Proverbios 4

BIBLIA	KING JAMES BIBLE
1 Escuchad, hijos, la instrucción del padre, estad atentos para aprender inteligencia,	1 Hear, ye children, the instruction of a father, and attend to know understanding.
2 porque es buena la doctrina que os enseño; no abandonéis mi lección.	2 For I give you good doctrine, forsake ye not my law.
3 También yo fui hijo para mi padre, tierno y querido a los ojos de mi madre,	3 For I was my father's son, tender and only beloved in the sight of my mother.
4 El me enseñaba y me decía: «Retén mis palabras en tu corazón, guarda mis mandatos y vivirás.	4 He taught me also, and said unto me, Let thine heart retain my words: keep my commandments, and live.
5 Adquiere la sabiduría, adquiere la inteligencia, no la olvides, no te apartes de los dichos de mi boca.	5 Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth.
6 No la abandones y ella te guardará, ámala y ella será tu defensa.	6 Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee.
7 El comienzo de la sabiduría es: adquiere la sabiduría, a costa de todos tus bienes adquiere la inteligencia.	7 Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.
8 Haz acopio de ella, y ella te ensalzará; ella te honrará, si tú la abrazas;	8 Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her.
9 pondrá en tu cabeza una diadema de gracia, una espléndida corona será tu regalo».	9 She shall give to thine head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she deliver to thee.
10 Escucha, hijo mío, recibe mis palabras, y los años de tu vida se te multiplicarán.	10 Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings; and the years of thy life shall be many.
11 En el camino de la sabiduría te he instruido, te he encaminado por los senderos de la rectitud.	11 I have taught thee in the way of wisdom; I have led thee in right paths.
12 Al andar no se enredarán tus pasos, y si corres, no tropezarás.	12 When thou goest, thy steps shall not be straitened; and when thou runnest, thou shalt not stumble.
13 Aférrate a la instrucción, no la sueltes; guárdala, que es tu vida.	13 Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is thy life.
14 No te metas por la senda de los perversos, ni vayas por el camino de los malvados.	14 Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not in the way of evil men.
15 Evítalo, no pases por él, apártate de él, pasa adelante.	15 Avoid it, pass not by it, turn from it, and pass away.
16 Porque ésos no duermen si no obran el mal, se les quita el sueño si no han hecho caer a alguno.	16 For they sleep not, except they have done mischief; and their sleep is taken away, unless they cause some to fall.
17 Es que su pan es pan de maldad, y vino de violencia es su bebida.	17 For they eat the bread of wickedness, and drink the wine of violence.
18 La senda de los justos es como la luz del alba, que va en aumento hasta llegar a pleno día.	18 But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.
19 Pero el camino de los malos es como tinieblas, no saben dónde han tropezado.	19 The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble.
20 Atiende, hijo mío, a mis palabras, inclina tu oído a mis razones.	20 My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.
21 No las apartes de tus ojos, guárdalas dentro de tu corazón.	21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.
22 Porque son vida para los que las encuentran, y curación para toda carne.	22 For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.
23 Por encima de todo cuidado, guarda tu corazón, porque de él brotan las fuentes de la vida.	23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.
24 Aparta de ti la falsía de la boca y el enredo de los labios arrójalo de ti.	24 Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee.
25 Miren de frente tus ojos, tus párpados derechos a lo que está ante tí.	25 Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee.
26 Tantea bien el sendero de tus pies y sean firmes todos tus caminos.	26 Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established.
27 No te tuerzas ni a derecha ni a izquierda, aparta tu pie de la maldad.	27 Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.
