NEW JERUSALEM	Біблія
1 Disaster for those so comfortable in Zion and for those so confident on the hil of Samaria, the notablesof this first of nations, those to whom the House of Israel has recourse!	1 Горе безжурним на Сіоні та безпечним на горі самарійській, значним у першому з народів, до яких дім Ізраїля приходить!
2 Travel to Calneh and look, go on from there to Hamath the great, then go down to Gath in Philistia. Arethey more powerful than these kingdoms? Is their territory larger than yours?	2 Перейдіть у Калне й гляньте, а звідти йдіть у Хамат Великий, потім спустіться в Гат Філістимлянський. Чи ж вони ліпші, ніж ці царства? Чи ж їхня країна більша, аніж ваша?
3 Thinking to defer the evil day, you are hastening the reign of violence.	3 Ви віддаляєте день лиха й наближаєте насильства осередок.
4 Lying on ivory beds and sprawling on their divans, they dine on lambs from the flock, and stal -fattened veal;	4 Вилежуєтесь на слонових ложах і розтягаєтесь на їхніх постелях; їсте собі ягнят з отари та телят із хліву.
5 they bawl to the sound of the lyre and, like David, they invent musical instruments;	5 Кричать під звуки гарфи, вигадують собі, немов Давид, музичне знаряддя.
6 they drink wine by the bowlful, and lard themselves with the finest oils, but for the ruin of Joseph theycare nothing.	6 П’ють вино в великих чашах, намащуються мастьми вельми дорогими і над руїною Йосифа не вболівають.
7 That is why they wil now go into captivity, heading the column of captives. The sprawlers' revelry isover.	7 За те ж підуть тепер у полон на чолі полонених, і гульня тих, що вилежувалися, минеться.
8 Lord Yahweh has sworn by his own self -declares Yahweh, God Sabaoth: I detest the pride of Jacob, Ihate his palaces, I shal hand over the city and al in it.	8 Господь Бог поклявся самим собою, — слово Господа, Бога сил: «Мені огидна Якова гординя, його палаци ненавиджу; я видам місто з усім, що є у ньому.»
9 If ten people are left in a single house, they wil die	9 І станеться, коли в одному домі лишиться десять чоловік, вони помруть.
10 and a few will be left to carry the bones from the house, and they will say to anyone deep inside thehouse, 'Any more there?' and he wil answer, 'No.' Then he wil say, 'Hush!-Yahweh's name must not bementioned.'	10 І останеться мало хто, щоб виносити спалені кості з хати. І як хтось спитає того, що в самій середині у хаті: «Чи є ще хтось із тобою?» — і той відкаже: «Ні!» — тоді він скаже: «Цить, бо не годиться згадувати ім’я Господнє!»
11 For look, Yahweh gives the command: as he strikes, the great house fal s to pieces and the smalhouse is in fragments.	11 Бо ось Господь накаже, й великий дім на скіпки розпадеться, а малий — на тріски.
12 Can horses gal op over rocks? Can the sea be ploughed with oxen? Yet you have changed justiceinto poison, and the fruit of uprightness into wormwood,	12 Чи ж коні бігають по скелях? Чи хтось орав коли волами море? А ви обертаєте правосуддя в отруту, плід справедливости — у полин.
13 while rejoicing over Lo-Debar and saying, 'Wasn't it by our own strength that we captured Karnaim?'	13 О ви, що радуєтесь невідь чому, кажучи: «Чи ж не нашою силою ми здобули собі могутність?»
14 But look, House of Israel, against you -declares Yahweh, God Sabaoth- I am raising a nation tooppress you from the Pass of Hamath to the Gorge of the Arabah.	14 «Та ось, доме Ізраїля, я на вас підійму, — слово Господа, Бога сил, — народ, і вас тіснитимуть від Хамат-входу до Арава-потоку.»
