1 Malheur aux bergers qui perdent et dispersent les brebis de mon pâturage!	1 “Woe to the shepherds who scatter and tear apart the sheep of my pasture, says the Lord.
2 Voici une parole de Yahvé, le Dieu d’Israël, pour les pasteurs qui font paître mon peuple: Vous avez dispersé mes brebis, vous les avez chassées, vous ne vous en êtes pas occupés. C’est pourquoi maintenant je m’occupe de vous et de vos méfaits.	2 Because of this, thus says the Lord, the God of Israel, to the shepherds who pasture my people: You have scattered my flock, and you have driven them away, and you have not visited them. Behold, I will visit upon you because of your evil pursuits, says the Lord.
3 Je vais rassembler le reste de mes brebis de tous les pays où je les ai chassées, et je les ramènerai dans leurs pâturages; là elles se développeront et se multiplieront.	3 And I will gather together the remnant of my flock from the entire earth, from the places to which I had cast them out. And I will return them to their own fields. And they will increase and be multiplied.
4 Je choisirai pour elles des bergers qui les feront paître; elles n’auront plus ni peur ni crainte, aucune ne se perdra - parole de Yahvé.	4 And I will raise up shepherds over them, and they will pasture them. They will no longer dread, and they will no longer fear. And no one among their number will be seeking more, says the Lord.
5 Voici venir des jours - parole de Yahvé, où je ferai sortir de David un germe juste. Un roi gouvernera avec sagesse, il établira dans le pays la justice et la droiture.	5 Behold, the days are approaching, says the Lord, when I will raise up to David a righteous branch. And a king will reign, and he will be wise. And he will exercise judgment and justice upon the earth.
6 En ces jours Juda sera sauvé, Israël trouvera la paix; voici le nom qu’on lui donnera: Yahvé-notre-Justice.	6 In those days, Judah will be saved, and Israel will live in confidence. And this is the name that they will call him: ‘The Lord, our Just One.’
7 C’est pourquoi, voici venir des jours - parole de Yahvé - où l’on ne dira plus: Vive Yahvé qui a fait sortir les Israélites du pays d’Égypte!	7 Because of this, behold, the days are approaching, says the Lord, when they will no longer say, ‘As the Lord lives, who led the sons of Israel away from the land of Egypt,’
8 Mais on dira: Vive Yahvé qui a fait revenir les enfants d’Israël du pays du nord et de tous les pays où il les avait chassés, et qui les a réinstallés sur leurs terres!	8 but instead, ‘As the Lord lives, who led away and brought back the offspring of the house of Israel from the land of the north and from the entire earth,’ from the places to which I had cast them out. And they will live in their own land.”
9 Pour les prophètes. Mon cœur se brise au-dedans de moi, tous mes os frémissent: Yahvé et ses paroles saintes m’ont laissé comme un homme ivre, terrassé par le vin.	9 To the prophets: “My heart is crushed within me. All my bones are trembling. I have become like an inebriated man, and like a man maddened by wine, before the face of the Lord, and before the face of his holy words.
10 Car le pays est rempli d’adultères; le pays est en deuil et la malédiction a grillé les pâturages du désert. Les gens courent après le mal, ils dépensent leurs forces pour l’injustice.	10 For the earth is full of adulterers! And the earth has mourned before the face of evil talk. The plains of the desert have dried up, and their course has become hazardous, and their firmness has become uneven.”
11 Même le prophète et le prêtre se sont corrompus; j’ai trouvé le mal jusque dans mon Temple - parole de Yahvé.	11 “For both the prophet and the priest have become polluted, and I have found their wickedness within my own house, says the Lord.
12 C’est pourquoi leur chemin va se terminer en glissades dans l’obscurité; ils se heurteront et ils iront à terre quand viendra l’année du châtiment et que j’amènerai sur eux le malheur.	12 For this reason, their way will be like a slippery path in the dark. For they will be impelled forward, and they will fall in it. For I will bring evils over them, in the year of their visitation, says the Lord.
13 Chez les prophètes de Samarie j’ai trouvé la stupidité; ils égaraient mon peuple Israël avec leurs prophéties au nom de Baal.	13 And I have seen the foolishness of the prophets of Samaria. They have prophesied in Baal, and they have deceived my people Israel.
