Ephesians 6

1 Children, obey your parents (in the Lord), for this is right.	1 Hijos, obedeced a vuestros padres en el Señor, porque eso es justo.
2 "Honor your father and mother." This is the first commandment with a promise,	2 Honra a tu padre y a tu madre es el primer mandamiento al que se añade una promesa:
3 "that it may go well with you and that you may have a long life on earth."	3 Te irá bien y vivirás largo tiempo en la tierra.
4 Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up with the training and instruction of the Lord.	4 Padres, no exasperéis a vuestros hijos; criadlos educándolos y corrigiéndolos según el Señor.
5 Slaves, be obedient to your human masters with fear and trembling, in sincerity of heart, as to Christ,	5 Esclavos, obedeced a vuestros amos de la tierra con respeto y temor, con la sencillez de vuestro corazón, como a Cristo.
6 not only when being watched, as currying favor, but as slaves of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart,	6 No por las apariencias, para quedar bien ante los hombres, sino como esclavos de Cristo que hacen, de corazón, lo que Dios quiere,
7 willingly serving the Lord and not human beings,	7 de buena gana, como quien sirve al Señor y no a hombres.
8 knowing that each will be requited from the Lord for whatever good he does, whether he is slave or free.	8 Sabed que lo que uno haga de bueno, sea esclavo o libre, se lo pagará el Señor.
9 Masters, act in the same way toward them, and stop bullying, knowing that both they and you have a Master in heaven and that with him there is no partiality.	9 Amos, comportaos también vosotros del mismo modo, dejándoos de amenazas; sabéis que ellos y vosotros tenéis un amo en el cielo y que ese no es parcial con nadie.
10 Finally, draw your strength from the Lord and from his mighty power.	10 Por lo demás, buscad vuestra fuerza en el Señor y en su invencible poder.
11 Put on the armor of God so that you may be able to stand firm against the tactics of the devil.	11 Poneos las armas de Dios, para poder afrontar las asechanzas del diablo,
12 For our struggle is not with flesh and blood but with the principalities, with the powers, with the world rulers of this present darkness, with the evil spirits in the heavens.	12 porque nuestra lucha no es contra hombres de carne y hueso sino contra los principados, contra las potestades, contra los dominadores de este mundo de tinieblas, contra los espíritus malignos del aire.
13 Therefore, put on the armor of God, that you may be able to resist on the evil day and, having done everything, to hold your ground.	13 Por eso, tomad las armas de Dios para poder resistir en el día malo y manteneros firmes después de haber superado todas las pruebas.
14 So stand fast with your loins girded in truth, clothed with righteousness as a breastplate,	14 Estad firmes; ceñid la cintura con la verdad, y revestid la coraza de la justicia;
15 and your feet shod in readiness for the gospel of peace.	15 calzad los pies con la prontitud para el evangelio de la paz.
16 In all circumstances, hold faith as a shield, to quench all (the) flaming arrows of the evil one.	16 Embrazad el escudo de la fe, donde se apagarán las flechas incendiarias del maligno.
17 And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.	17 Poneos el casco de la salvación y empuñad la espada del Espíritu que es la palabra de Dios.
18 With all prayer and supplication, pray at every opportunity in the Spirit. To that end, be watchful with all perseverance and supplication for all the holy ones	18 Siempre en oración y súplica, orad en toda ocasión en el Espíritu, velando juntos con constancia, y suplicando por todos los santos.
19 and also for me, that speech may be given me to open my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel	19 Pedid también por mí, para que cuando abra mi boca, se me conceda el don de la palabra, y anuncie con valentía el misterio del Evangelio,
20 for which I am an ambassador in chains, so that I may have the courage to speak as I must.	20 del que soy embajador en cadenas, y tenga valor para hablar de él como debo.
21 So that you also may have news of me and of what I am doing, Tychicus, my beloved brother and trustworthy minister in the Lord, will tell you everything.	21 Tíquico, hermano querido y ministro fiel del Señor, os informará de todo para que sepáis cómo me va y lo que hago.
22 I am sending him to you for this very purpose, so that you may know about us and that he may encourage your hearts.	22 Para ello os lo envío, para que tengáis noticias mías y para que os dé ánimos.
23 Peace be to the brothers, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.	23 A los hermanos, paz, amor y fe de parte de Dios Padre y del Señor Jesucristo.
24 Grace be with all who love our Lord Jesus Christ in immortality.	24 La gracia para todos los que aman al Señor Jesucristo con amor incorruptible.
