NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 [Of David] ADORATION I offer, Yahweh,	1 De David. [Alef] A ti, Señor, elevo mi alma,
2 to you, my God. BUT in my trust in you do not put me to shame, let not my enemies gloat over me.	2 [Bet] Dios mío, yo pongo en ti mi confianza; ¡que no tenga que avergonzarme ni se rían de mí mis enemigos!
3 CALLING to you, none shal ever be put to shame, but shame is theirs who groundlessly break faith.	3 [Guímel] Ninguno de los que esperan en ti tendrá que avergonzarse: se avergonzarán los que traicionan en vano.
4 DIRECT me in your ways, Yahweh, and teach me your paths.	4 [Dálet] Muéstrame, Señor, tus caminos, enséñame tus senderos.
5 ENCOURAGE me to walk in your truth and teach me since you are the God who saves me. FOR myhope is in you all day long -- such is your generosity, Yahweh.	5 [He] Guíame por el camino de tu fidelidad; enséñame, porque tú eres mi Dios y mi salvador, [Vau]. y yo espero en ti todo el día.
6 GOODNESS and faithful love have been yours for ever, Yahweh, do not forget them.	6 [Zain] Acuérdate, Señor, de tu compasión y de tu amor, porque son eternos.
7 HOLD not my youthful sins against me, but remember me as your faithful love dictates.	7 [Jet] No recuerdes los pecados ni las rebeldías de mi juventud: por tu bondad, Señor, acuérdate de mi según tu fidelidad.
8 INTEGRITY and generosity are marks of Yahweh for he brings sinners back to the path.	8 [Tet] El Señor es bondadoso y recto: por eso muestra el camino a los extraviados;
9 JUDICIOUSLY he guides the humble, instructing the poor in his way.	9 [Iod] él guía a los humildes para que obren rectamente y enseña su camino a los pobres.
10 KINDNESS unfailing and constancy mark al Yahweh's paths, for those who keep his covenant andhis decrees.	10 [Caf] Todos los senderos del Señor son amor y fidelidad, para los que observan los preceptos de su alianza.
11 LET my sin, great though it is, be forgiven, Yahweh, for the sake of your name.	11 [Lámed] ¡Por el honor de tu Nombre, Señor, perdona mi culpa, aunque es muy grande!
12 MEN who respect Yahweh, what of them? He teaches them the way they must choose.	12 [Mem] ¿Hay alguien que teme al Señor? El le indicará el camino que debe elegir:
13 NEIGHBOURS to happiness wil they live, and their children inherit the land.	13 [Nun] su alma descansará feliz y su descendencia poseerá la tierra.
14 ONLY those who fear Yahweh have his secret and his covenant, for their understanding.	14 [Sámec] El Señor da su amistad a los que lo temen y les hace conocer su alianza.
15 PERMANENTLY my eyes are on Yahweh, for he will free my feet from the snare.	15 [Ain] Mis ojos están siempre fijos en el Señor, porque él sacará mis pies de la trampa.
16 QUICK, turn to me, pity me, alone and wretched as I am!	16 [Pe] Mírame, Señor, y ten piedad de mí, porque estoy solo y afligido:
17 RELIEVE the distress of my heart, bring me out of my constraint.	17 [Sade] alivia las angustias de mi corazón, y sácame de mis tribulaciones.
