Psalms 63

1 Unto the end. A Psalm of David.	1 In fine, salmo di David.
2 Hear, O God, my prayer of supplication. Rescue my soul from the fear of the enemy.	2 Esaudi, Iddio, la mia orazione, quando ti priego; dal timore del nemico libera l' anima mia.
3 You have protected me from the assembly of the malignant, from a multitude of workers of iniquity.	3 Me defendesti dal convento de' malignanti; dalla moltitudine delli iniqui operanti.
4 For they have sharpened their tongues like a sword; they have formed their bow into a bitter thing,	4 Perchè aguzzorono loro lingue, come coltello; tesero l'arco, come cosa amara,
5 so that they may shoot arrows from hiding at the immaculate.	5 per che da nascosto sagittassero l' immaculato.
6 They will suddenly shoot arrows at him, and they will not be afraid. They are resolute in their wicked talk. They have discussed hidden snares. They have said, “Who will see them?”	6 Sagitteranno quello incontanente, e non temeranno; a sè hanno fermato il parlare iniquo. Raccontorono di nascondere li lacciuoli; dissero: chi li vederà?
7 They have been searching carefully for iniquities. Their exhaustive search has failed. Man will approach with a deep heart,	7 Ricercorono le iniquità; vennero meno nel loro cercare. Ascenda l'uomo all' alto cuore;
8 and God will be exalted. The arrows of the little ones have become their wounds,	8 e sarà esaltato Iddio.Le sagitte de' piccolini sono fatte loro piaghe;
9 and their tongues have been weakened against them. All those who saw them have been troubled;	9 e contra loro sono firmate le loro lingue. Conturboronsi tutti che li vedevano,
10 and every man was afraid. And they announced the works of God, and they understood his acts.	10 e tutto uomo temette. E raccontorono le opere di Dio; e' suoi fatti intesero.
11 The just will rejoice in the Lord, and they will hope in him. And all the upright of heart will be praised.	11 Rallegrarassi il giusto nel Signore, e in lui sperarà; e saranno laudati li dritti di cuore.
