1 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as follows,	1 Mi fu rivolta la parola di Jahvè:
2 'Son of man, say to the ruler of Tyre, "The Lord Yahweh says this: Because your heart has grownproud, you thought: I am a god; I am divinely enthroned far out to sea. Though you are human, not divine, youhave allowed yourself to think like God.	2 «Figlio dell’uomo, parla al principe di Tiro: “Così dice il Signore Jahvè: Poiché il tuo cuore si è inorgoglito e hai detto: Io sono un dio, abito in una dimora divina, in mezzo al mare mentre tu sei un uomo e non un dio; poiché hai reso il tuo cuore come il cuore di Dio
3 So, you are wiser than Danel; no sage as wise as you!	3 eccoti più saggio di Daniele: nessun segreto ti è nascosto;
4 By your wisdom and your intel igence you have made yourself a fortune, you have put gold and silverinto your treasuries.	4 con la saggezza e la perspicacia ti sei procurato la ricchezza ammucchiando oro e argento nei tuoi tesori,
5 Such is your skill in trading, your fortune has continued to increase, and your fortune has made yourheart grow prouder.	5 con la tua grande saggezza, con il tuo commercio, hai accresciuto le tue ricchezze e si è inorgoglito il tuo cuore per esse”;
6 "And so, the Lord Yahweh says this: Since you have al owed yourself to think like God,	6 perciò così dice il Signore Jahvè: * Poiché tu nutri sentimenti simili a quelli di un dio,
7 very wel , I am going to bring foreigners against you, the most barbarous of the nations. They wil draw sword against your fine wisdom, they wil desecrate your splendour,	7 perciò ecco, sto per mandare contro di te stranieri, i più violenti tra i popoli; essi snuderanno le spade contro la tua bella saggezza e profaneranno il tuo splendore.
8 they will throw you down into the grave and you wil die a violent death far out to sea.	8 Ti precipiteranno nella fossa e farai la tormentosa fine dei trafitti in mezzo al mare.
9 Wil you stil think: I am a god, when your slaughterers confront you? But you will be human, not divine,in the clutches of the ones who strike you down!	9 Oserai ancora dire: Io sono dio, innanzi ai tuoi uccisori? Tu sei uomo e non dio, in balia dei tuoi uccisori.
10 You wil die like the uncircumcised at the hand of foreigners. "For I have spoken -- declares the LordYahweh." '	10 Farai la morte degli incirconcisi per opera di stranieri, perché io l’ho detto”» oracolo del Signore Jahvè.
11 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as fol ows,	11 Mi fu rivolta la parola di Jahvè:
12 'Son of man, raise a lament for the king of Tyre. Say to him, "The Lord Yahweh says this: You usedto be a model of perfection, ful of wisdom, perfect in beauty;	12 «Figlio dell’uomo, intona un’elegia sul re di Tiro; gli parlerai: “Così dice il Signore Jahvè: Tu eri un suggello di perfezione, pieno di saggezza e di perfetta bellezza.
13 you were in Eden, in the garden of God. Al kinds of gem formed your mantle: sard, topaz, diamond,chrysolite, onyx, jasper, sapphire, garnet, emerald, and your ear-pendants and spangles were made of gold; alwas ready on the day you were created.	13 Tu eri nell’Eden, giardino di Dio, ricoperto d’ogni specie di pietre preziose, rubino, topazio, diaspro, crisolito, onice, berillo, zaffiro, carbonchio e smeraldo; di oro era il lavoro dei tuoi orli e castoni, preparati il giorno in cui fosti creato.
14 I made you a living creature with outstretched wings, as guardian, you were on the holy mountain ofGod; you walked amid red-hot coals.	14 Come fulgido Cherubino protettore ti posi: eri sul monte santo di Dio e camminavi tra pietre di fuoco.
15 Your behaviour was exemplary from the day you were created until guilt first appeared in you,	15 Eri perfetto nella tua condotta dal giorno in cui fosti creato, finché in te si trovò l’iniquità.
16 because your busy trading has fil ed you with violence and sin. I have thrown you down from themountain of God and destroyed you, guardian winged creature, amid the coals.	16 Con tuo copioso commercio ti riempisti di misfatti peccando e io ti cacciai dal monte di Dio, e ti ho strappato, o Cherubino protettore, dalle pietre di fuoco.
17 Your heart has grown proud because of your beauty, your wisdom has been corrupted by yoursplendour. I have thrown you to the ground; I have made you a spectacle for kings.	17 Il tuo cuore si è inorgoglito per la tua bellezza; per il tuo splendore hai perduto la saggezza e io ti ho gettato a terra, ti ho posto dinanzi ai re perché ti osservino.
18 By the immense number of your crimes, by the dishonesty of your trading, you have defiled yoursanctuary. So I have brought fire out of you to devour you; I have reduced you to ashes on the ground before theeyes of al who saw you.	18 Con la tua grande iniquità, con l’ingiusto commercio hai profanato i tuoi santuari; io, perciò, ho fatto uscire da te un fuoco che ti ha divorato e ti ho ridotto in cenere sulla terra, sotto gli occhi di tutti coloro che ti guardavano.
19 Of the nations, al who know you are stunned at your fate. You are an object of terror; gone for ever."'	19 Quanti fra i popoli ti conoscevano restano attoniti per te; sei tutta terrori e sei finita per sempre”».
20 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as fol ows,	20 Mi fu rivolta la parola di Jahvè:
21 'Son of man, turn towards Sidon and prophesy against her.	21 «Figlio dell’uomo, volgi la faccia verso Sidone e profetizza contro di essa;
22 Say, "The Lord Yahweh says this: I am against you, Sidon, I will show my glory in you! They wilknow I am Yahweh, once I execute sentence on her and display my holiness in her.	22 parlerai: “Così dice il Signore Jahvè: Eccomi contro di te, Sidone; sarò glorificato in te e sapranno che io sono Jahvè quando avrò compiuto in essa la mia giusta vendetta, mostrando la mia santità.
23 For I shall send her the plague, and there wil be blood in her streets, and in her the dead wil falunder the sword raised against her from al sides, and they will know that I am Yahweh.	23 Manderò in essa peste e sangue per le sue strade; così, in essa, si cadrà trafitti di spada che graverà dappertutto; sapranno che io sono Jahvè.
24 "No more, for the House of Israel, shall any of the hostile nations surrounding them be a thorn thatwounds or a briar that tears; and they will know that I am Yahweh.	24 Non ci sarà più per la casa di Israele spina pungente, aculeo lacerante fra tutti i suoi vicini che la disprezzano; sapranno che o sono il Signore Jahvè”».
25 "The Lord Yahweh says this: When I gather the House of Israel back from the peoples where theyare dispersed, I shal display my glory in them for the nations to see. They wil live on the soil which I gave to myservant Jacob.	25 Così dice il Signore Jahvè: «Quando raccoglierò la casa di Israele di tra i popoli dove è stata dispersa, sarò glorificato in essi al cospetto delle genti; abiteranno nel loro paese che diedi al mio servitore Giacobbe.
26 They will live there in confidence, build houses, plant vineyards. They wil live in safety, once I inflictpunishments on all the hostile nations surrounding them, and they will know that I am Yahweh their God." '	26 Vi abiteranno in tranquillità, costruendo case e piantando vigne; rimarranno tranquilli, mentre compirò la mia giusta vendetta su tutti quei loro vicini che li disprezzano. Saprete che io sono Jahvè loro Dio».
