Psalms 125

1 A Canticle in steps. When the Lord turned back the captivity of Zion, we became like those who are consoled.	1 - Cantico de' gradini. Quando il Signore ricondusse gli esuli di Sion, eravamo come trasognati.
2 Then our mouth was filled with gladness and our tongue with exultation. Then they will say among the nations: “The Lord has done great things for them.”	2 Allora fu ripiena [d'un sorriso] di gioia la nostra boccae la lingua nostra di giubilo. Allora si diceva tra le genti:«Grandi cose ha fatto il Signore per essi!».
3 The Lord has done great things for us. We have become joyful.	3 [Sì], grandi cose ha fatto il Signore per noi; noi siamo in esultanza.
4 Convert our captivity, O Lord, like a torrent in the south.	4 Riconduci, o Signore, i nostri esulicome un torrente nel mezzogiorno.
5 Those who sow in tears shall reap in exultation.	5 Quei che seminan tra le lacrime, nel giubilo mieteranno.
6 When departing, they went forth and wept, sowing their seeds.	6 Andavano, andavano e piangevano, spargendo il loro seme: vengono ora, vengono nel giubilo, portando i loro covoni.
7 But when returning, they will arrive with exultation, carrying their sheaves.
