| 2 Je prie Evodie, et je conjure Syntiché, d'avoir les mêmes sentiments dans le Seigneur. | 2 I beg of Evodia, and I beseech Syntyche, to be of one mind in the Lord. |
| 3 Et toi aussi, mon fidèle collègue, je te prie de les assister, elles qui ont travaillé avec moi pour l'Evangile, avec Clément et mes autres collaborateurs, dont les noms sont dans le livre de vie. | 3 And I entreat thee also, my sincere companion, help those women who have laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement and the rest of my fellow labourers, whose names are in the book of life. |
| 4 Réjouissez-vous dans le Seigneur, en tout temps; je le répète, réjouissez-vous. | 4 Rejoice in the Lord always; again, I say, rejoice. |
| 5 Que votre modestie soit connue de tous les hommes; le Seigneur est proche. | 5 Let your modesty be known to all men. The Lord is nigh. |
| 6 Ne vous inquiétez de rien; mais, en toute chose, faites connaître vos demandes à Dieu par la prière et la supplication, accompagnées d'actions de grâces; | 6 Be nothing solicitous; but in every thing, by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your petitions be made known to God. |
| 7 et que la paix de Dieu, qui surpasse toute intelligence, garde vos coeurs et vos esprits dans le Christ Jésus! | 7 And the peace of God, which surpasseth all understanding, keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. |
| 8 Au reste, frères, tout ce qui est vrai, tout ce qui est pudique, tout ce qui est juste, tout ce qui est saint, tout ce qui est aimable, tout ce qui est de bonne réputation, ce qui est vertueux, ce qui est louable dans le règlement des moeurs, que ce soit l'objet de vos pensées. | 8 For the rest, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever modest, whatsoever just, whatsoever holy, whatsoever lovely, whatsoever of good fame, if there be any virtue, if any praise of discipline, think on these things. |
| 9 Ce que vous avez appris, et reçu, et entendu de moi, et ce que vous avez vu en moi, pratiquez-le, et le Dieu de paix sera avec vous. | 9 The things which you have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, these do ye, and the God of peace shall be with you. |

| 11 Ce n'est pas en vue de mes besoins que je dis cela; car j'ai appris à me contenter de l'état où je me trouve. | 11 I speak not as it were for want. For I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, to be content therewith. |
| 12 Je sais être dans l'humiliation, je sais aussi vivre dans l'abondance; j'ai été instruit par tout et en tout, à être rassasié et à avoir faim, à être dans l'abondance et à souffrir l'indigence. | 12 I know both how to be brought low, and I know how to abound: (everywhere, and in all things I am instructed) both to be full, and to be hungry; both to abound, and to suffer need. |
| 13 Je puis tout en Celui qui me fortifie. | 13 I can do all these things in him who strengtheneth me. |
| 14 Cependant vous avez bien fait de prendre part à ma tribulation. | 14 Nevertheless you have done well in communicating to my tribulation. |
| 15 Vous savez aussi, vous Philippiens, qu'au commencement de la prédication de l'Evangile, lorsque je quittai la Macédoine, nulle autre Eglise, si ce n'est la vôtre, ne se mit en rapport avec moi pour donner et pour recevoir, | 15 And you also know, O Philippians, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but you only: |
| 16 car, à Thessalonique, par deux fois, vous m'avez envoyé de quoi pourvoir à mes besoins. | 16 For unto Thessalonica also you sent once and again for my use. |
| 17 Ce n'est pas que je recherche les dons; mais je recherche un fruit abondant pour votre compte. | 17 Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that may abound to your account. |
| 18 J'ai tout reçu, et je suis dans l'abondance; je suis comblé, ayant reçu d'Epaphrodite ce que vous avez envoyé, parfum de suavité, sacrifice que Dieu accepte et qui Lui est agréable. | 18 But I have all, and abound: I am filled, having received from Epaphroditus the things you sent, an odour of sweetness, an acceptable sacrifice, pleasing to God. |
| 19 Que mon Dieu pourvoie à tous vos besoins selon Ses richesses, avec gloire, dans le Christ Jésus. | 19 And may my God supply all your want, according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. |
| 20 A notre Dieu et Père, gloire dans les siècles des siècles. Amen. | 20 Now to God and our Father be glory world without end. Amen. |
| 21 Saluez tous les saints dans le Christ Jésus. | 21 Salute ye every saint in Christ Jesus. |
| 22 Les frères qui sont avec moi vous saluent. Tous les saints vous saluent, et principalement ceux qui sont de la maison de César. | 22 The brethren who are with me, salute you. All the saints salute you; especially they that are of Caesar's household. |
