Leviticus 24

1 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:	1 Il Signore disse ancora a Mosè:
2 Instruct the sons of Israel, so that they may bring to you clear oil from the purest olives, in order to supply the lamps continuously	2 "Ordina agli Israeliti che ti portino olio puro di olive schiacciate per il candelabro, per tenere le lampade sempre accese.
3 outside the veil of the testimony in the tabernacle of the covenant. And Aaron shall place these, from evening until morning, before the Lord, as a perpetual worship and ritual in your generations.	3 Aronne lo preparerà nella tenda del convegno, fuori del velo che sta davanti alla testimonianza, perché le lampade ardano sempre, da sera a mattina, davanti al Signore. È una legge perenne, di generazione in generazione.
4 They shall be placed upon the most pure candlestick in the sight of the Lord always.	4 Egli le disporrà sul candelabro d'oro puro, perché ardano sempre davanti al Signore.
5 You shall also receive fine wheat flour, and you shall bake twelve loaves from it, each loaf of which shall have two-tenths.	5 Prenderai anche fior di farina e ne farai cuocere dodici focacce; ogni focaccia sarà di due decimi di 'efa'.
6 And you shall arrange them, six on each side, upon the most pure table before the Lord.	6 Le disporrai su due pile, sei per pila, sulla tavola d'oro puro davanti al Signore.
7 And you shall place upon them the clearest frankincense, so that the bread may be a memorial of oblation for the Lord.	7 Porrai incenso puro sopra ogni pila e sarà sul pane come memoriale, come sacrificio espiatorio consumato dal fuoco in onore del Signore.
8 On each Sabbath, they shall be changed before the Lord, having been received from the sons of Israel as an everlasting covenant.	8 Ogni giorno di sabato si disporranno i pani davanti al Signore sempre; saranno forniti dagli Israeliti; è alleanza.
9 And they shall be for Aaron and his sons, so that they may eat these in the holy place; for it is the Holy of holies from the sacrifices of the Lord, as a perpetual right.	9 I pani saranno riservati ad Aronne e ai suoi figli: essi li mangeranno in luogo santo; perché saranno per loro cosa santissima tra i sacrifici in onore del Signore. È una legge perenne".
10 Then, behold, the son of an Israelite woman, whom she had born of an Egyptian man among the sons of Israel, going out, was quarreling in the camp with a man of Israel.	10 Ora il figlio di una donna israelita e di un egiziano uscì in mezzo agli Israeliti; nell'accampamento, fra questo figlio della donna israelita e un israelita, scoppiò una lite.
11 And when he had blasphemed the name, and had cursed it, he was led to Moses. (Now his mother was called Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri from the tribe of Dan.)	11 Il figlio della Israelita bestemmiò il nome del Signore, imprecando; perciò fu condotto da Mosè. La madre di quel tale si chiamava Selòmit, figlia di Dibri, della tribù di Dan.
12 And they sent him to prison, until they might know what the Lord would command,	12 Lo misero sotto sorveglianza, finché fosse deciso che cosa fare per ordine del Signore.
13 who spoke to Moses,	13 Il Signore parlò a Mosè:
14 saying: Lead away the blasphemer beyond the camp, and let all who heard him place their hands upon his head, and let the entire people stone him.	14 "Conduci quel bestemmiatore fuori dell'accampamento; quanti lo hanno udito posino le mani sul suo capo e tutta la comunità lo lapiderà.
15 And you shall say to the sons of Israel: The man who curses his God shall bear his sin,	15 Parla agli Israeliti e di' loro: Chiunque maledirà il suo Dio, porterà la pena del suo peccato.
16 and whoever will have blasphemed the name of the Lord shall be put to death. The entire multitude shall overwhelm him with stones, whether he be a citizen or a sojourner. Whoever blasphemes the name of the Lord shall be put to death.	16 Chi bestemmia il nome del Signore dovrà essere messo a morte: tutta la comunità lo dovrà lapidare. Straniero o nativo del paese, se ha bestemmiato il nome del Signore, sarà messo a morte.
17 Whoever will have struck and killed a man shall be put to death.	17 Chi percuote a morte un uomo dovrà essere messo a morte.
18 Whoever will have struck down an animal shall repay its equivalent, that is, a life for a life.	18 Chi percuote a morte un capo di bestiame lo pagherà: vita per vita.
19 Whoever will have inflicted a blemish on any of his citizens, just as he has done, so shall it be done to him:	19 Se uno farà una lesione al suo prossimo, si farà a lui come egli ha fatto all'altro:
20 fracture for fracture, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, shall he repay. Whatever degree of blemish he has inflicted, so shall he be compelled to suffer.	20 frattura per frattura, occhio per occhio, dente per dente; gli si farà la stessa lesione che egli ha fatta all'altro.
21 Whoever strikes down a beast, shall repay another. Whoever strikes a man shall be punished.	21 Chi uccide un capo di bestiame lo pagherà; ma chi uccide un uomo sarà messo a morte.
22 Let there be equal judgment among you, whether it is a sojourner or a citizen who will have sinned. For I am the Lord your God.	22 Ci sarà per voi una sola legge per il forestiero e per il cittadino del paese; poiché io sono il Signore vostro Dio".
23 And Moses spoke to the sons of Israel. And they led away him who had blasphemed, beyond the camp, and they overwhelmed him with stones. And the sons of Israel did just as the Lord had instructed Moses.	23 Mosè ne riferì agli Israeliti ed essi condussero quel bestemmiatore fuori dell'accampamento e lo lapidarono. Così gli Israeliti eseguirono quello che il Signore aveva ordinato a Mosè.
