1 John 1

1 He who was from the beginning, whom we have heard, whom we have seen with our eyes, upon whom we have gazed, and whom our hands have certainly touched: He is the Word of Life.	1 Lo que existía desde el principio, lo que hemos oído, lo que hemos visto con nuestros ojos, lo que hemos contemplado y lo que hemos tocado con nuestras manos acerca de la Palabra de Vida, es lo que les anunciamos.
2 And that Life has been made manifest. And we have seen, and we testify, and we announce to you: the Eternal Life, who was with the Father, and who appeared to us.	2 Porque la Vida se hizo visible, y nosotros la vimos y somos testigos, y les anunciamos la Vida eterna, que existía junto al Padre y que se nos ha manifestado.
3 He whom we have seen and heard, we announce to you, so that you, too, may have fellowship with us, and so that our fellowship may be with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ.	3 Lo que hemos visto y oído, se lo anunciamos también a ustedes, para que vivan en comunión con nosotros. Y nuestra comunión es con el Padre y con su Hijo Jesucristo.
4 And this we write to you, so that you may rejoice, and so that your joy may be full.	4 Les escribimos esto para que nuestra alegría sea completa.
5 And this is the announcement which we have heard from him, and which we announce to you: that God is light, and in him there is no darkness.	5 La noticia que hemos oído de él y que nosotros les anunciamos, es esta: Dios es luz, y en él no hay tinieblas.
6 If we claim that we have fellowship with him, and yet we walk in darkness, then we are lying and not telling the truth.	6 Si decimos que estamos en comunión con él y caminamos en las tinieblas, mentimos y no procedemos conforme a la verdad.
7 But if we walk in the light, just as he also is in the light, then we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ, his Son, cleanses us from all sin.	7 Pero si caminamos en la luz, como el mismo está en la luz, estamos en comunión unos con otros, y la sangre de su Hijo Jesús nos purifica de todo pecado.
8 If we claim that we have no sin, then we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us.	8 Si decimos que no tenemos pecado, nos engañamos a nosotros mismos y la verdad no está en nosotros.
9 If we confess our sins, then he is faithful and just, so as to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all iniquity.	9 Si confesamos nuestros pecados, él es fiel y justo para perdonarnos y purificarnos de toda maldad.
10 If we claim that we have not sinned, then we make him a liar, and his Word is not in us.	10 Si decimos que no hemos pecado, lo hacemos pasar por mentiroso, y su palabra no está en nosotros.
