1 (Per la fine. Per quelli che saran cangiati. Ai figli di Core. Meditazione. Per la persona amata).	1 Unto the end. For those who will be changed. To the sons of Korah, toward understanding. A Canticle for the Beloved.
2 Un bel canto m'è sgorgato dal cuore, vo' recitare al re la mia canzone: la mia lingua è come la penna di veloce scrivano.	2 My heart has uttered a good word. I speak of my works to the king. My tongue is like the pen of a scribe who writes quickly.
3 Tu sei il più bello tra i figlioli degli uomini, la grazia è diffusa sulle tue labbra, perciò Dio t'ha benedetto in eterno.	3 You are a brilliant form before the sons of men. Grace has been poured freely into your lips. Because of this, God has blessed you in eternity.
4 Cingiti al fianco la spada, o prode:	4 Fasten your sword to your thigh, O most powerful one.
5 Nella tua maestà, nella tua bellezza tendi l'arco, trionfa e regna per la verità, per la dolcezza, per la giustizia: la tua destra ti farà maravigliosamente la strada.	5 With your splendor and your excellence extended, proceed prosperously, and reign for the sake of truth and meekness and justice, and so will your right hand lead you wondrously.
6 Le tue frecce sono acute e t'assoggettano i popoli, esse s'infliggono nei cuori dei nemici del re.	6 Your arrows are sharp; the people will fall under you, with the hearts of the enemies of the king.
7 Il tuo trono è eterno, o Dio, lo scettro del tuo regno è scettro d'equità.	7 Your throne, O God, is forever and ever. The scepter of your kingdom is a scepter of true aim.
8 Tu ami la giustizia e odii l'iniquità; perciò, o Dio, il tuo Dio ti ha unto con unguento di letizia a preferenza dei tuoi compagni.	8 You have loved justice and hated iniquity. Because of this, God, your God, has anointed you, before your co-heirs, with the oil of gladness.
9 Profumo di mirra, d'aloe e di cassia vien dalle tue vesti, dai palazzi d'avorio, dai quali ti rallegrano,	9 Myrrh and balsam and cinnamon perfume your garments, from the houses of ivory. From these, they have delighted you:
10 Le figlie del re ti fanno onore; alla tua destra sta la regina con veste ricamata d'oro e coperta d'ornamenti.	10 the daughters of kings in your honor. The queen assisted at your right hand, in clothing of gold, encircled with diversity.
11 Ascolta, o figlia, guarda e porgi l'orecchio, e dimentica il tuo popolo e la casa di tuo padre.	11 Listen, daughter, and see, and incline your ear. And forget your people and your father’s house.
12 E il re s'innamorerà della tua bellezza, egli, il Signore Dio tuo, che adoreranno.	12 And the king will desire your beauty. For he is the Lord your God, and they will adore him.
13 Le figlie di Tiro ti porteranno doni, ti porgeranno suppliche i ricchi del popolo.	13 And the daughters of Tyre will entreat your countenance with gifts: all the rich men of the people.
14 Tutta la bellezza della figlia del re è interiore; essa ha le frange d'oro ed è coperta d'ornamenti.	14 All the glory of the daughter of its king is inside, in golden fringes,
15 Son presentate al re dopo di lei le vergini, le compagne di lei sono a te condotte.	15 clothed all around with diversities. After her, virgins will be led to the king. Her neighbors will be brought to you.
16 Son condotte con festosa allegrezza, son fatte entrare nel palazzo reale.	16 They will be brought with gladness and exultation. They will be led into the temple of the king.
17 In luogo dei tuoi padri verran su i tuoi figli; li costituirai principi sopra tutta la terra.	17 For your fathers, sons have been born to you. You will establish them as leaders over all the earth.
18 Ricorderanno il tuo nome per tutte le generazioni, e i popoli ti loderanno in eterno pei secoli dei secoli.	18 They will remember your name always, for generation after generation. Because of this, people will confess to you in eternity, even forever and ever.
