1 These are the generations of Aaron and Moses in the day that the Lord spoke to Moses in mount Sinai.	1 Queste sono le generazioni di Aronne e Mosè, nel giorno in cui il Signore parlò a Mosè sul monte Sinai.
2 And these the names of the sons of Aaron: his firstborn Nadab, then Abiu, and Eleazar, and Ithamar.	2 Questi sono i nomi dei figli di Aronne: Nadab, il primogenito, Abiu, Eleazaro e Itamar.
3 These the names of the sons of Aaron the priests that were anointed, and whose hands were filled and consecrated, to do the functions of priesthood.	3 Questi sono i nomi dei figli di Aronne, unti sacerdoti, le cui mani erano state riempite per il sacerdozio.
4 Now Nadab and Abiu died, without children, when they offered strange fire before the Lord, in the desert of Sinai: and Eleazar and Ithamar performed the priestly office in the presence of Aaron their father.	4 Nadab e Abiu morirono alla presenza del Signore, mentre offrivano fuoco profano davanti al Signore nel deserto del Sinai: non ebbero figli, e furono sacerdoti Eleazaro e Itamar, alla presenza di Aronne, loro padre.
5 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:	5 Il Signore disse a Mosè:
6 Bring the tribe of Levi, and make them stand in the sight of Aaron the priest to minister to him, and let them watch,	6 "Fa' avvicinare la tribù di Levi: la farai stare davanti ad Aronne, sacerdote, perché lo serva.
7 And observe whatsoever appertaineth to the service of the multitude before the tabernacle of the testimony,	7 Custodiranno il suo servizio e il servizio di tutta la comunità davanti alla tenda del convegno, per fare il lavoro della dimora.
8 And let them keep the vessels of the tabernacle, serving in the ministry thereof.	8 Custodiranno tutti gli arredi della tenda del convegno e il servizio dei figli d'Israele per fare il lavoro della dimora.
9 And thou shalt give the Levites for a gift,	9 Darai i leviti ad Aronne e ai suoi figli come "donati": essi saranno per lui "donati" da parte dei figli d'Israele.
10 To Aaron and to his sons, to whom they are delivered by the children of Israel. But thou shalt appoint Aaron and his sons over the service of priesthood. The stranger that approacheth to minister, shall be put to death.	10 Designerai poi Aronne e i suoi figli, perché custodiscano il proprio sacerdozio: ogni estraneo che si avvicinerà sarà messo a morte".
11 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying :	11 Il Signore disse a Mosè:
12 I have taken the Levites from the children of Israel, for every firstborn that openeth the womb among the children of Israel, and the Levites shall be mine.	12 "Ecco, io ho preso i leviti tra i figli d'Israele al posto di ogni primogenito, che apre il grembo tra i figli d'Israele, e saranno leviti per me:
13 For every firstborn is mine: since I struck the firstborn in the land of Egypt: I have sanctified to myself whatsoever is firstborn in Israel both of man and beast, they are mine: I am the Lord.	13 perché mio è ogni primogenito. Nel giorno in cui colpii tutti i primogeniti nella terra d'Egitto, feci santificare per me ogni primogenito in Israele: dall'uomo all'animale; sono miei. Io sono il Signore".
14 And the Lord spoke to Moses in the desert of Sinai, saying:	14 Il Signore ordinò a Mosè nel deserto del Sinai:
15 Number the sons of Levi by the houses of their fathers and their families, every male from one month and upward.	15 "Passa in rassegna i figli di Levi, secondo le loro case paterne, le loro famiglie: registrerai ogni maschio da un mese in su".
16 Moses numbered them as the Lord had commanded.	16 Mosè li registrò secondo la parola del Signore, come aveva ordinato.
17 And there were found sons of Levi by their names, Gerson and Caath and Merari.	17 Questi furono i figli di Levi secondo i loro nomi: Gherson, Keat e Merari.
18 The sons of Gerson: Lebni and Semei.	18 Questi sono i nomi dei figli di Gherson: Libni e Simei.
19 The sons of Caath: Amram, and Jesaar, Hebron and Oziel:	19 I figli di Keat, secondo le loro famiglie: Amram, Isear, Ebron e Uzziel.
20 The sons of Merari: Moholi and Musi.	20 I figli di Merari, secondo le loro famiglie: Macli e Musi. Queste sono le famiglie di Levi, secondo le loro case paterne.
21 Of Gerson were two families, the Lebnites, and the Semeites:	21 Di Gherson è la famiglia di Libni e la famiglia di Simei: questo il nome delle famiglie di Gherson.
22 Of which were numbered, people of the male sex from one month and upward, seven thousand five hundred.	22 I loro recensiti, contando tutti i maschi da un mese in su: 7.50 0.

