1 [For the choirmaster . . . Jeduthun Of Asaph Psalm] I cry to God in distress, I cry to God and he hearsme.	1 Zborovođi. Po Jedutunu. Asafov. Psalam.
2 In the day of my distress I sought the Lord; al night I tirelessly stretched out my hands, my heartrefused to be consoled.	2 Glasom svojim Bogu vapijem, glas mi se Bogu diže i on me čuje.
3 I sigh as I think of God, my spirit faints away as I ponder on him. Pause	3 U dan nevolje tražim Gospodina, noću mi se ruka neumorno pruža k njemu, ne može se utješit’ duša moja.
4 You kept me from closing my eyes, I was too distraught to speak;	4 Spominjem se Boga i uzdišem; kad razmišljam, daha mi nestane.
5 I thought of former times, years long past	5 Vjeđe moje držiš, potresen sam, ne mogu govoriti.
6 I recalled; through the night I ponder in my heart, as I reflect, my spirit asks this question:	6 Mislim na drevne dane i sjećam se davnih godina;
7 Is the Lord's rejection final? Will he never show favour again?	7 razmišljam noću u srcu, mislim, i duh moj ispituje:
8 Is his faithful love gone for ever? Has his Word come to an end for al time?	8 »Hoće li Gospodin odbaciti zauvijek i hoće li ikad još biti milostiv?
9 Does God forget to show mercy? In anger does he shut off his tenderness?Pause	9 Je li njegova dobrota minula zauvijek, njegovo obećanje propalo za sva pokoljenja?
10 And I said, 'This is what wounds me, the right hand of the Most High has lost its strength.'	10 Zar Bog je zaboravio da se smiluje, ili je gnjevan zatvorio smilovanje svoje?«
11 Remembering Yahweh's great deeds, remembering your wonders in the past,	11 I govorim: »Ovo je bol moja: promijenila se desnica Višnjega.«
12 I reflect on al that you did, I ponder all your great deeds.	12 Spominjem se djela Jahvinih, sjećam se tvojih pradavnih čudesa.
13 God, your ways are holy! What god is as great as our God?	13 Promatram sva djela tvoja, razmatram ono što si učinio.
14 You are the God who does marvel ous deeds, brought nations to acknowledge your power,	14 Svet je tvoj put, o Bože: koji je bog tako velik kao Bog naš?
15 with your own arm redeeming your people, the children of Jacob and Joseph.Pause	15 Ti si Bog koji čudesa stvaraš, na pucima si pokazao silu svoju.
16 When the waters saw you, God, when the waters saw you they writhed in anguish, the very depthsshook with fear.	16 Mišicom si izbavio narod svoj, sinove Jakovljeve i Josipove.
17 The clouds pelted down water, the sky thundered, your arrows shot back and forth.	17 Vode te ugledaše, Bože, ugledaše te vode i ustuknuše, bezdani se uzburkaše.
18 The rol ing of your thunder was heard, your lightning-flashes lit up the world, the earth shuddered andshook.	18 Oblaci prosuše vode, oblaci zatutnjiše gromom i tvoje strijele poletješe.
19 Your way led over the sea, your path over the countless waters, and none could trace your footsteps.	19 Grmljavina tvoja u vihoru zaori, munje rasvijetliše krug zemaljski, zemlja se zatrese i zadrhta.
20 You guided your people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron.	20 Kroz more put se otvori tebi i tvoja staza kroz vode goleme, a tragova tvojih nitko ne vidje.
	21 Ti si svoj narod vodio kao stado rukama Mojsija i Arona.
