JERUSALEM	KING JAMES BIBLE
1 La deuxième année du roi Darius, le sixième mois, le premier jour du mois, la parole de Yahvé fut adresséepar le ministère du prophète Aggée à Zorobabel, fils de Shéaltiel, gouverneur de Juda, et à Josué, fils deYehoçadaq, le grand prêtre, en ces termes:	1 In the second year of Darius the king, in the sixth month, in the first day of the month, came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet unto Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, saying,
2 Ainsi parle Yahvé Sabaot. Ce peuple dit: "Il n'est pas encore arrivé, le moment de rebâtir le Templede Yahvé!"	2 Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, This people say, The time is not come, the time that the LORD's house should be built.
3 (Et la parole de Yahvé fut adressée par le ministère du prophète en ces termes:)	3 Then came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet, saying,
4 Est-ce donc pour vous le moment de rester dans vos maisons lambrissées, quand cette Maison-là estdévastée?	4 Is it time for you, O ye, to dwell in your cieled houses, and this house lie waste?
5 Maintenant donc, ainsi parle Yahvé Sabaot. Réfléchissez en votre coeur au chemin que vous avezpris!	5 Now therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways.
6 Vous avez semé beaucoup mais peu engrangé; vous avez mangé, mais pas à votre faim; vous avezbu, mais pas votre saoul; vous vous êtes vêtus, mais non réchauffés. Le salarié a gagné son salaire pour le mettredans une bourse percée!	6 Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes.
7 Ainsi parle Yahvé Sabaot. Réfléchissez en votre coeur au chemin que vous avez pris!	7 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways.
8 Montez à la montagne, rapportez du bois et réédifiez la Maison; j'y mettrai ma complaisance et j'ymanifesterai ma gloire - dit Yahvé.	8 Go up to the mountain, and bring wood, and build the house; and I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified, saith the LORD.
9 Vous attendiez l'abondance et ce fut maigre. Quand vous avez engrangé, j'ai soufflé dessus. Pourquoidonc? Oracle de Yahvé Sabaot. A cause de ma Maison qui est détruite, tandis que vous vous empressez chacunpour votre maison.	9 Ye looked for much, and, lo, it came to little; and when ye brought it home, I did blow upon it. Why? saith the LORD of hosts. Because of mine house that is waste, and ye run every man unto his own house.
10 C'est pourquoi les cieux ont retenu la pluie et la terre a retenu ses produits.	10 Therefore the heaven over you is stayed from dew, and the earth is stayed from her fruit.
11 J'ai appelé la sécheresse sur la terre, sur les montagnes, sur le blé, sur le vin nouveau, sur l'huilefraîche et sur tout ce que produit le sol, sur les hommes et sur le bétail, et sur tout le labeur de vos mains.	11 And I called for a drought upon the land, and upon the mountains, and upon the corn, and upon the new wine, and upon the oil, and upon that which the ground bringeth forth, and upon men, and upon cattle, and upon all the labour of the hands.
12 Or Zorobabel, fils de Shéaltiel, Josué, fils de Yehoçadaq, le grand prêtre, et tout le reste du peupleécoutèrent la voix de Yahvé leur Dieu et les paroles du prophète Aggée, selon la mission dont Yahvé leur Dieul'avait chargé. Et le peuple éprouva de la crainte devant Yahvé.	12 Then Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, with all the remnant of the people, obeyed the voice of the LORD their God, and the words of Haggai the prophet, as the LORD their God had sent him, and the people did fear before the LORD.
13 Aggée, le messager de Yahvé, parla en ces termes au peuple, selon le message de Yahvé: "Je suisavec vous, oracle de Yahvé."	13 Then spake Haggai the LORD's messenger in the LORD's message unto the people, saying, I am with you, saith the LORD.
14 Et Yahvé excita l'esprit de Zorobabel, fils de Shéaltiel, gouverneur de Juda, l'esprit de Josué, fils deYehoçadaq, le grand prêtre, et l'esprit de tout le reste du peuple: ils vinrent et se mirent à l'ouvrage dans leTemple de Yahvé Sabaot leur Dieu.	14 And the LORD stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people; and they came and did work in the house of the LORD of hosts, their God,
15 C'était le vingt-quatrième jour du sixième mois. La deuxième année du roi Darius,	15 In the four and twentieth day of the sixth month, in the second year of Darius the king.
