JERUSALEM	DOUAI-RHEIMS
1 Alors Yahvé dit à Aaron: "Toi, tes fils et la maison de ton père avec toi, vous porterez le poidsdes fautes commises envers le sanctuaire. Toi et tes fils avec toi vous porterez le poids des fautes de votresacerdoce.	1 And the Lord said to Aaron: Thou, and thy sons, and thy father's house with thee shall bear the iniquity of the sanctuary: and thou and thy sons with thee shall bear the sins of your priesthood.
2 Fais aussi, avec toi, approcher tes frères du rameau de Lévi, la tribu de ton père. Qu'ils te soientadjoints et qu'ils te servent, toi et tes fils, devant la Tente du Témoignage.	2 And take with thee thy brethren also of the tribe of Levi, and the sceptre of thy father, and let them be ready in hand, and minister to thee: but thou and thy sons shall minister in the tabernacle of the testimony.
3 Ils assureront ton service et celui de toute la Tente. A condition qu'ils ne s'approchent pas desobjets sacrés ni de l'autel, ils ne mourront pas plus que vous.	3 And the Levites shall watch to do thy commands, and about all the works of the tabernacle: only they shall not come nigh the vessels of the sanctuary nor the altar, lest both they die, and you also perish with them.
4 Ils te seront adjoints, ils assumeront la charge de la Tente du Rendez-vous, pour tout le service dela Tente, et aucun profane n'approchera de vous.	4 But let them be with thee, and watch in the charge of the tabernacle, and in all the ceremonies thereof. A stranger shall not join himself with you.
5 Vous assumerez la charge du sanctuaire et la charge de l'autel, et la Colère ne sévira plus contreles Israélites.	5 Watch ye in the charge of the sanctuary, and in the ministry of the altar: lest indignation rise upon the children of Israel.
6 C'est moi qui ai pris vos frères les Lévites d'entre les Israélites pour vous en faire don. A titre dedonnés, ils appartiennent à Yahvé, pour faire le service de la Tente du Rendez-vous.	6 I have given you your brethren the Levites from among the children of Israel, and have delivered them for a gift to the Lord, to serve in the ministries of the tabernacle.
7 Toi et tes fils, vous assumerez les fonctions sacerdotales pour tout ce qui concerne l'autel et pourtout ce qui est derrière le rideau. Vous accomplirez le service cultuel dont j'accorde l'office à votre sacerdoce.Mais le profane qui s'approchera mourra."	7 But thou and thy sons look ye to the priesthood: and all things that pertain to the service of the altar, and that are within the veil, shall be executed by the priests. If any stranger shall approach, he shall be slain.
8 Yahvé dit à Aaron: "Moi, je t'ai donné la charge de ce qu'on prélève pour moi. Tout ce queconsacrent les Israélites, je te le donne comme la part qui t'est assignée, ainsi qu'à tes fils, en vertu d'un décretperpétuel.	8 And the Lord said to Aaron: Behold I have given thee the charge of my firstfruits. All things that are sanctified by the children of Israel, I have delivered to thee and to thy sons for the priestly office, by everlasting ordinances.
9 Voici ce qui te reviendra sur les choses très saintes, sur les mets offerts: toutes les offrandes queme restituent les Israélites, à titre d'oblation, de sacrifice pour le péché, de sacrifice de réparation; c'est chose trèssainte, qui te reviendra ainsi qu'à tes fils.	9 These therefore shalt thou take of the things that are sanctified, and are offered to the Lord. Every offering, and sacrifice, and whatsoever is rendered to me for sin and for trespass, and becometh holy of holies, shall be for thee and thy sons.
10 Vous vous nourrirez des choses très saintes. Tout mâle en pourra manger. Tu les tiendras poursacrées.	10 Thou shalt eat it in the sanctuary: the males only shall eat thereof, because it is a consecrated thing to thee.
11 Ceci encore te reviendra: ce qui est prélevé sur les offrandes des Israélites, sur tout ce qui esttendu en geste de présentation, je te le donne, ainsi qu'à tes fils et à tes filles, en vertu d'un décret perpétuel.Quiconque est pur dans ta maison en pourra manger.	11 But the firstfruits, which the children of Israel shall vow and offer, I have given to thee, and to thy sons, and to thy daughters, by a perpetual law. He that is clean in thy house, shall eat them.
12 Tout le meilleur de l'huile, tout le meilleur du vin nouveau et du blé, ces prémices qu'ils offrentà Yahvé, je te les donne.	12 All the best of the oil, and of the wine, and of the corn, whatsoever firstfruits they offer to the Lord, I have given them to thee.
13 Tous les premiers produits de leur pays, qu'ils apportent à Yahvé, te reviendront; quiconque estpur dans ta maison en pourra manger.	13 All the firstripe of the fruits, that the ground bringeth forth, and which are brought to the Lord, shall be for thy use: he that is clean in thy house, shall eat them.
14 Tout ce qui est frappé d'anathème en Israël te reviendra.	14 Every thing that the children of Israel shall give by vow, shall be thine.
15 Tout premier-né qu'on apporte à Yahvé te reviendra, issu de tout être de chair, homme ouanimal; mais tu devras faire racheter le premier-né de l'homme, et tu feras racheter le premier-né d'un animalimpur.	15 Whatsoever is firstborn of all flesh, which they offer to the Lord, whether it be of men, or of beasts, shall belong to thee: only for the firstborn of man thou shalt take a price, and every beast that is unclean thou shalt cause to be redeemed,
16 Tu le feras racheter dans le mois de la naissance, en l'évaluant à cinq sicles d'argent, selon lesicle du sanctuaire qui est de vingt géras.	16 And the redemption of it shall be after one month, for five sicles of silver, by the weight of the sanctuary. A sicle hath twenty obols.
