Ezekiel 32

1 And it happened that, in the twelfth year, in the twelfth month, on the first of the month, the word of the Lord came to me, saying:	1 E fu fatto nel duodecimo anno, nel mese duodecimo, a dì primo del mese, che Iddio disse a me:
2 “Son of man, take up a lamentation over Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, and you shall say to him: You are like the lion of the Gentiles, and like the dragon that is in the sea. And you brandished a horn among your rivers, and you disturbed the waters with your feet, and you trampled upon their rivers.	2 O figliuolo d' uomo, piglia lamento sopra Faraone, re d'Egitto, e dirai a lui: tu se' assomigliato allo leone delle genti, e allo drago lo quale è nel mare; e ventolavi col corno nei fiumi tuoi, e turbavi l'acque con i tuoi piedi, e conculcavi li loro fiumi.
3 Because of this, thus says the Lord God: I will spread my net over you, with the multitude of many peoples, and I will draw you into my dragnet.	3 Però questo dice lo Signore Iddio: io spanderò sopra te la mia rete nella moltitudine de' miei popoli, e trarrotti fuori colla mia sagena.
4 And I will throw you upon the land. I will cast you upon the surface of the field. And I will cause all the birds of the air to live upon you. And I will satiate the beasts of the entire earth with you.	4 E gitterotti in terra; io ti gitterò sopra la faccia del campo, e farò abitare sopra a te tutti li uccelli del cielo, e farò di te tutte le bestie della terra sazie.
5 And I will place your flesh upon the mountains. And I will fill up your hills with your decaying flesh.	5 E porrò le tue carni sopra li monti, ed empierò li colli della tua bruttura.
6 And I will irrigate the earth with your rotting blood upon the mountains. And the valleys will be filled with you.	6 E bagnerò (tutta) la terra del fetore del tuo sangue, e anche li monti e le valli si riempieranno di te.
7 And I will cover heaven, when you will have been extinguished. And I will cause its stars to grow dark. I will shroud the sun with gloom, and the moon will not give her light.	7 E coprirò lo cielo, quando sarai stato estinto, e farò diventare nere le stelle del cielo; e coprirò lo sole col nuvolo, e la luna non darà lo suo lume.
8 I will cause all the lights of heaven to grieve over you. And I will bring darkness upon your land, says the Lord God, when your wounded will have fallen in the midst of the land, says the Lord God.	8 E farò dolere sopra di te tutti li luminari del cielo, e darò le tenebre sopra la tua terra, dice lo Signore Iddio, quando cadranno feriti ... dice lo Signor Iddio.
9 And I will provoke the heart of many peoples to anger, when I will have led in your destruction among the Gentiles, over the lands that you have not known.	9 E commoverò a ira lo cuore di molti popoli, quando averò indotto la tua contrizione nelle genti sopra le terre le quali tu non sai.
10 And I will cause many peoples to be stupefied over you. And their kings will be afraid, with great horror, over you, when my sword will begin to fly above their faces. And suddenly, they will be struck with astonishment, each one concerning his own life, on the day of their ruination.	10 E faró maravigliare sopra te molti popoli; e li loro re con molto spaventamento temeranno sopra te (per tutte le tue iniquitadi le quali tu hai adoperate), quando lo mio coltello averà incominciato a volare sopra le loro faccie; ciascuni staranno ismemorati per l'anima sua nello di della tua ruina.
11 For thus says the Lord God: The sword of the king of Babylon will come to you.	11 Però che questo dice lo Signore Iddio: lo coltello dello re di Babilonia verrà a te.
12 By the swords of the strong, I will cast down your multitude. All these nations are invincible, and they will lay waste to the arrogance of Egypt, and so its multitude will be destroyed.	12 E caccerò la tua moltitudine tra li coltelli de' forti; tutte queste genti sono inespugnabili, e guasteranno la superbia d' Egitto, e la sua moltitudine sarà dissipata.
13 And I will perish all its cattle, which were above the many waters. And the foot of man will no longer disturb them, and the hoof of cattle will no longer trouble them.	13 E ucciderò tutti i suoi giumenti, li quali erano sopra molte acque; e lo piede dell' uomo non le turberà più, nè l' unghia delli giumenti.
14 Then I will cause their waters to be very pure, and their rivers to be like oil, says the Lord God,	14 Allora io farò l' acque [loro] purissime, e li loro fiumi farò come l' olio, dice lo Signore Iddio,
15 when I will have set the land of Egypt in desolation. And the land will be deprived of her plenitude, when I will have struck all its inhabitants. And they shall know that I am the Lord.	15 quando io averò fatta la terra d' Egitto desolata; e la terra sarà abbandonata dalla sua plenitudine, quando io averò percossi tutti i suoi abitatori; e sapranno ch' io sono Iddio Signore.
16 This is the lamentation. And they shall lament it. The daughters of the Gentiles shall lament it. They shall lament it over Egypt and over its multitude, says the Lord God.”	16 Pianto è, e piagneranno lui; e piagneranno le figliuole delle genti, e piagneranno sopra Egitto e sopra la sua moltitudine, dice lo Signore Iddio.
17 And it happened that, in the twelfth year, on the fifteenth of the month, the word of the Lord came to me saying:	17 E disse Iddio a me nel duodecimo anno, nel XV dì del mese:
18 “Son of man, sing mournfully over the multitude of Egypt. And cast her down, both her and the daughters of the robust nations, to the lowest part of the earth, with those who descend into the pit.	18 O figliuolo d' uomo, canta lo verso istrazievole sopra la moltitudine d' Egitto, e biàsimala lei e le figliuole delle genti robuste, alla terra ultima, con quelli che iscendono nello lago (cioè nello inferno).
