1 Unto the end, destroy not, for David for an inscription of It title, when Saul sent and watched his house to kill him.	1 n'exterminez pas; de David, pour l'inscription du titre, quand Saül envoya garder sa maison pour le tuer.
2 Deliver me from my enemies, O my God; and defend me from them that rise up against me.	2 Sauvez-moi des mains de mes ennemis, ô mon Dieu, * et délivrez-moi de ceux qui se lèvent contre moi.
3 Deliver me from them that work iniquity, and save me from bloody men.	3 Délivrez-moi de ceux qui commettent l'iniquité, * et sauvez-moi des hommes de sang.
4 For behold they have caught my soul: the mighty have rushed in upon me:	4 Car voici qu'ils se sont rendus maîtres de ma vie; * des hommes puissants se sont précipités sur moi.
5 Neither is it my iniquity, nor my sin, O Lord: without iniquity have I run, and directed my steps.	5 Il n'y a eu ni faute ni péché de ma part, Seigneur; * j'ai couru et j'ai conduit mes pas sans injustice.
6 Rise up thou to meet me, and behold: even thou, O Lord, the God of hosts, the God of Israel. Attend to visit all the nations: have no mercy on all them that work iniquity.	6 Levez-Vous au-devant de moi, et voyez. * Et Vous, Seigneur, Dieu des armées, Seigneur d'Israël, appliquez-Vous à visiter toutes les nations; * n'ayez pas pitié de tous ceux qui commettent l'iniquité.
7 They shall return at evening, and shall suffer hunger like dogs: and shall go round about the city.	7 Ils reviendront le soir, et ils seront affamés comme des chiens, * et ils feront le tour de la ville.
8 Behold they shall speak with their mouth, and a sword is in their lips: for who, say they, hath heard us ?	8 Voici qu'ils parleront de leur bouche, et un glaive sera sur leurs lèvres; * car qui est-ce qui a entendu?
9 But thou, O Lord, shalt laugh at them: thou shalt bring all the nations to nothing.	9 Et Vous, Seigneur, Vous Vous rirez d'eux; * Vous réduirez à néant toutes les nations.
10 I will keep my strength to thee: for thou art my protector:	10 C'est en Vous que je conserverai ma force; car, ô Dieu, Vous êtes mon défenseur. *
11 my God, his mercy shall prevent me.	11 La miséricorde de mon Dieu me préviendra.
12 God shall let me see over my enemies: slay them not, lest at any time my people forget. Scatter them by thy power; and bring them down, O Lord, my protector:	12 Dieu me fera regarder par-dessus mes ennemis. Ne les tuez pas, * de peur qu'on n'oublie, mon peuple. Dispersez-les par Votre puissance, * et renversez-les, Seigneur, Vous qui êtes mon protecteur,
13 For the sin of their mouth, and the word of their lips: and let them be taken in their pride. And for their cursing and lying they shall be talked of,	13 à cause du crime de leur bouche, des paroles de leurs lèvres; * et qu'ils soient pris dans leur orgueil. Et l'on publiera leurs malédictions et leurs mensonges,
14 when they are consumed: when they are consumed by thy wrath, and they shall be no more. And they shall know that God will rule Jacob, and all the ends of the earth.	14 au jour de la consommation, * dans la colère de la consommation; et ils ne seront plus. Et ils sauront que Dieu règnera sur Jacob * et jusqu'aux extrémités de la terre.
15 They shall return at evening and shall suffer hunger like dogs: and shall go round about the city.	15 Ils reviendront le soir, et ils seront affamés comme des chiens, * et ils feront le tour de la ville.
16 They shall be scattered abroad to eat, and shall murmur if they be not filled.	16 Ils se disperseront pour manger; * mais, s'ils ne sont point rassasiés, ils murmureront.
17 But I will sing thy strength: and will extol thy mercy in the morning. For thou art become my support, and my refuge, in the day of my trouble.	17 Mais moi, je chanterai Votre puissance, * et le matin je célébrerai avec joie Votre miséricorde. Car Vous Vous êtes fait mon protecteur * et mon refuge au jour de ma tribulation.
18 Unto thee, O my helper, will I sing, for thou art God my defence: my God my mercy.	18 O mon défenseur, je Vous célébrerai, parce que Vous êtes le Dieu qui me protégez, * mon Dieu, ma miséricorde.