17 Seuls les premiers-nés de la vache, de la brebis et de la chèvre ne seront pas rachetés. Ils sontchose sainte: tu en verseras le sang sur l'autel, tu en feras fumer la graisse, comme mets consumé en parfumd'apaisement pour Yahvé,	17 But the firstling of a cow and of a sheep and of a goat thou shalt not cause to be redeemed, because they are sanctified to the Lord. Their blood only thou shalt pour upon the altar, and their fat thou shalt burn for a most sweet odour to the Lord.
18 et la viande t'en reviendra, ainsi que la poitrine de présentation et la cuisse droite.	18 But the flesh shall fall to thy use, as the consecrated breast, and the right shoulder shall be thine.
19 Tous les prélèvements que les Israélites font pour Yahvé sur les choses saintes, je te les donne,ainsi qu'à tes fils et à tes filles, en vertu d'un décret perpétuel. C'est là une alliance éternelle par le sel devantYahvé, pour toi et pour ta descendance avec toi."	19 All the firstfruits of the sanctuary which the children of Israel offer to the Lord, I have given to thee and to thy sons and daughters, by a perpetual ordinance. It is a covenant of salt for ever before the Lord, to thee and to thy sons.
20 Yahvé dit à Aaron: "Tu n'auras point d'héritage dans leur pays, il n'y aura pas de part pour toi aumilieu d'eux. C'est moi qui serai ta part et ton héritage au milieu des Israélites.	20 And the Lord said to Aaron: You shall possess nothing in their land, neither shall you have a portion among them: I am thy portion and inheritance in the midst of the children of Israel.
21 Voici: aux enfants de Lévi je donne pour héritage toute dîme perçue en Israël, en échange deleurs services, du service qu'ils font dans la Tente du Rendez-vous.	21 And I have given to the sons of Levi all the tithes of Israel for a possession for the ministry wherewith they serve me in the tabernacle of the covenant:
22 Les Israélites n'approcheront plus de la Tente du Rendez-vous: ils se chargeraient d'un péché etmourraient.	22 That the children of Israel may not approach any more to the tabernacle, nor commit deadly sin,
23 C'est Lévi qui fera le service de la Tente du Rendez-vous, et les Lévites porteront le poids deleurs fautes. C'est un décret perpétuel pour vos générations: les Lévites ne posséderont point d'héritage au milieudes Israélites,	23 But only the sons of Levi may serve me in the tabernacle, and bear the sins of the people. It shall be an everlasting ordinance in your generations. They shall not possess any other thing,
24 car c'est la dîme que les Israélites prélèvent pour Yahvé que je donne pour héritage aux Lévites.Voilà pourquoi je leur ai dit qu'ils ne posséderaient point d'héritage au milieu des Israélites."	24 But be content with the oblation or tithes, which I have separated for their uses and necessities.
25 Yahvé parla à Moïse et dit:	25 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
26 "Tu parleras aux Lévites et tu leur diras: Quand vous percevrez sur les Israélites la dîme que jevous donne en héritage de leur part, vous en retiendrez le prélèvement de Yahvé, la dîme de la dîme.	26 Command the Levites, and declare unto them: When you shall receive of the children of Israel the tithes, which I have given you, offer the firstfruits of them to the Lord, that is to say, the tenth part of the tenth:
27 Elle tiendra lieu du prélèvement à prendre sur vous, au même titre que le blé pris sur l'aire et levin nouveau pris sur la cuve.	27 That it may be reckoned to you as an oblation of firstfruits, as well of the barnfloors as of the winepresses:
28 Ainsi, vous aussi, vous retiendrez le prélèvement de Yahvé, sur toutes les dîmes que vouspercevrez sur les Israélites. Vous donnerez ce que vous aurez prélevé pour Yahvé au prêtre Aaron.	28 And of all the things of which you receive tithes, offer the firstfruits to the Lord, and give them to Aaron the priest.
29 Sur tous les dons que vous recevrez vous retiendrez le prélèvement de Yahvé; c'est sur lemeilleur de toutes choses que vous retiendrez la part sacrée.	29 All the things that you shall offer of the tithes, and shall separate for the gifts of the Lord, shall be the best and choicest things.
30 Tu leur diras: Lorsque vous en aurez prélevé le meilleur, tous ces dons tiendront lieu auxLévites du produit de l'aire et du produit de la cuve.	30 And thou shalt say to them: If you offer all the goodly and the better things of the tithes, it shall be reckoned to you as if you had given the firstfruits of the barnfloor and the winepress:
31 Vous pourrez les consommer, en tout lieu, vous et vos gens: c'est votre salaire pour votreservice dans la Tente du Rendez-vous.	31 And you shall eat them in all your places, both you and your families: because it is your reward for the ministry, wherewith you serve in the tabernacle of the testimony.
32 Vous ne serez pour cela chargés d'aucun péché, du moment que vous en aurez prélevé lemeilleur; vous ne profanerez pas les choses consacrées par les Israélites et vous ne mourrez pas."	32 And you shall not sin in this point, by reserving the choicest and fat things to yourselves, lest you profane the oblations of the children of Israel, and die.
