| 1 Et voici, dans les derniers temps, la montagne de la maison du Seigneur sera fondée sur le sommet des monts et elle s'élèvera au-dessus des collines; les peuples y afflueront, | 1 But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the LORD shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it. |
| 2 et les nations accourront en foule, et diront: Venez, montons à la montagne du Seigneur et à la maison du Dieu de Jacob; Il nous enseignera Ses voies, et nous marcherons dans Ses sentiers, car de Sion sortira la loi, et de Jérusalem la parole du Seigneur. | 2 And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. |
| 3 Il jugera des peuples nombreux, et Il châtira jusqu'au loin des nations puissantes; ils changeront leurs épées en socs de charrue, et leurs lances en hoyaux; une nation ne tirera plus l'épée contre une autre nation, et ils ne s'apprendront plus à combattre. | 3 And he shall judge among many people, and rebuke strong nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more. |
| 4 Chacun se reposera sous sa vigne et sous son figuier, et il n'y aura personne pour les effrayer, car la bouche du Seigneur des armées a parlé. | 4 But they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make them afraid: for the mouth of the LORD of hosts hath spoken it. |
| 5 Car tous les peuples marchent chacun au nom de son dieu; mais nous, nous marcherons au nom du Seigneur notre Dieu, jusque dans l'éternité et au delà. | 5 For all people will walk every one in the name of his god, and we will walk in the name of the LORD our God for ever and ever. |
| 6 En ce jour-là, dit le Seigneur, Je rassemblerai celle qui boitait, et Je réunirai celle que J'avais rejetée et affligée. | 6 In that day, saith the LORD, will I assemble her that halteth, and I will gather her that is driven out, and her that I have afflicted; |
| 7 De celle qui boitait Je ferai un reste, et de celle qui souffrait, un peuple puissant; et le Seigneur régnera sur eux sur la montagne de Sion, depuis ce temps jusque dans l'éternité. | 7 And I will make her that halted a remnant, and her that was cast far off a strong nation: and the LORD shall reign over them in mount Zion from henceforth, even for ever. |
| 8 Et toi, tour du troupeau, ténébreuse fille de Sion, Il viendra jusqu'à toi; à toi viendra la puissance première, l'empire de la fille de Jérusalem. | 8 And thou, O tower of the flock, the strong hold of the daughter of Zion, unto thee shall it come, even the first dominion; the kingdom shall come to the daughter of Jerusalem. |
| 9 Maintenant pourquoi es-tu en proie à la tristesse? Est-ce que tu n'as pas un roi, ou ton conseiller a-t-il péri, pour que tu sois saisie par la douleur, comme une femme qui enfante? | 9 Now why dost thou cry out aloud? is there no king in thee? is thy counseller perished? for pangs have taken thee as a woman in travail. |
| 10 Afflige-toi et tourmente-toi, fille de Sion, comme une femme qui enfante, car tu sortiras maintenant de la ville, tu habiteras dans les champs, et tu viendras jusqu'à Babylone: là tu seras délivrée, là le Seigneur te rachètera de la main de tes ennemis. | 10 Be in pain, and labour to bring forth, O daughter of Zion, like a woman in travail: for now shalt thou go forth out of the city, and thou shalt dwell in the field, and thou shalt go even to Babylon; there shalt thou be delivered; there the LORD shall redeem thee from the hand of thine enemies. |
| 11 Et maintenant des nations nombreuses sont rassemblées contre toi, et elles disent: Qu'elle soit lapidée, et que nos yeux contemplent Sion! | 11 Now also many nations are gathered against thee, that say, Let her be defiled, and let our eye look upon Zion. |
| 12 Mais ils n'ont pas connu les pensées du Seigneur; ils n'ont pas compris Son dessein, car Il les a rassemblés comme la paille dans l'aire. | 12 But they know not the thoughts of the LORD, neither understand they his counsel: for he shall gather them as the sheaves into the floor. |
| 13 Lève-toi et foule la paille, fille de Sion; car Je te donnerai une corne de fer, Je te donnerai des ongles d'airain, et tu briseras des peuples nombreux, tu consacreras leurs rapines au Seigneur, et leur force au Dieu de toute la terre. | 13 Arise and thresh, O daughter of Zion: for I will make thine horn iron, and I will make thy hoofs brass: and thou shalt beat in pieces many people: and I will consecrate their gain unto the LORD, and their substance unto the Lord of the whole earth. |
