2 Thou hast made the earth to tremble; thou hast broken it: heal the breaches thereof; for it shaketh.	2 Amikor kivonult Arám Naharaim és Arám Szóba ellen, és amikor Joáb visszatért és legyőzte Edomot a Sóaknás völgyben: tizenkétezret.
3 Thou hast shewed thy people hard things: thou hast made us to drink the wine of astonishment.	3 Isten, elvetettél és szerteszórtál minket, haragra gerjedtél, de térj vissza hozzánk!
4 Thou hast given a banner to them that fear thee, that it may be displayed because of the truth. Selah.	4 Megrendítetted az országot és összetörted, gyógyítsd meg sebeit, mert egyre remeg.
5 That thy beloved may be delivered; save with thy right hand, and hear me.	5 Kemény dolgokat mutattál népednek, kábító borral itattál minket.
6 God hath spoken in his holiness; I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem, and mete out the valley of Succoth.	6 Jelt adtál a téged félőknek, hogy az íjak elől megmeneküljenek.
7 Gilead is mine, and Manasseh is mine; Ephraim also is the strength of mine head; Judah is my lawgiver;	7 Hogy szeretteid megszabaduljanak, szabadíts meg jobboddal és hallgass meg minket!
8 Moab is my washpot; over Edom will I cast out my shoe: Philistia, triumph thou because of me.	8 Szent helyén így szól Isten: »Örvendezve kiosztom Szíchemet, kimérem Szukkót völgyét nektek.
9 Who will bring me into the strong city? who will lead me into Edom?	9 Enyém Gileád és enyém Manassze, és Efraim fejem sisakja. Júda az én jogaram,
10 Wilt not thou, O God, which hadst cast us off? and thou, O God, which didst not go out with our armies?	10 Moáb a tál, amelyben mosakszom. Edomra vetem sarumat, a filiszteusok hódolnak nekem.«
11 Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.	11 Ki visz el engem az erős városba? Ki vezet el engem Edomba?
12 Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.	12 Nemde te, Isten, bár elvetettél minket, te, Isten, bár nem vonultál ki seregeinkkel? Segíts ki minket a szorongatásból, mert hiábavaló az emberi segítség,
	13 de Istennel győzelmet aratunk, s ő eltapossa ellenségeinket.
