NEW JERUSALEM	Biblia Matos Soares
1 Disaster for those so comfortable in Zion and for those so confident on the hil of Samaria, the notablesof this first of nations, those to whom the House of Israel has recourse!	1 Ai de vós que viveis em Sião, na abundância, e que viveis sem receio no monte de Samaria; ai de vós, ó chefes do primeiro povo, aos quais acorre a casa de Israel!
2 Travel to Calneh and look, go on from there to Hamath the great, then go down to Gath in Philistia. Arethey more powerful than these kingdoms? Is their territory larger than yours?	2 Passai a Calne e contemplai; e ide de lá a Hamat, a grande; descei a Get dos Filisteus. 3 Thinking to defer the evil day, you are hastening the reign of violence.	3 Julgais distante o dia mau, e estais a aproximar-vos do reino da violência.

11 For look, Yahweh gives the command: as he strikes, the great house fal s to pieces and the smalhouse is in fragments.	11 Ele responderá: Não há mais. Então o outro lhe dirá: Silêncio! Não é ocasião de pronunciar o nome do Senhor.
12 Can horses gal op over rocks? Can the sea be ploughed with oxen? Yet you have changed justiceinto poison, and the fruit of uprightness into wormwood,	12 Porque eis que o Senhor decreta: fará cair em ruínas a casa grande, e em destroços a casa pequena.
13 while rejoicing over Lo-Debar and saying, 'Wasn't it by our own strength that we captured Karnaim?'	13 Porventura podem os cavalos correr entre rochedos, ou pode-se lavrar o mar com bois? Entretanto pretendeis converter o (justo) juízo em amargura, e em absinto o fruto da justiça.
14 But look, House of Israel, against you -declares Yahweh, God Sabaoth- I am raising a nation tooppress you from the Pass of Hamath to the Gorge of the Arabah.	14 Vós alegrai-vos por causa de Lodabar, dizeis: Não foi por nossa própria fortaleza que tomámos Carnaim?
	15 Pois, casa de Israel, diz o Senhor Deus dos exércitos, vou suscitar contra vós uma nação que vos oprimirá desde a entrada de Hamat até à torrente do deserto.