14 Chez les prophètes de Jérusalem j’ai trouvé des horreurs: l’adultère, l’entêtement dans le mensonge. Ils soutiennent si bien les malfaiteurs, qu’aucun d’eux ne renonce à ses méfaits. Ils sont tous pour moi comme Sodome; quant aux habitants, c’est Gomorrhe.	14 And in the prophets of Jerusalem, I have seen the likeness of adulterers and the path of falsehood. And they have strengthened the hands of the wicked, so that each one would not convert from his malice. They have all become to me like Sodom, and its inhabitants have become like Gomorrah.”
15 En conséquence, voici ce que dit Yahvé Sabaot pour les prophètes: Je vais leur faire mâcher de l’absinthe, je leur ferai boire des eaux empoisonnées, car la perversité a gagné tout le pays à partir des prophètes de Jérusalem.	15 Because of this, thus says the Lord of hosts to the prophets: “Behold, I will feed them absinthe, and I will give them gall to drink. For from the prophets of Jerusalem corruption has gone forth over the entire earth.”
16 Yahvé Sabaot dit encore: N’écoutez pas les paroles des prophètes qui prophétisent pour vous; ils vous trompent. Ils vous disent ce qui sort de leur imagination et non pas de la bouche de Yahvé.	16 Thus says the Lord of hosts: “Do not choose to listen to the words of the prophets who prophesy to you and deceive you. They speak a vision from their own heart, and not from the mouth of the Lord.
17 À ceux qui me méprisent, ils disent: “Tout ira bien, parole de Yahvé!” Et à ceux qui n’en font qu’à leur tête ils disent: “Il ne vous arrivera rien de mal!”	17 To those who blaspheme me, they say: ‘The Lord has said: You shall have peace.’ And to every one who walks in the depravity of his own heart, they have said: ‘No evil will overwhelm you.’ ”
18 Mais qui donc a assisté au conseil de Yahvé pour connaître et entendre sa parole? Qui a cherché à entendre sa parole pour la redire?	18 For who has been present in the counsel of the Lord, and who has seen and heard his word? Who has considered his word and heard it?
19 Voici qu’éclate la tempête de Yahvé: un ouragan tourbillonne et fond sur la tête des méchants.	19 Behold, the whirlwind of the Lord’s indignation will go forth, and a tempest will break out; it will overwhelm the head of the impious.
20 Yahvé ne reviendra pas de sa colère avant d’avoir fait, d’avoir mené à bien son projet. Après cela, dans le futur, vous en aurez pleine connaissance.	20 The fury of the Lord will not return until it succeeds, and until it completes the plan of his heart. In the last days, you will understand this counsel.
21 Je n’ai pas envoyé ces prophètes, mais ils courent; je ne leur ai pas parlé, mais ils prophétisent.	21 “I did not send these prophets, yet they hurry forward. I was not speaking to them, yet they were prophesying.
22 S’ils avaient assisté à mon conseil, ils auraient fait entendre mes paroles à mon peuple; ils l’auraient fait revenir de sa mauvaise conduite et de ses actions méchantes.	22 If they had stood in my counsel, and if I had made my words known to my people, certainly I would have turned them away from their evil ways and from their most wicked plans.
23 Suis-je un Dieu seulement de près? Ne suis-je pas Dieu aussi de loin?	23 Do you not realize that I am a God close by, says the Lord, and not a God far away?
24 Un homme peut-il se cacher dans ses cachettes sans que je le voie? Est-ce que je n’occupe pas tout l’espace du ciel et de la terre - parole de Yahvé.	24 If a man is hidden in concealed places, do I not see him, says the Lord? Do I not fill up heaven and earth, says the Lord?
25 J’ai entendu ces prophètes qui font en mon nom de fausses prophéties. Ils disent: “J’ai eu un songe!”	25 I have heard what the prophets have said, prophesying falsehoods in my name, and also saying: ‘I have dreamed! I have dreamed!’
26 Combien de temps encore y aura-t-il chez les prophètes, des prophètes à fausses prophéties, qui racontent leurs inventions?	26 How long will this be in the heart of the prophets who predict what is false, and who prophesy deceptions from their own heart?
