John 3

NEW AMERICAN BIBLE	SMITH VAN DYKE
1 Now there was a Pharisee named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews.	1 كان انسان من الفريسيين اسمه نيقوديموس رئيس لليهود.
2 He came to Jesus at night and said to him, "Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher who has come from God, for no one can do these signs that you are doing unless God is with him."	2 هذا جاء الى يسوع ليلا وقال له يا معلّم نعلم انك قد أتيت من الله معلّما لان ليس احد يقدر ان يعمل هذه الآيات التي انت تعمل ان لم يكن الله معه.
3 Jesus answered and said to him, "Amen, amen, I say to you, no one can see the kingdom of God without being born from above."	3 اجاب يسوع وقال له الحق الحق اقول لك ان كان احد لا يولد من فوق لا يقدر ان يرى ملكوت الله.
4 Nicodemus said to him, "How can a person once grown old be born again? Surely he cannot reenter his mother's womb and be born again, can he?"	4 قال له نيقوديموس كيف يمكن الانسان ان يولد وهو شيخ. ألعله يقدر ان يدخل بطن امه ثانية ويولد.
5 Jesus answered, "Amen, amen, I say to you, no one can enter the kingdom of God without being born of water and Spirit.	5 اجاب يسوع الحق الحق اقول لك ان كان احد لا يولد من الماء والروح لا يقدر ان يدخل ملكوت الله.
6 What is born of flesh is flesh and what is born of spirit is spirit.	6 المولود من الجسد جسد هو والمولود من الروح هو روح.
7 Do not be amazed that I told you, 'You must be born from above.'	7 لا تتعجب اني قلت لك ينبغي ان تولدوا من فوق.
8 The wind blows where it wills, and you can hear the sound it makes, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes; so it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit."	8 الريح تهب حيث تشاء وتسمع صوتها لكنك لا تعلم من اين تأتي ولا الى اين تذهب. هكذا كل من ولد من الروح
9 Nicodemus answered and said to him, "How can this happen?"	9 اجاب نيقوديموس وقال له كيف يمكن ان يكون هذا.
10 Jesus answered and said to him, "You are the teacher of Israel and you do not understand this?	10 اجاب يسوع وقال له انت معلّم اسرائيل ولست تعلم هذا.
11 Amen, amen, I say to you, we speak of what we know and we testify to what we have seen, but you people do not accept our testimony.	11 الحق الحق اقول لك اننا انما نتكلم بما نعلم ونشهد بما رأينا ولستم تقبلون شهادتنا.
12 If I tell you about earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you about heavenly things?	12 ان كنت قلت لكم الارضيات ولستم تؤمنون فكيف تؤمنون ان قلت لكم السماويات.
13 No one has gone up to heaven except the one who has come down from heaven, the Son of Man.	13 وليس احد صعد الى السماء الا الذي نزل من السماء ابن الانسان الذي هو في السماء
14 And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the desert, so must the Son of Man be lifted up,	14 وكما رفع موسى الحية في البرية هكذا ينبغي ان يرفع ابن الانسان
15 so that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life."	15 لكي لا يهلك كل من يؤمن به بل تكون له الحياة الابدية.
16 For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him might not perish but might have eternal life.	16 لانه هكذا احب الله العالم حتى بذل ابنه الوحيد لكي لا يهلك كل من يؤمن به بل تكون له الحياة الابدية.
17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him.	17 لانه لم يرسل الله ابنه الى العالم ليدين العالم بل ليخلّص به العالم.
18 Whoever believes in him will not be condemned, but whoever does not believe has already been condemned, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.	18 الذي يؤمن به لا يدان والذي لا يؤمن قد دين لانه لم يؤمن باسم ابن الله الوحيد.
19 And this is the verdict, that the light came into the world, but people preferred darkness to light, because their works were evil.	19 وهذه هي الدينونة ان النور قد جاء الى العالم واحب الناس الظلمة اكثر من النور لان اعمالهم كانت شريرة.
20 For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come toward the light, so that his works might not be exposed.	20 لان كل من يعمل السيّآت يبغض النور ولا يأتي الى النور لئلا توبخ اعماله.
21 But whoever lives the truth comes to the light, so that his works may be clearly seen as done in God.	21 واما من يفعل الحق فيقبل الى النور لكي تظهر اعماله انها بالله معمولة
22 After this, Jesus and his disciples went into the region of Judea, where he spent some time with them baptizing.	22 وبعد هذا جاء يسوع وتلاميذه الى ارض اليهودية ومكث معهم هناك وكان يعمد.
23 John was also baptizing in Aenon near Salim, because there was an abundance of water there, and people came to be baptized,	23 وكان يوحنا ايضا يعمد في عين نون بقرب ساليم لانه كان هناك مياه كثيرة وكانوا يأتون ويعتمدون.
24 for John had not yet been imprisoned.	24 لانه لم يكن يوحنا قد ألقي بعد في السجن
25 Now a dispute arose between the disciples of John and a Jew about ceremonial washings.	25 وحدثت مباحثة من تلاميذ يوحنا مع يهود من جهة التطهير.
26 So they came to John and said to him, "Rabbi, the one who was with you across the Jordan, to whom you testified, here he is baptizing and everyone is coming to him."	26 فجاءوا الى يوحنا وقالوا له يا معلّم هوذا الذي كان معك في عبر الاردن الذي انت قد شهدت له هو يعمد والجميع يأتون اليه.
27 John answered and said, "No one can receive anything except what has been given him from heaven.	27 اجاب يوحنا وقال لا يقدر انسان ان يأخذ شيئا ان لم يكن قد أعطي من السماء.
28 You yourselves can testify that I said (that) I am not the Messiah, but that I was sent before him.	28 انتم انفسكم تشهدون لي اني قلت لست انا المسيح بل اني مرسل امامه.
29 The one who has the bride is the bridegroom; the best man, who stands and listens for him, rejoices greatly at the bridegroom's voice. So this joy of mine has been made complete.	29 من له العروس فهو العريس. واما صديق العريس الذي يقف ويسمعه فيفرح فرحا من اجل صوت العريس. اذا فرحي هذا قد كمل.
30 He must increase; I must decrease."	30 ينبغي ان ذلك يزيد واني انا انقص.
31 The one who comes from above is above all. The one who is of the earth is earthly and speaks of earthly things. But the one who comes from heaven (is above all).	31 الذي يأتي من فوق هو فوق الجميع. والذي من الارض هو ارضي ومن الارض يتكلم. الذي يأتي من السماء هو فوق الجميع.
32 He testifies to what he has seen and heard, but no one accepts his testimony.	32 وما رآه وسمعه به يشهد وشهادته ليس احد يقبلها.
33 Whoever does accept his testimony certifies that God is trustworthy.	33 ومن قبل شهادته فقد ختم ان الله صادق.
34 For the one whom God sent speaks the words of God. He does not ration his gift of the Spirit.	34 لان الذي ارسله الله يتكلم بكلام الله. لانه ليس بكيل يعطي الله الروح.
35 The Father loves the Son and has given everything over to him.	35 الآب يحب الابن وقد دفع كل شيء في يده.
36 Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever disobeys the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God remains upon him.	36 الذي يؤمن بالابن له حياة ابدية. والذي لا يؤمن بالابن لن يرى حياة بل يمكث عليه غضب الله
