| 1 La parole du Seigneur me fut adressée en ces termes : | 1 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying: |
| 2 Fils de (d'un) l'homme, tu habites au milieu d'une maison qui m'irrite (exaspère) ; ils ont des yeux pour voir, et ils ne voient pas ; et des oreilles pour entendre, et ils n'entendent pas, car c'est une maison qui m'irrite (exaspère). | 2 “Son of man, you live in the midst of a provoking house. They have eyes to see, and they do not see; and ears to hear, and they do not hear. For they are a provoking house. |
| 3 Toi donc, fils de (d'un) l'homme, prépare-toi un bagage d'émigrant (fais-toi des meubles de transmigration), et tu émigreras en plein jour devant eux ; tu émigreras (passeras) du lieu où tu es dans un autre lieu, en leur présence ; peut-être y feront-ils attention, quoique ce soit une maison qui m'irrite (exaspère). | 3 As for you, then, son of man, prepare for yourself the supplies for traveling far away, and travel away in the daytime in their sight. And you shall travel from your place to another place in their sight, so that perhaps they may consider it. For they are a provoking house. |
| 4 Tu transporteras tes meubles hors de chez toi, à leurs yeux, pendant le jour, comme un homme qui émigre ; et tu sortiras toi-même le soir devant eux, comme fait un homme qui émigre. | 4 And you shall carry your supplies outside, like the supplies of one who is traveling far away, in the daytime in their sight. Then you shall go forth in the evening in their presence, just as one goes forth who is moving far away. |
| 5 Sous leurs yeux perce la muraille, et sors par cette ouverture. | 5 Dig for yourself through the wall, before their eyes. And you shall go out through it. |
| 6 En leur présence, fais-toi porter (tu seras porté) sur les épaules de quelques hommes ; on t'emportera dans l'obscurité ; tu voileras ton visage, et tu ne regarderas pas la terre ; car je t'ai donné comme présage (établi signe) à la maison d'Israël. | 6 In their sight, you shall be carried on shoulders, you shall be carried in the dark. You shall cover your face, and you shall not see the ground. For I have appointed you as a portent for the house of Israel.” |
| 7 Je fis donc ce que le Seigneur m'avait ordonné ; je transportai mes meubles en plein jour, comme un homme qui émigre, et le soir je perçai de ma main la muraille, et je sortis dans l'obscurité, des hommes me portant sur leurs épaules en présence du peuple. | 7 Therefore, I did just as he had instructed me. I brought out my supplies in the daytime, like the supplies of one who is moving far away. And in the evening, I dug myself through the wall by hand. And I went out in the dark, and I was carried on shoulders, in their sight. |
| 8 Le matin, la parole du Seigneur me fut adressée en ces termes : | 8 And the word of the Lord came to me, in the morning, saying: |
| 9 Fils de (d'un) l'homme, la maison d'Israël, cette maison qui m'irrite (exaspère), ne t'a-t-elle pas dit : Que fais-tu ? | 9 “Son of man, has not the house of Israel, the provoking house, said to you: ‘What are you doing?’ |
| 10 Dis-leur : Ainsi parle le Seigneur Dieu : Cette menace (Ce malheur accablant) concerne (tombera sur) le chef qui est à Jérusalem, et toute la maison d'Israël qui est au milieu d'eux. | 10 Say to them: Thus says the Lord God: This is the burden concerning my leader who is in Jerusalem, and concerning the entire house of Israel, who are in their midst. |
| 11 Dis-leur : Je suis pour vous un présage (votre signe). Ce que j'ai fait, c'est ce qui leur sera fait : ils iront en exil et en captivité. | 11 Say: I am your portent. Just as I have done, so shall it be done to them. They will be taken captive and moved far away. |
| 12 Le chef qui est au milieu d'eux sera (em)porté sur les épaules, et il sortira dans l'obscurité ; on percera la muraille pour le faire sortir (de la ville) ; son visage sera voilé, afin que sonœil ne regarde pas la terre. | 12 And the leader who is in their midst will be carried on shoulders; he will go forth in darkness. They will dig through the wall, so that they may lead him away. His face will be covered, so that he may not see the land with his eye. |
| 13 J'étendrai mon rets sur lui, et il sera pris dans mon filet (ma seine) ; je l'emmènerai à Babylone, dans le pays des Chaldéens ; mais il ne le verra pas, et il y mourra. | 13 And I will extend my net over him, and he will be captured in my dragnet. And I will lead him to Babylon, into the land of the Chaldeans, but he himself will not see it. And there he shall die. |
