Isaia 3

BIBBIA RICCIOTTI	CATHOLIC PUBLIC DOMAIN
1 - Perchè ecco che il Dominatore, il Signore degli eserciti, toglierà da Gerusalemme e da Giuda ogni valido e forte sostegno, ogni sostentamento di pane ed ogni sostentamento di acqua:	1 For behold, the sovereign Lord of hosts will take away, from Jerusalem and from Judah, the powerful and the strong: all the strength from bread, and all the strength from water;
2 l'uomo di valore e l'uomo di guerra, il giudice ed il profeta e l'indovino e l'anziano,	2 the strong man, and the man of war, the judge and the prophet, and the seer and the elder;
3 il comandante di cinquanta e l'uomo di riguardo e il consigliere, l'esperto nelle arti ed il conoscitore del linguaggio arcano.	3 the leader over fifty and the honorable in appearance; and the counselor, and the wise among builders, and the skillful in mystical speech.
4 E loro darò per principi dei fanciulli, li domineranno gli effeminati.	4 And I will provide children as their leaders, and the effeminate will rule over them.
5 E il popolo si scaglierà uno contro l'altro, ogni uomo contro il suo eguale e il giovane infurierà contro il vecchio e il plebeo contro il nobile.	5 And the people will rush, man against man, and each one against his neighbor. The child shall rebel against the elder, and the ignoble against the noble.
6 Perchè un uomo afferrerà un suo fratello del casato di suo padre: «Un vestito tu ce l'hai, sii nostro governatore, e questa rovina sia sotto la tua mano».	6 For a man will apprehend his brother, from the household of his own father, saying: “The vestment is yours. Be our leader, but let this ruin be under your hand.”
7 Ed egli risponderà in quel giorno dicendo: «Non sono io l'uomo dei rimedi, e in casa mia non c'è nè pane, nè vestito; non mi costituite governatore di popolo».	7 In that day, he will respond by saying: “I am not a healer, and there is no bread or vestment in my house. Do not choose to appoint me as a leader of the people.”
8 Gerusalemme rovina, e Giuda precipita, perchè la loro lingua e i loro intendimenti sono contro il Signore, per inacerbire gli occhi della sua maestà.	8 For Jerusalem is ruined, and Judah has fallen, because their words and their plans are against the Lord, in order to provoke the eyes of his majesty.
9 L'aspetto della loro faccia risponde contro di essi: come Sodoma hanno proclamato il loro peccato e non l'hanno celato. Guai alle loro anime! perchè i loro mali sono stati ad essi ripagati.	9 The acknowledgement of their countenance is their response. For they have proclaimed their own sin, like Sodom; and they have not concealed it. Woe to their souls! For evils are being repaid to them.
10 Dite al giusto che avrà bene, perchè gusterà il frutto delle sue opere.	10 Tell the just man that it is well, for he shall eat from the fruit from his own plans.
11 Guai all'empio! avrà male, perchè la retribuzione delle sue mani gli sarà resa.	11 Woe to the impious man immersed in evil! For retribution will be given to him from his own hands.
12 Il mio popolo lo hanno spogliato i suoi tiranni e signoreggiato le donne. O popolo mio, coloro che ti dicono beato sono quelli che ti ingannano e cancellano la via tracciata ai tuoi passi!	12 As for my people, their oppressors have despoiled them, and women have ruled over them. My people, who call you blessed, the same are deceiving you and disrupting the path of your steps.
13 Il Signore sta in giudizio, sta pronto per giudicare i popoli.	13 The Lord stands for judgment, and he stands to judge the people.
14 Il Signore verrà in giudizio contro gli anziani del suo popolo e contro i suoi principi: «Siete voi che avete depredata la mia vigna, e che le spoglie del povero ritenete nelle vostre case.	14 The Lord will enter into judgment with the elders of his people, and with their leaders. For you have been devouring the vineyard, and the plunder from the poor is in your house.
15 Perchè schiacciate il mio popolo, e pestate la faccia dei poveri?» dice il Signore degli eserciti.	15 Why do you wear down my people, and grind up the faces of the poor, says the Lord, the God of hosts?
16 Il Signore disse: «Giacchè le figlie di Sion si sono inorgoglite e camminarono a collo steso ammiccando cogli occhi, dondolando e tintinnando i piedi, e con portamento artificioso incedevano;	16 And the Lord said: Because the daughters of Zion have been lifted up, and have walked with extended necks and winking eyes, because they have continued on, walking noisily and advancing with a pretentious stride,
17 il Signore scalverà la testa alle figlie di Sion, e le denuderà della loro capigliatura».	17 the Lord will make the heads of the daughters of Zion bald, and the Lord will strip them of the locks of their hair.
18 In quel giorno il Signore toglierà via lo sfoggio delle calzature, e le lunette,	18 In that day, the Lord will take away their decorative shoes,
19 e le collane, ed i monili, e i braccialetti e le tiare,	19 and the little moons and chains, and the necklaces and bracelets, and the hats,
20 e gli scriminatoi, e le sottane, e le catenelle, e i profumi, e gli orecchini,	20 and the ornaments for their hair, and the anklets, and the touches of myrrh and little bottles of perfumes, and the earrings,
21 e gli anelli, e i monili pendenti dalla fronte,	21 and the rings, and the jewels hanging on their foreheads,
22 e le sottovesti, e le mantiglie, e gli scialli, e gli spilloni,	22 and the continual changes in appearance, and the short skirts, and the fine linens and embroidered cloths,
23 e gli specchi, e i veli, e le sciarpe e le vestaglie.	23 and the mirrors, and scarves, and ribbons, and their sparse clothing.
24 E avverrà che invece di profumo vi sarà lezzo; e invece di una cintura, una corda; e invece di acconciatura di capelli, calvizie; e invece di una fascia pettorale, un cilicio.	24 And in place of a sweet fragrance, there will be stench. And in place of a belt, there will be a rope. And in place of stylish hair, there will be baldness. And in place of a blouse, there will be haircloth.
25 Ed anche i tuoi più belli uomini periranno di spada e i tuoi valorosi cadranno nella battaglia.	25 Likewise, your most handsome men will fall by the sword, and your strong men will fall in battle.
26 E gemeranno e faranno lutto le sue porte, e sederà per terra sconsolata.	26 And her gates will grieve and mourn. And she will sit on the ground, desolate.
