| 1 Le Seigneur parla encore à Moïse, et lui dit: | 1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, |
| 2 J'ai appelé nommément Béséléel, fils d'Uri, qui était fils de Hur, de la tribu de Juda. | 2 See, I have called by name Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah: |
| 3 Et Je l'ai rempli de l'esprit de Dieu, Je l'ai rempli de sagesse, d'intelligence et de science pour toutes sortes d'ouvrages. | 3 And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship, |
| 4 Pour inventer tout ce que l'art peut faire avec l'or, l'argent, l'airain, | 4 To devise cunning works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass, |
| 5 Le marbre, les pierres précieuses et tous les bois divers. | 5 And in cutting of stones, to set them, and in carving of timber, to work in all manner of workmanship. |
| 6 Je lui ai donné pour auxiliaire Ooliab, fils d'Achisamech, de la tribu de Dan, et J'ai répandu la sagesse dans le coeur de tous les artisans habiles, afin qu'ils fassent tout ce que Je vous ai ordonné de faire: | 6 And I, behold, I have given with him Aholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan: and in the hearts of all that are wise hearted I have put wisdom, that they may make all that I have commanded thee; |
| 7 Le tabernacle de l'alliance, l'arche du témoignage, le propitiatoire qui est au-dessus, et tout ce qui doit servir dans le tabernacle; | 7 The tabernacle of the congregation, and the ark of the testimony, and the mercy seat that is thereupon, and all the furniture of the tabernacle, |
| 8 La table avec ses vases, le chandelier d'or très pur avec tout ce qui sert à son usage, l'autel des parfums | 8 And the table and his furniture, and the pure candlestick with all his furniture, and the altar of incense, |
| 9 Et l'autel des holocaustes avec tous leurs vases, et le bassin avec sa base; | 9 And the altar of burnt offering with all his furniture, and the laver and his foot, |
| 10 Les vêtements saints destinés au ministère du grand prêtre Aaron et de ses fils, afin qu'ils soient revêtus d'ornements sacrés en exerçant les fonctions de leur sacerdoce; | 10 And the cloths of service, and the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons, to minister in the priest's office, |
| 11 L'huile d'onction et le parfum aromatique qui doit servir au sanctuaire. Ils exécuteront tout ce que Je vous ai commandé de faire. | 11 And the anointing oil, and sweet incense for the holy place: according to all that I have commanded thee shall they do. |
| 12 Le Seigneur parla encore à Moïse et lui dit: | 12 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, |
| 13 Parlez aux enfants d'Israël et dites-leur: Ayez grand soin d'observer Mon sabbat, parce que c'est la marque que J'ai établie entre Moi et vous, et qui doit passer après vous à vos enfants, afin que vous sachiez que c'est Moi qui suis le Seigneur qui vous sanctifie. | 13 Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the LORD that doth sanctify you. |
| 14 Observez Mon sabbat, parce qu'il vous doit être saint. Celui qui l'aura violé sera puni de mort. Si quelqu'un travaille ce jour-là, il périra du milieu de son peuple. | 14 Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people. |
| 15 Vous travaillerez pendant six jours; mais le septième jour est le sabbat et le repos consacré au Seigneur. Quiconque travaillera ce jour-là sera puni de mort. | 15 Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD: whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death. |
| 16 Que les enfants d'Israël observent le sabbat et qu'ils le célèbrent d'âge en âge. C'est un pacte éternel | 16 Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant. |
| 17 Entre Moi et les enfants d'Israël et une marque qui durera toujours; car le Seigneur a fait en six jours le ciel et la terre, et Il a cessé d'agir au septième. | 17 It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed. |
| 18 Le Seigneur, ayant achevé de parler en ces termes sur la montagne du Sinaï, donna à Moïse les deux tables du témoignage, qui étaient de pierre et écrites du doigt de Dieu. | 18 And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God. |