26 The tabernacle itself and the cover thereof, the hanging that is drawn before the doors of the tabernacle of the covenant, and the curtains of the court: the hanging also that is hanged in the entry of the court of the tabernacle, and whatsoever belongeth to the rite of the altar, the cords of the tabernacle, and all the furniture thereof.	26 i tendoni del cortile e il drappo nell'apertura d'ingresso del cortile che circonda la dimora e l'altare, e le sue corde per il suo impiego.
27 Of the kindred of Caath come the families of the Amramites and Jesaarites and Hebronites and Ozielites. These are the families of the Caathites reckoned up by their names:	27 Di Keat è la famiglia di Amram, la famiglia di Isear, la famiglia di Ebron e la famiglia di Uzziel: queste sono le famiglie di Keat.
28 All of the male sex from one month and upward, eight thousand six hundred: they shall have the guard of the sanctuary,	28 Il numero di tutti i maschi da un mese in su era di 8.600. Essi avevano la cura del santuario.

34 All of the male kind from one month and upward, six thousand two hundred.	34 I loro recensiti, contando tutti i maschi da un mese in su: 6.200.
35 Their prince Suriel the son of Abihaiel: they shall camp on the north side.	35 Il capo della casa paterna, secondo le famiglie di Merari, è Suriel, figlio di Abicail: si accamperanno nella parte a nord della dimora.
36 Under their custody shall be the boards of the tabernacle, and the bars, and the pillars and their sockets, and all things that pertain to this kind of service:	36 Compito dei figli di Merari era curare le assi della dimora, le sue stanghe, le sue colonne, i suoi basamenti, tutti i suoi arredi e tutto il loro mantenimento;

38 Before the tabernacle of the covenant, that is to say on the east side, shall Moses and Aaron camp, with their sons, having the custody of the sanctuary, in the midst of the children of Israel. 39 All the Levites, that Moses and Aaron numbered according to the precept of the Lord, by their families, of the male kind from one month and upward, were twenty-two thousand.	39 Tutti i recensiti dei leviti, che Mosè ed Aronne recensirono sulla parola del Signore, secondo le loro famiglie, ogni maschio da un mese in su: 22.000.
40 And the Lord said to Moses: Number the firstborn of the male sex of the children of Israel, from one month and upward, and thou shalt take the sum of them.	40 Il Signore disse a Mosè: "Fa' il censimento di tutti i primogeniti maschi tra i figli d'Israele, da un mese in su, e preleva il numero dei loro nomi:
41 And thou shalt take the Levites to me for all the firstborn of the children of Israel, I am the Lord: and their cattle for all the firstborn of the cattle of the children of Israel:	41 prenderai i leviti per me -- io sono il Signore -- al posto di ogni maschio dei figli d'Israele e il bestiame dei leviti al posto di ogni primogenito del bestiame dei figli d'Israele".
42 Moses reckoned up, as the Lord had commanded, the firstborn of the children of Israel:	42 Mosè fece il censimento, come gli aveva ordinato il Signore, di ogni primogenito dei figli d'Israele.
43 And the males by their names, from one month and upward, were twenty-two thousand two hundred and seventy-three.	43 Ogni primogenito maschio, contando i nomi da un mese in su, secondo il loro censimento: 22.273.
44 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saving:	44 Il Signore ordinò a Mosè:
45 Take the Levites for the firstborn of the children of Israel, and the cattle of the Levites for their cattle, and the Levites shall be mine. I am the Lord.	45 "Prendi i leviti al posto di ogni primogenito dei figli d'Israele e il bestiame dei leviti al posto del loro bestiame: miei saranno i leviti -- io sono il Signore. --
46 But for the price of the two hundred and seventy-three, of the firstborn of the children of Israel, that exceed the number of the Levites,	46 Come prezzo di riscatto dei 27 3 che eccedono i leviti tra i primogeniti dei figli d'Israele,
47 Thou shalt take five sides for every head, according to the weight of the sanctuary. A sicle hath twenty obols.	47 prenderai cinque sicli a testa: prenderai del siclo del santuario, di venti ghera per siclo.

49 Moses therefore took the money of them that were above, and whom they had redeemed from the Levites,	49 Mosè prese il denaro del prezzo del riscatto per quelli che eccedevano il numero di riscatto dei leviti:
50 For the firstborn of the children of Israel, one thousand three hundred and sixty-five sicles, according to the weight of the sanctuary,	50 dai primogeniti dei figli d'Israele prese in denaro 1.365 sicli del santuario.
51 And gave it to Aaron and his sons, according to the word that the Lord had commanded him.	51 Mosè diede il denaro del prezzo del riscatto ad Aronne e ai suoi figli, come il Signore gli aveva ordinato.