19 Whom do you exceed in beauty? Descend and sleep with the uncircumcised!	19 Quanto più bello sei? discendi, e dormi colli incirconcisi.
20 They will fall by the sword in the midst of the slain. The sword has been given. They have dragged her down, with all her people.	20 Nel mezzo delli morti cadranno di coltello; lo coltello è dato; e tirarono lei e tutti i suoi popoli.
21 The most powerful among the strong will speak to him from the midst of hell, those who descended with his helpers and who went to sleep uncircumcised, slain by the sword.	21 Parleranno a lei li potentissimi tra li robusti del mezzo dello inferno, li quali discesono colli suoi aiutatori, e incirconcisi dormirono, morti di coltello.
22 Assur is in that place, with all his multitude. Their graves are all around him: all of the slain and those who fell by the sword.	22 Assur è ivi, e tutta la sua moltitudine; nel circuito suo sono li sepolcri loro; tutti li morti, e quelli che caddono di coltello.
23 Their graves have been placed in the lowest parts of the pit. And his multitude was stationed on all sides of his grave: all of the slain, and those who fell by the sword, who formerly spread terror in the land of the living.	23 Li sepolcri de' quali sono dati a' novissimi luoghi dello lago (cioè dello inferno); e la sua moltitudine fu fatta per lo circuito dello sepolcro suo; tutti li morti, cadenti di coltello, i quali aveano data la sua fortezza nella terra de' viventi.
24 Elam is in that place, with all his multitude, on all sides of his grave, all those who were slain or who fell by the sword, who descended uncircumcised to the lowest part of the earth, who caused their terror in the land of the living. And they have borne their disgrace, with those who descend into the pit.	24 Quivi è Elam, e tutta la sua moltitudine per lo giro del suo sepolcro; tutti questi morti, e cadenti di coltello, i quali discesono incirconcisi alla terra ultima; i quali puosono il loro ispaventamento nella terra de' viventi, e portarono la loro vergogna con quelli che discesono nello lago (cioè nello inferno).
25 They have appointed him a place to lie among all his people, in the midst of the slain. Their graves are all around him. All these are uncircumcised and were slain by the sword. For they spread their terror in the land of the living, and they have borne their disgrace, with those who descend into the pit. They have been stationed in the midst of the slain.	25 Puosono lo suo letto nel mezzo delli morti in tutti li [suoi] popoli; nel suo circuito fue lo suo sepolcro; tutti questi incirconcisi morti, e li cadenti di coltello; diedono spaventamento nella terra de'viventi, e portarono la loro vergogna con quelli che discesono nello lago; e sono posti nel mezzo de' morti.
26 Meshech and Tubal are in that place, with all their multitude. Their graves are all around him: all these are uncircumcised, and they were slain and fell by the sword. For they spread their terror in the land of the living.	26 Ivi è Mosoc (cioè una terra) e Tubal (cioè un' altra terra) e tutta la sua moltitudine; nel suo circuito puosono i loro sepolcri; tutti questi incirconcisi e morti e che cadeano di coltello, però che diedono la paura loro nella terra de' viventi; (cioè questo, che si dice ultima terra, si è la morte dello inferno; però che non si trova niuna terra poi; e questi che si dicono i morti e cadenti di coltello, per li morti s' intendono i morti della sua morte, e quelli che cadono di coltello s' intendono i morti di coltello).
27 But they shall not sleep with the strong, and with those who also fell uncircumcised, who descended to hell with their weapons, and who placed their swords under their heads, while their iniquities were in their bones. For they were the terror of the strong in the land of the living.	27 E non dormiranno colli (morti) forti e colli cadenti e colli incirconcisi, i quali discesono nello inferno colle loro armi, e puosono i loro coltelli sotto i loro capi, e le loro iniquitadi sì furono nelle loro ossa, però che furono fatti ispavento de' forti nella terra de' viventi.
28 Therefore, you also will be broken in the midst of the uncircumcised, and you will sleep with those who were slain by the sword.	28 Adunque e tu sarai ispezzato nel mezzo delli incirconcisi, e dormirai colli morti di coltello (che dormirono colli incirconcisi).
29 Idumea is in that place, with her kings and all her commanders, who with their army have been given to those who were slain by the sword. And they have slept with the uncircumcised and with those who descend into the pit.	29 Quivi è Idumea e li suoi re e tutti i suoi duchi, i quali sono posti collo suo esèrcito colli morti di coltello, e che dormirono colli incirconcisi e con quelli che discesono nello lago (cioè nello inferno).
30 All the leaders of the north are in that place, with all the hunters, who were brought down with the slain, fearful and confounded in their strength, who have gone to sleep uncircumcised, with those who were slain by the sword. And they have borne their disgrace, with those who descend into the pit.	30 Quivi tutti li principi d' aquilone, e tutti li universi cacciatori, i quali furono (tutti) menati colli morti, tementi e confusi nella sua fortezza; i quali dormirono (colli) incirconcisi (e) colli morti di coltello, e portarono la loro confusione con quelli che discenderono nello lago (cioè nello inferno).
31 Pharaoh saw them, and he was consoled over all his multitude, which was slain by the sword, even Pharaoh and all his army, says the Lord God.	31 E Faraone li vide, e fu consolato sopra la universa moltitudine sua, la quale fue morta di coltello; Faraone e tutto lo suo esercito, disse lo Signore Iddio;
32 For I have spread my terror in the land of the living, and he has gone to sleep in the midst of the uncircumcised, with those who were slain by the sword, even Pharaoh and all his multitude, says the Lord God.”	32 però che diede lo suo spaventamento nella terra de' viventi; e dormie nel mezzo delli incirconcisi colli morti di coltello, Faracne e tutta la sua moltitudine, dice lo Signore Iddio.
