Isaiah 2

1 This is what Isaiah, son of Amoz, saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.	1 Palabra que Isaías, hijo de Amós, recibió en una visión, acerca de Judá y de Jerusalén:
2 In days to come, The mountain of the LORD'S house shall be established as the highest mountain and raised above the hills. All nations shall stream toward it;	2 Sucederá al fin de los tiempos que la montaña de la Casa del Señor será afianzada sobre la cumbre de las montañas y se elevará por encima de las colinas. Todas las naciones afluirán hacia ella
3 many peoples shall come and say: "Come, let us climb the LORD'S mountain, to the house of the God of Jacob, That he may instruct us in his ways, and we may walk in his paths." For from Zion shall go forth instruction, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.	3 y acudirán pueblos numerosos, que dirán; ¡Vengan, subamos a la montaña del Señor, a la Casa del Dios de Jacob! El nos instruirá en sus caminos y caminaremos por sus sendas». Porque de Sión saldrá la Ley y de Jerusalén, la palabra del Señor.
4 He shall judge between the nations, and impose terms on many peoples. They shall beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks; One nation shall not raise the sword against another, nor shall they train for war again.	4 El será juez entre las naciones y árbitro de pueblos numerosos Con sus espadas forjarán arados y podaderas con sus lanzas. No levantará la espada una nación contra otra ni se adiestrarán más para la guerra.
5 O house of Jacob, come, let us walk in the light of the LORD!	5 ¡Ven, casa de Jacob, y caminemos a la luz del Señor!
6 You have abandoned your people, the house of Jacob, Because they are filled with fortunetellers and soothsayers, like the Philistines; they covenant with strangers.	6 Sí, tú has desechado a tu pueblo a la casa de Jacob. porque están llenos de adivinos de Oriente, de astrólogos, como los filisteos, y estrechan la mano de los extranjeros.
7 Their land is full of silver and gold, and there is no end to their treasures; Their land is full of horses, and there is no end to their chariots.	7 Su país está lleno de plata y oro y sus tesoros no tienen fin. Su país está lleno de caballos y sus carros de guerra no tienen fin.
8 Their land is full of idols; they worship the works of their hands, that which their fingers have made.	8 Su país está lleno de ídolos; ellos se postran ante la obra de sus manos, ante lo que fabricaron sus propios dedos.
9 But man is abased, each one brought low. (Do not pardon them!)	9 El hombre será doblegado y el mortal, humillado –tú no podrías perdonarlos –
10 Get behind the rocks, hide in the dust, From the terror of the LORD and the splendor of his majesty!	10 ¡Entra en la roca y escóndete en el polvo, lejos del Terror del Señor y del esplendor de su majestad!
11 The haughty eyes of man will be lowered, the arrogance of men will be abased, and the LORD alone will be exalted, on that day.	11 La mirada altanera del hombre será humillada, la arrogancia humana será abatida. y sólo el Señor será exaltado en aquel día.
12 For the LORD of hosts will have his day against all that is proud and arrogant, all that is high, and it will be brought low;	12 Porque habrá un día para el Señor de los ejércitos contra todo lo arrogante y altanero, contra todo lo alto y encumbrado,
13 Yes, against all the cedars of Lebanon and all the oaks of Bashan,	13 contra todos los cedros del Líbano, altaneros y elevados, contra todas las encinas de Basán
14 Against all the lofty mountains and all the high hills,	14 contra todas las montañas altivas, contra todas las colinas encumbradas,
15 Against every lofty tower and every fortified wall,	15 contra todas las altas torres, contra todo muro fortificado,
16 Against all the ships of Tarshish and all stately vessels.	16 contra todas las naves de Tarsis, contra todos los barcos suntuosos.
17 Human pride will be abased, the arrogance of men brought low, And the LORD alone will be exalted, on that day.	17 El orgullo del hombre será humillado, la arrogancia humana será abatida, y sólo el Señor será exaltado en aquel día,
18 The idols will perish forever.	18 y hasta el último de los ídolos desaparecerá.
19 Men will go into caves in the rocks and into holes in the earth, From the terror of the LORD and the splendor of his majesty, when he arises to overawe the earth.	19 ¡Entren en las cavernas de las rocas y en las cuevas del suelo. lejos del Terror del Señor y del esplendor de su majestad, cuando él se levante para llenar la tierra de espanto!
20 On that day men will throw to the moles and the bats the idols of silver and gold which they made for worship.	20 Aquel día, el hombre arrojará a los topos y a los murciélagos los ídolos de plata y los ídolos de oro que se había fabricado para adorarlos,
21 They go into caverns in the rocks and into crevices in the cliffs, From the terror of the LORD and the splendor of his majesty, when he arises to overawe the earth.	21 y se meterá en las hendiduras de las rocas y en las grietas de los peñascos, lejos del Terror del Señor y del esplendor de su majestad, cuando él se levante para llenar la tierra de espanto.
22 As for you, let man alone, in whose nostrils is but a breath; for what is he worth?	22 ¡Dejen entonces al hombre que sólo tiene aliento en sus narices! ¿En qué se lo puede estimar?
