богу твоєму. Не запряжеш до роботи первака твого бугая і не стригтимеш первака з твоєї отари;	19 Of the firstlings, that come of thy herds and thy sheep, thou shalt sanctify to the Lord thy God whatsoever is of the male sex. Thou shalt not work with the firstling of a bullock, and thou shalt not shear the firstlings of thy sheep.
20 щороку їстимеш його перед Господом, Богом твоїм, на місці, що його вибере Господь, Бог твій, ти сам і твій дім.	20 In the sight of the Lord thy God shalt thou eat them every year, in the place that the Lord shall choose, thou and thy house.
21 Коли ж у нього буде якась вада, чи кульгаве, чи сліпе воно, чи матиме якийсь інший ґандж, то не приноситимеш його в жертву Господеві, Богу твоєму.	21 But if it have a blemish, or be lame, or blind, or in any part disfigured or feeble, it shall not be sacrificed to the Lord thy God.
22 В своїй оселі їстимеш його, нечистий і чистий однаково, як лань та оленя.	22 But thou shalt eat it within the gates of thy city: the clean and the unclean shall eat them alike, as the roe and as the hart.
23 Тільки крови його не споживатимеш; виллєш її на землю, як воду.»	23 Only thou shalt take heed not to eat their blood, but pour it out on the earth as water.
