Job 27

	1 Aggiunse ancora Iob, pigliante la sua parola, e disse:
2 As God lives, who withholds my deserts, the Almighty, who has made bitter my soul,	2 Vive Iddio, il quale tolse lo mio giudicio, e l' Onnipotente, lo quale addusse all' amaritudine l' anima mia.
3 So long as I still have life in me and the breath of God is in my nostrils,	3 Chè insino che sarà alito in me, e lo spirito di Dio nelle nari mie,
4 My lips shall not speak falsehood, nor my tongue utter deceit!	4 non favelleranno li labbri miei iniquitadi, nè la lingua mia dirà bugia.
5 Far be it from me to account you right; till I die I will not renounce my innocence.	5 Partasi da me, ch' io giudichi che voi siate giusti; insino ch' io verroe meno, non mi partiroe dalla mia innocenza.
6 My justice I maintain and I will not relinquish it; my heart does not reproach me for any of my days.	6 E non lasceroe la giustificazione mia, la quale incominciai a tenere; e nè certo non riprenderae me lo mio cuore in tutta la vita mia.
7 Let my enemy be as the wicked and my adversary as the unjust!	7 Sia come malvagio [lo] nimico mio, e lo mio avversario quasi reo.
8 For what can the impious man expect when he is cut off, when God requires his life?	8 Adunque quale è la speranza dello ipocrita, se avaramente rapirà, e non liberi Iddio l'anima sua?
9 Will God then attend to his cry when calamity comes upon him?	9 Or (non) udirae Dio lo suo chiamare, quando verrae sopra lui l'angoscia?
10 Will he then delight in the Almighty and call upon him constantly?	10 Ovvero potrassi nello Onnipotente dilettare, e chiamare Iddio in ogni tempo?
11 I will teach you the manner of God's dealings, and the way of the Almighty I will not conceal.	11 Insegneroe a voi, per la mano di Dio, quelle cose che l' Onnipotente hae, nè non le nasconderoe.
12 Behold, you yourselves have all seen it; why then do you spend yourselves in idle words!	12 Ecco, tutti voi avete conosciuto; e chè favellate senza cagione le vane cose?
13 This is the portion of a wicked man from God, the inheritance an oppressor receives from the Almighty:	13 Questa è la parte dell' uomo malvagio apro Dio, e la ereditade delli sforzatori, la quale riceveranno dall' Onnipotente.
14 Though his children be many, the sword is their destiny. His offspring shall not be filled with bread.	14 Se moltiplicati saranno li figliuoli suoi, nello coltello saranno; e li nepoti suoi non si sazieranno del pane.
15 His survivors, when they die, shall have no burial, and their widows shall not be mourned.	15 E tutti gli altri che rimarranno di lui, saranno seppelliti nella morte; e le vedove sue non piagneranno.
16 Though he heap up silver like dust and store away mounds of clothing,	16 Se comporterà l'ariento quasi come terra, e sì come fango apparecchierà le vestimenta,
17 What he has stored the just man shall wear, and the innocent shall divide the silver.	17 [sì le apparecchierà], ma lo giusto sarà vestito di quelle; e lo innocente dividerà l'ariento.
18 He builds his house as of cobwebs, or like a booth put up by the vine-keeper.	18 Edificoe, sì come tignuola, la sua casa; e, sì come guardiano, fece l'ombra.
19 He lies down a rich man, one last time; he opens his eyes and nothing remains to him.	19 Lo ricco, quando morirà, niuna cosa ne porterà seco; aprirà gli occhi suoi, e niuna cosa. troverae.
20 Terrors rush upon him by day; at night the tempest carries him off.	20 E piglierà lui, quasi come acqua, la povertà; e di notte costrignerà lui la tempesta.
21 The storm wind seizes him and he disappears; it sweeps him out of his place.	21 Torrà lui lo vento ardente, e porterallo; ovvero, sì come turbamento, (turberae e) rapirae lui del suo luogo.
	22 E manderà sopra lui; e non perdonerà; della mano sua fuggente fuggirà.
	23 E strignerae sopra lui le sue mani; e zufolerae sopra lui, ragguardante lo suo luogo.