| 14 Tous ceux qui sont autour de lui, sa garde et ses troupes, je les disperserai à tous les vents, et je tirerai l'épée derrière eux. | 14 And all who are around him, his guards and his companies, I will scatter into every wind. And I will unsheathe the sword after them. |
| 15 Et ils sauront que je suis le Seigneur, quand je les aurai dispersés parmi les nations et disséminés en divers pays. | 15 And they shall know that I am the Lord, when I will have dispersed them among the Gentiles, and will have sowed them among the lands. |
| 16 Je laisserai d'entre eux quelques hommes qui échapperont à l'épée, à la famine et à la peste, afin qu'ils racontent tous leurs crimes parmi les nations où ils iront ; et ils sauront que je suis le Seigneur. | 16 And I will leave behind a few men of them, apart from the sword, and the famine, and the pestilence, so that they may declare all their wicked deeds among the Gentiles, to whom they will go. And they shall know that I am the Lord.” |
| 17 La parole du Seigneur me fut adressée en ces termes : | 17 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying: |
| 18 Fils de (d'un) l'homme, mange ton pain dans l'épouvante (le trouble), et bois ton eau à la hâte et dans la tristesse. | 18 “Son of man, eat your bread in consternation. Moreover, drink your water hurriedly and in sorrow. |
| 19 Et tu diras au peuple du pays : Ainsi parle le Seigneur Dieu à ceux qui habitent à Jérusalem, dans le pays d'Israël : Ils mangeront leur pain dans l'inquiétude, et ils boiront leur eau dans la désolation ; car (afin que) ce pays, privé (soit dépouillé) de sa multitude, (sera désolé,) à cause de l'iniquité de tous ceux qui l'habitent. | 19 And say to the people of the land: Thus says the Lord God, to those who are living in Jerusalem, in the land of Israel: They shall eat their bread in anxiety, and drink their water in desolation, so that the land may be desolate before its multitude, because of the iniquity of all who are living in it. |
| 20 Ces villes, qui sont maintenant peuplées, deviendront une solitude (seront désolées) ; le pays sera désert, et vous saurez que je suis le Seigneur. | 20 And cities that are now inhabited will become desolate, and the land will be forsaken. And you shall know that I am the Lord.” |
| 21 La parole du Seigneur me fut adressée en ces termes : | 21 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying: |
| 22 Fils de (d'un) l'homme, quel est ce proverbe que vous employez dans le pays d'Israël : Les jours se prolongent, et toutes les visions seront sans effet ? | 22 “Son of man, what is this proverb that you have in the land of Israel? saying: ‘The days shall be extended in length, and every vision shall perish.’ |
| 23 Dis-leur donc : Ainsi parle le Seigneur Dieu : Je ferai cesser ce proverbe, et on ne l'emploiera plus (publiquement) désormais en Israël, dis-leur que les jours approchent, et que toutes les visions s'accompliront. | 23 Therefore, say to them: Thus says the Lord God: I will cause this proverb to cease, and it shall no longer be a common saying in Israel. And tell them that the days are approaching, and the word of every vision. |
| 24 Car désormais aucune vision ne sera vaine, et aucune prédiction ne sera incertaine au milieu des enfants d'Israël. | 24 For there shall be no longer be any empty visions, nor any ambiguous divination in the midst of the sons of Israel. |
| 25 Car c'est moi, le Seigneur, qui parlerai, et toutes les paroles que j'aurai prononcées s'accompliront sans retard ; et dans vos jours mêmes, maison qui m'irritez (exaspères), je parlerai, et j'exécuterai ma parole, dit le Seigneur Dieu. | 25 For I, the Lord, will speak. And whatever word I will speak, it shall be done, and it shall not be delayed any more. Instead, in your days, O provoking house, I will speak a word and do it, says the Lord God.” |
| 26 La parole du Seigneur me fut adressée en ces termes : | 26 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying: |
| 27 Fils de (d'un) l'homme, voici que la maison d'Israël dit : Les visions que voit celui-ci sont pour des jours lointains, et il prophétise pour des temps éloignés. | 27 “Son of man, behold the house of Israel, those who are saying: ‘The visions that this one sees is many days away,’ and, ‘This man prophesies about times that are far away.’ |
| 28 C'est pourquoi dis-leur : Ainsi parle le Seigneur Dieu : Désormais aucune de mes paroles ne sera différée ; mais tout ce que je dirai (j'aurai dit) s'accomplira, dit le Seigneur Dieu. | 28 Because of this, say to them: Thus says the Lord God: No word of mine will be delayed any longer. The word that I will speak will be fulfilled, says the Lord God.” |