27 Avec les songes qu’ils se repassent l’un à l’autre, ils en arriveront à faire oublier mon nom à mon peuple, comme leurs pères qui ont oublié mon nom pour celui de Baal.	27 They want to cause my people to forget my name, by means of their dreams, which each of them describes to his neighbor, just as their fathers forgot my name for the sake of Baal.
28 Le prophète qui a un songe ne raconte qu’un songe; mais celui qui a reçu ma parole, dit ma parole de vérité. Qu’y a-t-il de commun entre la paille et le blé - parole de Yahvé?	28 The prophet who has had a dream, let him describe the dream. And he who receives my word, let him speak my word in truth. For what has the chaff to do with the wheat, says the Lord?
29 Ma parole est comme le feu, comme le marteau qui brise le roc.	29 Are not my words like a fire, says the Lord, and like a hammer crushing rock?
30 C’est pourquoi - parole de Yahvé - je me lève contre les prophètes qui se volent mes paroles l’un à l’autre.	30 Therefore, behold: I am against the prophets, says the Lord, who steal my words, each one from his neighbor.
31 Je m’en prends aux prophètes qui n’ont qu’à remuer la langue pour faire une prophétie.	31 Behold, I am against the prophets, says the Lord, who take up their tongues and say: ‘The Lord says it.’
32 Je m’en prends aux prophètes à songes creux, qui les racontent et qui égarent mon peuple avec leurs mensonges et leurs sottises. Je ne les ai pas envoyés, je ne leur ai rien demandé, et ils n’aident en rien ce peuple.	32 Behold, I am against the prophets, who dream what is false, says the Lord; who explain and so seduce my people with their falsehoods and with their miracles, though I did not send them, nor did I command them. They have offer nothing beneficial to this people, says the Lord.
33 Lorsque ce peuple, ou un prophète, ou un prêtre, te demandera: “Quel est le fardeau de Yahvé?” Tu répondras: “C’est vous le fardeau dont je vais me débarrasser - parole de Yahvé!”	33 Therefore, if this people, or a prophet, or a priest questions you, saying, ‘What is the burden of the Lord?’ you shall say to them, ‘You are the burden. And certainly I will cast you away, says the Lord.’
34 Et si un prophète, un prêtre ou un homme du peuple dit: “Fardeau de Yahvé”, je punirai l’homme et sa famille.	34 And as for the prophet, and the priest, and the people who say, ‘The burden of the Lord!’ I will visit upon that man and upon his house.
35 Voici comment vous parlerez entre vous, entre compagnons: “Qu’a répondu Yahvé, qu’a dit Yahvé?”	35 And then you will speak in this way, each one to his neighbor and to his brother: ‘What has the Lord answered? And what has the Lord said?’
36 Mais ne répétez pas l’expression: “Fardeau de Yahvé” car elle pourrait devenir pesante pour celui qui l’emploie. (Car vous déformez les paroles du Dieu vivant, Yahvé Sabaot, notre Dieu.)	36 And the burden of the Lord will be no longer be called to mind. For each one’s own word will be a burden. For you have perverted the words of the living God, of the Lord of hosts, our God.
37 Voici ce que tu diras au prophète: “Que t’a répondu Yahvé, qu’a dit Yahvé?”	37 And then you will speak in this way to the prophet: ‘What has the Lord answered you? And what has the Lord spoken?’
38 Sinon Yahvé vous dira ceci: Puisque vous prononcez ce mot “Fardeau de Yahvé” alors que je vous ai fait dire de ne plus le prononcer,	38 But if you say, ‘The burden of the Lord!’ then because of this, thus says the Lord: Since you have spoken this word, ‘The burden of the Lord!’ though I sent to you telling you not to say: ‘The burden of the Lord,’
39 je vous oublierai complètement et je vous rejetterai loin de moi, vous et la ville que j’avais donnée à vous et à vos pères.	39 because of this, behold, I will take you away, like a burden, and I will forsake you, as well as the city that I gave to you and to your fathers, before my face.
40 Je ferai venir sur vous une humiliation qui restera, une honte que jamais l’on n’oubliera.	40 And I will give you over to an everlasting reproach and an eternal disgrace, which shall never be wiped away into oblivion.”
