Leviticus 24

1 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:	1 Il Signore disse a Mosè:
2 Instruct the sons of Israel, so that they may bring to you clear oil from the purest olives, in order to supply the lamps continuously	2 "Ordina ai figli d'Israele che ti portino olio puro di olive macinate per la lampada, per farne salire una fiamma permanente.
3 outside the veil of the testimony in the tabernacle of the covenant. And Aaron shall place these, from evening until morning, before the Lord, as a perpetual worship and ritual in your generations.	3 Aronne la disponga nella tenda del convegno, fuori del velo della testimonianza; sarà sempre davanti al Signore, dalla sera fino al mattino: legge eterna per tutte le vostre generazioni.
4 They shall be placed upon the most pure candlestick in the sight of the Lord always.	4 Disporrà le lampade sopra il candelabro d'oro puro: siano davanti al Signore sempre.
5 You shall also receive fine wheat flour, and you shall bake twelve loaves from it, each loaf of which shall have two-tenths.	5 Prenderai del fior di farina e cuocerai dodici focacce di due decimi di efa ciascuna.
6 And you shall arrange them, six on each side, upon the most pure table before the Lord.	6 Le metterai in due pile, sei per ogni pila, sul tavolo d'oro puro davanti al Signore.
7 And you shall place upon them the clearest frankincense, so that the bread may be a memorial of oblation for the Lord.	7 Su ciascuna pila metterai incenso puro e sarà sul pane come un memoriale, dono per il Signore.
8 On each Sabbath, they shall be changed before the Lord, having been received from the sons of Israel as an everlasting covenant.	8 Ogni giorno di sabato lo si disporrà davanti al Signore, sempre. Sarà offerto dai figli d'Israele come patto eterno.
9 And they shall be for Aaron and his sons, so that they may eat these in the holy place; for it is the Holy of holies from the sacrifices of the Lord, as a perpetual right.	9 Apparterrà ad Aronne e ai suoi figli, che lo mangeranno in luogo sacro, perché è cosa sacrosanta per lui fra i doni offerti al Signore. Legge eterna!".
10 Then, behold, the son of an Israelite woman, whom she had born of an Egyptian man among the sons of Israel, going out, was quarreling in the camp with a man of Israel.	10 Il figlio di una donna israelita e di un egiziano uscì in mezzo ai figli d'Israele, e il figlio della donna israelita e un uomo israelita vennero a diverbio nell'accampamento.
11 And when he had blasphemed the name, and had cursed it, he was led to Moses. (Now his mother was called Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri from the tribe of Dan.)	11 Il figlio della donna israelita bestemmiò il Nome e lo maledisse. Allora lo portarono davanti a Mosè. Il nome della madre era Selòmit, figlia di Dibri della tribù di Dan.
12 And they sent him to prison, until they might know what the Lord would command,	12 Lo misero sotto custodia, per decidere secondo l'oracolo del Signore.
13 who spoke to Moses,	13 Il Signore ordinò a Mosè:
14 saying: Lead away the blasphemer beyond the camp, and let all who heard him place their hands upon his head, and let the entire people stone him.	14 "Fa' uscire il bestemmiatore fuori del campo; coloro che lo hanno udito mettano le loro mani sulla sua testa e tutta la comunità lo lapidi.
15 And you shall say to the sons of Israel: The man who curses his God shall bear his sin,	15 Ai figli d'Israele dirai: "Chiunque maledice il suo Dio porterà il peso del suo peccato.
16 and whoever will have blasphemed the name of the Lord shall be put to death. The entire multitude shall overwhelm him with stones, whether he be a citizen or a sojourner. Whoever blasphemes the name of the Lord shall be put to death.	16 Chi bestemmia il nome del Signore sia messo a morte; lo lapidi tutta la comunità. Sia straniero che nativo, se maledirà il Nome, sarà messo a morte".
17 Whoever will have struck and killed a man shall be put to death.	17 Se un uomo colpisce un essere umano sia messo a morte.
18 Whoever will have struck down an animal shall repay its equivalent, that is, a life for a life.	18 Chi colpisce un animale ne darà un risarcimento: vita per vita.
19 Whoever will have inflicted a blemish on any of his citizens, just as he has done, so shall it be done to him:	19 Se un uomo ha inflitto una mutilazione a un suo compatriota, come ha fatto così gli venga fatto:
20 fracture for fracture, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, shall he repay. Whatever degree of blemish he has inflicted, so shall he be compelled to suffer.	20 frattura per frattura, occhio per occhio, dente per dente; come egli ha inflitto una mutilazione a qualcuno, così la si infligga a lui.
21 Whoever strikes down a beast, shall repay another. Whoever strikes a man shall be punished.	21 Chi colpisce un animale, ne darà un risarcimento, e chi colpisce un uomo sarà messo a morte.
22 Let there be equal judgment among you, whether it is a sojourner or a citizen who will have sinned. For I am the Lord your God.	22 La sentenza sarà unica presso di voi, sia che si tratti di uno straniero o di un nativo. Io sono il Signore Dio vostro".
23 And Moses spoke to the sons of Israel. And they led away him who had blasphemed, beyond the camp, and they overwhelmed him with stones. And the sons of Israel did just as the Lord had instructed Moses.	23 Mosè parlò ai figli d'Israele ed essi fecero uscire il bestemmiatore fuori del campo e lo lapidarono. I figli d'Israele fecero come aveva comandato il Signore a Mosè.
