NEW JERUSALEM	Biblia Matos Soares
1 A message. The word of Yahweh to Israel through Malachi.	1 Oráculo. Palavra do Senhor contra Israel, por intermédio de Malaquias.
2 'I have loved you, says Yahweh. But you ask, "How have you shown your love?" Was not Esau Jacob'sbrother? declares Yahweh; even so, I loved Jacob	2 Eu vos amei, diz o Senhor. Entretanto dizeis: Em que nos amaste? — Porventura não era Esaú irmão de Jacob? — diz o Senhor? Contudo amei Jacob
3 but I hated Esau. I turned his mountains into a desert and his heritage into dwellings in the wastelands.	3 e aborreci Esaú, reduzi os seus montes a uma solidão e deixei a sua herança aos chacais do deserto.
4 If Edom says, "We have been struck down but we shall rebuild our ruins," Yahweh Sabaoth says this,"Let them build, but I shal pul down! They wil be known as Land of Wickedness and Nation-with-which-Yahweh-is-angry-for-ever.	4 Se a Idumeia disser: Fomos destruídos, mas voltaremos para edificar o que foi destruído — isto diz o Senhor dos exércitos: Eles edificarão, e eu destruirei; serão chamados país de impiedade, povo contra o qual se irou o Senhor para sempre.
5 You wil see this yourselves and you wil say: Yahweh is mighty beyond the borders of Israel."	5 Os vossos olhos o verão e vós direis: Glorificado seja o Senhor, mesmo para além da terra de Israel.
6 'The son honours his father, the slave stands in awe of his master. But if I am indeed father, where isthe honour due to me? And if I am indeed master, where is the awe due to me? says Yahweh Sabaoth to youpriests who despise my name. You ask, "How have we despised your name?"	6 O filho honra seu pai, e o servo o seu senhor. Se eu, pois, sou vosso pai, onde está a minha honra? E se eu sou vosso Senhor, onde está o temor que se me deve? — diz o Senhor dos exércitos. A vós, sacerdotes, (é isto dirigido, a vós) que desprezais o meu nome e que dizeis; Em que desprezamos o teu nome?
7 By putting pol uted food on my altar. You ask, "How have we polluted you?" By saying, "The table ofYahweh deserves no respect."	7 (Nisto:) Ofereceis sobre o meu altar um pão imundo. Também dizeis: Em que te profanamos? — Nisso que dizeis: A mesa do Senhor é desprezível.
8 When you bring blind animals for sacrifice, is this not wrong? When you bring the lame and thediseased, is this not wrong? If you offer them to your governor, see if he is pleased with them or receives yougraciously, says Yahweh Sabaoth.	8 Se ofereceis um (animal) cego para ser imolado, não é isto mau? E se ofereceis um coxo e doente, não é isto mau? Oferece (isso) ao teu governador e verás se lhe agradará, se te receberá com agrado, diz o Senhor dos exércitos.
9 In that case, try pleading with God to take pity on us (that is what you have done), and wil he take anynotice? says Yahweh Sabaoth.	9 E agora rogais a Deus que se compadeça de vós! Tudo isto foi feito por vossas mãos. (Regias circunstâncias) receber-vos-á favoravelmente?— diz o Senhor dos exércitos.
10 Why does one of you not close the doors and so stop the pointless lighting of fires on my altar? I amnot pleased with you, says Yahweh Sabaoth; from your hands I find no offerings acceptable.	10 Quem há entre vós que feche as portas, para que se não acenda o lume inutilmente sobre o meu altar? O meu afecto não está em vós, diz o Senhor dos exércitos, nem aceitarei oferenda alguma da vossa mão.
11 But from farthest east to farthest west my name is great among the nations, and everywhere incenseand a pure gift are offered to my name, since my name is great among the nations, says Yahweh Sabaoth.	11 Desde o nascente ao poente, o meu nome é grande entre as nações, e em todo o lugar se oferece ao meu nome um sacrifício fumegante e uma oblação pura, porque o meu nome é grande entre as nações, diz o Senhor dos exércitos.
12 'But you have profaned it by saying, "The table of the Lord is pol uted, hence the food offered on itdeserves no respect."	12 Entretanto vós o profanais, dizendo: A mesa do Senhor está contaminada; e aquilo que se oferece em cima dela é alimento desprezível.
13 You say, "How tiresome it al is!" and sniff disdainful y at me, says Yahweh Sabaoth. You bring astolen, lame or diseased animal, you bring that as an offering! Am I to accept this from you? says YahwehSabaoth.	13 Dizeis ainda: Ai, que fastio! — e só mostrais desprezo pelo altar — diz o Senhor dos exércitos. Trazeis o animal roubado, o coxo, o doente, como oferta para mim. Julgais que receberei um tal presente da vossa mão? — diz o Senhor.
14 Cursed be the rogue who has a male in his flock but pays his vow by sacrificing a blemished animal tome! For I am a great king, says Yahweh Sabaoth, and among the nations my name inspires awe.'	14 Maldito seja o homem enganador, que tem no seu rebanho um animal masculino (e são) do qual fez voto ao Senhor, e lhe sacrifica um doente. Porque eu sou o grande Rei, diz o Senhor dos exércitos, e o meu nome é temido entre as nações.
