9 And the sons of Cush; Seba, and Havilah, and Sabta, and Raamah, and Sabtecha. And the sons of Raamah; Sheba, and Dedan.	9 Fils de Chus : Saba, et Hévila, Sabatha, et Regma, et Sabathacha. Fils de Regma : Saba et Dadan.
10 And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be mighty upon the earth.	10 Chus engendra Nemrod, et celui-ci commença à être puissant sur la terre.

18 And Arphaxad begat Shelah, and Shelah begat Eber.	18 Arphaxad engendra Salé, qui fut père d'Héber.
19 And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg; because in his days the earth was divided: and his brother's name was Joktan.	19 Héber eut deux fils, dont l'un fut nommé Phaleg, parce que la terre fut divisée de son temps, et le nom de son frère est Jectan.
20 And Joktan begat Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah,	20 Jectan engendra Elmodad, Saleph, Asarmoth, et Jaré,
21 Hadoram also, and Uzal, and Diklah,	21 avec Adoram, Husal et Décla,
22 And Ebal, and Abimael, and Sheba,	22 comme aussi Hébal, Abimaël et Saba,
23 And Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab. All these were the sons of Joktan.	23 et encore Ophir, Hévila, et Jobab : tous ceux-là étaient fils de Jectan.
24 Shem, Arphaxad, Shelah,	24 Sem engendra donc Arphaxad, Salé,
25 Eber, Peleg, Reu,	25 Héber, Phaleg, Ragaü,
26 Serug, Nahor, Terah,	26 Sérug, Nachor, Tharé,
27 Abram; the same is Abraham.	27 Abram; celui-ci est le même qu'Abraham.
28 The sons of Abraham; Isaac, and Ishmael.	28 Fils d'Abraham : Isaac et Ismaël.
29 These are their generations: The firstborn of Ishmael, Nebaioth; then Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam,	29 Et voici leur postérité. Ismaël eut Nabaïoth, l'aîné de tous, Cédar, Adbéel, Mabsam.
30 Mishma and Dumah, Massa, Hadad, and Tema,	30 Masma, Duma, Massa, Hadad, et Théma,
31 Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah. These are the sons of Ishmael.	31 Jétur, Naphis, Cedma; ce sont là les fils d'Ismaël.
32 Now the sons of Keturah, Abraham's concubine: she bare Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah. And the sons of Jokshan; Sheba, and Dedan.	32 Les fils qu'Abraham eut de sa seconde femme Cétura furent Zamran, Jecsan, Madan, Madian, Jesboc et Sué. Les fils de Jecsan furent Saba, et Dadan. Ceux de Dadan, Assurim, Latussim, et Laomim.
33 And the sons of Midian; Ephah, and Epher, and Henoch, and Abida, and Eldaah. All these are the sons of Keturah.	33 Les fils de Madian sont Epha, Epher, Hénoch, Abida, Eldaa. Tous ceux-là étaient enfants de Cétura.
34 And Abraham begat Isaac. The sons of Isaac; Esau and Israel.	34 Abraham engendra donc Isaac, qui eut deux fils, Esaü et Israël.
35 The sons of Esau; Eliphaz, Reuel, and Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah.	35 Fils d'Esaü : Eliphaz, Rahuel, Jéhus, Ihélom, et Coré.
36 The sons of Eliphaz; Teman, and Omar, Zephi, and Gatam, Kenaz, and Timna, and Amalek.	36 Fils d'Eliphaz : Théman, Omar, Séphi, Gatham, Cénez, Thamna, Amalec.
37 The sons of Reuel; Nahath, Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah.	37 Fils de Rahuel : Nahath, Zara, Samma, Méza.
38 And the sons of Seir; Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah, and Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan.	38 Fils de Séir : Lotan, Sobal, Sébéon, Ana, Dison, Eser, Disan.
39 And the sons of Lothan; Hori, and Homam: and Timna was Lotan's sister.	39 Fils de Lotan : Hori et Homam. Or la soeur de Lotan était Thamna.
40 The sons of Shobal; Alian, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shephi, and Onam. And the sons of Zibeon; Aiah, and Anah.	40 Fils de Sobal : Alian, Manahath, Ebal, Séphi et Onam. Fils de Sébéon : Aïa et Ana. Fils d'Ana : Dison.
41 The sons of Anah; Dishon. And the sons of Dishon; Amram, and Eshban, and Ithran, and Cheran.	41 Fils de Dison : Hamram, Eséban, Jéthran, et Charan.
42 The sons of Ezer; Bilhan, and Zavan, and Jakan. The sons of Dishan; Uz, and Aran.	42 Fils d'Eser : Balaan, Zavan, Jacan. Fils de Disan : Hus et Aran.
43 Now these are the kings that reigned in the land of Edom before any king reigned over the children of Israel; Bela the son of Beor: and the name of his city was Dinhabah.	43 Voici les rois qui régnèrent au pays d'Edom, avant qu'il y eût un roi établi sur les enfants d'Israël : Balé, fils de Béor, dont la ville s'appelait Dénaba.
44 And when Bela was dead, Jobab the son of Zerah of Bozrah reigned in his stead.	44 Balé étant mort, Jobab, fils de Zaré, de Bosra, régna à sa place.
45 And when Jobab was dead, Husham of the land of the Temanites reigned in his stead.	45 Après la mort de Jobab, Husam, qui était du pays de Théman, régna à sa place.
46 And when Husham was dead, Hadad the son of Bedad, which smote Midian in the field of Moab, reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Avith.	46 Husam étant mort aussi, Adad, fils de Badad, régna à sa place. Ce fut lui qui défit les Madianites dans le pays de Moab. Sa ville s'appelait Avith.
47 And when Hadad was dead, Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his stead.	47 Après la mort d'Adad, Semla, qui était de Masréca, régna à sa place.
48 And when Samlah was dead, Shaul of Rehoboth by the river reigned in his stead.	48 Semla étant mort aussi, Saül, de Rohoboth, ville située sur le fleuve, régna après lui.
49 And when Shaul was dead, Baal-hanan the son of Achbor reigned in his stead.	49 Et après la mort de Saül, Balanan, fils d'Achobor, régna à sa place.
50 And when Baal-hanan was dead, Hadad reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Pai; and his wife's name was Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Mezahab.	50 Celui-ci mourut aussi, et Adad régna à sa place; sa ville s'appelait Phaü, et sa femme se nommait Méétabel, fille de Matred, qui était fille de Mézaab.
51 Hadad died also. And the dukes of Edom were; duke Timnah, duke Aliah, duke Jetheth,	51 Après la mort d'Adad, le pays d'Edom n'eut plus de rois, mais des gouverneurs : le gouverneur Thamna, le gouverneur Alva, le gouverneur Jétheth,
52 Duke Aholibamah, duke Elah, duke Pinon,	52 le gouverneur Oolibama, le gouverneur Ela, le gouverneur Phinon,
53 Duke Kenaz, duke Teman, duke Mibzar,	53 le gouverneur Cénez, le gouverneur Théman, le gouverneur Mabsar,
54 Duke Magdiel, duke Iram. These are the dukes of Edom.	54 le gouverneur Magdiel, le gouverneur Hiram; ce furent là les gouverneurs d'Edom.
